Excellent for mediation business
I recently conducted a multi-party mediation at the George. The staff (Daniel and Aiden) were very accommodating, nothing was a problem. I recommend it highly for business meetings.

Excellent stay it came highly recommended and delivered , very hospitable professional friendly genuine vibe , staff were all excellent as was the free premium barista coffees , I am missing the coffee very much , will definitely return
Simply superb
I could not fault the George, Outstanding in every way. The staff are first class, the amenities are exceptional, and the ambience simply lovely. I was on my own and felt so safe there. Nga mihi nui.
Underwhelming
As the owners of a small on-call business, getting away is always a challenge, so we decided to treat ourselves with a gourmet indulgence package. The service was superb, but the meal was just a hotel meal and definitely not gourmet - my main was over seasoned. As non drinkers our options were mocktails or soft drinks, so I settled for over priced soda water. And the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. We won't be back.
Wonderful friendly quality hotel
My 5th stay in this great hotel. Love the location, food, service and comfortable rooms. Enjoyed a family meal in the restaurant and great breakfast as well as a late checkout . So helpful.
A cut above the others
Stunning location with river, park and early Christchurch homes beside elegant post-quake architecture. Art gallery, museum, botanic gardens within easy walking distance.
The George - Christchurch
The George was a very clean and spacious hotel with a very helpful staff. It was in a decent location although about a 20 minute walk from the major city amenities. We enjoyed the care the staff displayed towards us, especially Karen who dropped us off nightly chocolates each night. We also enjoyed the complimentary Teddy Bears.
The perfect place to stay
The George is very well located, east to find and plenty of parking. The facilities and staff are efficient and pleasant.
WONDERFUL
Absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. Caring staff and wonderful surroundings, its now wonder its one of the top hotels in Christchurch. We had a suite with a super king bed, beautiful bathroom with spa and double shower.
Not the best room this time
To be fair, we love the George and this was our fourth stay. But it was a little disappointing this time and it all came down to the room we got. We were put in room 503 this time, which while on a high floor definitely felt a bit like being put in the attic with the roofing structure obstructing any views. It was close to the lift too, although this being the highest floor wasn't to tricky as there wasn't too much traffic. But after having been lucky with having park view rooms in the past, this one was just a bit disappointing. But yes overall the George is still great. Nice location near the park. Walking distance to town. Plenty of parking. Good staff. Nighty turndown service with chocolate on your pillow. A teddy bear to take hone with you. Apples to help yourself to throughout the hotel. All great and all consistent. Just next time I hope we can have a park view room again - it does make a difference. We are already booked again for later this year and fingers crossed get park views!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
