Great lunch
We loved the atmosphere and feel of the restaurant. Nice location. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly but there seems to be a problem with their system for drinks service and delivery as they took ages. A minor issue in what was a lovely lunch and we would recommend this restaurant as one of the better on Wellington.

Fabulous food and fabulous staff made for a memorable evening. We used the private room which gave us plenty of space for our reunion dinner

I made a reservation at Shed 5 before taking a month-long trip to New Zealand from the U.S., based on travel blog recommendations. Our group really enjoyed dinner at Shed 5. The location on the wharf was great for people watching, the inside of the restaurant was beautiful, and the food was great. Definitely worth a visit for a nicer-type dinner.
Great food, poor service
The waiter was not very friendly and misunderstood us. So we got only one maincourse for two persons. The other one came 10 minutes later. He excused for that but did not offer a free drink or something like that. Nevertheless the food was excellent and thats why we would come back
Totally lives up to the hype
Wow- this place really does live up to the expectations from fantastic reviews! Service, food and drinks all excellent, in a fabulous venue. Fish and chips were just amazing- but so too was the vegetable side dish- charred broccoli with hazelnuts- who knew greens could taste so good?!

Amazing setting; amazing food
We had such a fabulous meal at Shed 5. I’d give it 6 stars if I could! It’s in a lovely spot down at the waters edge and it has a lovely vibe with its high wooden ceilings and white linen tablecloths. The service was friendly and attentive but the star of the show was the food. All the courses were amazing - I would eat here every night of the week if I could but sadly we were only in Wellington for two nights. Wine was very reasonably priced as was the whole meal. Lots of happy diners all around us - I had food envy watching their plates go by!
Everything fits
Very nice restaurant that meets high standards. The table by the window was wonderful. First of all, 2 different types of oysters. The fish of the day (Blue Nose) is offered in two versions, each with a very good taste. The wine list shines with a good selection, especially local wines. The espresso is not sour, i.e. drinkable. The young man in service was always attentive, extremely friendly and communicative. Big praise for that! Clear recommendation, the same applies to a reservation.

Fantastic lunch for 7 of us. Food was exceptional and the service was excellent. Always a great setting on the water in Wellington.
Very good food with great service.
We ‘stumbled across Shed 5 and had a very nice lunch there, so nice that we decided to book for dinner the following evening. It had a limited menu with 6 or 7 different main courses but we really enjoyed our dishes, starters through to deserts. It’s in a good location and the service was excellent at both sittings.
