Would not recommend.
Personally, the dessert was appetising til our food arrived. It taste & smells burnt the noodles were dry (Char Mee). Also my partner ordered the “koay throw th’ng” & described the food very bland. Both meals are giving reasonably $11 dollars at most compared to what we paid for. Definitely not worth it.
Matched high expectations
So happy with our meal here. I had high expectations on the food are reading the reviews. But it matched my high expectations and then some. The restaurant has a nice busyness to it. Nothing too fancy but nice and clean tables and staff are friendly and fast!

As visitors to Wellington, we found this gem right near our accommodation, and based on previous reviews, we thought we couldn't go wrong eating here, and....... it lived up to our expectations. We tried a range of dishes, curries with roti, noodle dishes, a rice dish and not one bad thing could be said about any of them. The kids loved it so much, they wanted to come back there every night we were in town! It was a busy night, and we came in with no reservation, but they fitted us in, and although service was a bit slow, that was understandable, but the food came out in good time, and it was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone going to Wellington.
Good value for a capital city
Visited here for meal February 2024, based upon all the good reviews. We were seated pretty quickly but it took some time to get served. When we did get served the lady went back over the order and we agreed all ok and as ordered. The food arrived and we thought some items didn’t look quite as pictured, but we continued as some were correct. Around 10 minutes later some more food came out which we said wasn’t ours.. it turned out it was ours and that the initial meal had been brought out in error, not a major issue in itself but more the stern look and response we were given when we’d already started to eat the ‘wrong’ meal. On the second arrival there was still an error on one dish vs what we ordered. The lady had left soon after taking our order so may have been the end of the shift. The food was alright but only alright on this occasion. There was also a younger lad who was quite on the ball and efficient. The pricing was good for the location which was a plus point. Toilet rooms needed a good clean!
Cheap & cheerful
Cheap & cheerful great value. 4 meals all fantastic flavour, plenty of punters coming through, busy and tasty. Friday special x 2, chicken curry and char kwue tao. Delicious!
Hard to beat in that price range
This place is absolutely fantastic, I've been going regularly for years for lunch now and have never been disappointed, this was my first evening visit in a long time though. Service is usually extremely fast (often under 5 minutes if you go for the most common stuff) and the food is always amazing and reasonably priced. I had claypot rice the last time I went and I can't recommend it enough. All the curry and daily are also fantastic.
Absolutely worth a visit!
This unassuming restaurant serves absolutely delicious food. We were not totally familiar with Malaysian cuisine but all of our menu choices were excellent. The prices were also very reasonable.
Good Malaysian food
We enjoyed the food here. Went back twice within the 3 days we were in Wellington. The portion was also quite big.
Authentic and tasty food
We heard about this restaurant from TripAdvisor and decided to have dinner here. The place was full at 6pm on a weekday. The special of the day was Assam laksa. We ordered this and it tasted authentic and had just the right amount of tamarind sourness. Also ordered the fried stuff tofu and it was truly delicious. I can recommend this restaurant with good Malaysian food.
mediocre
The Char mee and Mee Goreng were just stodgy and oily noodles. Very little else. Not a great meal. Wont be back. Need to up their game, good, 5 years ago but now, just mass produced stodge.
Bad night in the kitchen?
Six meals were served over the course of an hour. The second meal arrived 25 minutes after the first. One meal was sent back as a spicy version, not mild was served. The replacement didn't come with its protein, and this was delivered separately 10 minutes later. Generally, the food was good but service was poor. Such a shame as previous visits were v.good. perhaps the kitchen had a bad night.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
