Superb!
Fantastic all round. Cannot fault the food, service and ambience. The degustation was sublime- creative and wonderfully presented.
Unfortunately the ball was dropped
We traveled from canada and looked forward to this night out the whole trip, unfortunately we felt the experience really fell short of what was “promised” the starter was ok, the main was delicious and the dessert was far from desirable. We understand tastes differ and not everyone loves everything but the service was more the issue. We had a cocktail to start and were offered the wine list for dinner but unfortunately our server or anyone for that matter never returned. We ate our mains and our plates sat for quite some time… we were then asked maybe 20 mins after our mains if we would like anything to drink. We expressed that we really did want a glass of wine with dinner but no one was around to ask what we would like. A small apology was offered and no solution was offered. Our one desserts was so far from enjoyable we left the majority on the plate, again no solution. Full bill as well. (Not that we expected anything or asked for any discount) The view was unreal and the atmosphere was amazing however we wouldn’t return. We probably also wouldn’t have ever left a review but we got an email asking for one so here is the honest truth.
Million dollar view and delicious breakfast
This was a fabulous place for breakfast and photos of the view. The large kiwi breakfast was enough for two. The pancakes were also delicious. The service was very good and nice coffee. It is wonderful to have a window table but you can walk out on the deck for photos. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great food, fabulous views! A very special place. The salmon was the best I’ve ever tasted. My vegan wife loved her dinner. A gem!
A greeting counts
Last night we visited Nest and expectation’s were let down as early as we walked into the restaurant. Stood near the bar, waited to be seated and had two staff ignore us then finally one asked if we had a booking which we confirmed. He then went away and another floor staff member asked if we had a booking. Able to then walk ahead to that spectacular view. Wow! This is certainly the high of the restaurant on all levels. Main reason why I would recommend Nest. Good wine list, great gin and tonic menu, food was above average but service was a let down. After dinner we walked past the bar to leave the restaurant, again no acknowledgment or greeting. All floor staff - first impressions count and to acknowledge and greet a guest is a simple one.
Dinner with a view
While we were in Queenstown we went to The Nest restaurant for dinner and from beginning to end it was an enjoyable experience. My wife and I were given a window table and were treated to the wonderful view over Lake Wakatipu. The service was friendly and attentive and the food matched the view - wonderful. We were encouraged to use the balcony outside the restaurant and a nice touch was the way that a member of staff was quickly on hand to offer to take our photographs so that our evening was made even more memorable. We would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Our group of 4 friends was lucky enough to enough the delicious food and excellent service @ The Nest on an evening that provided spectacular views of the mountains and lake. Amazing way to enjoy Queenstown. We’ll be back.
Spectacular Views, Equal Food
This is a little drive outside of Queenstown and just above the lake. If you're in Queenstown, you simply must have dinner here. The place is somewhat unassuming from the parking lot, but once you're in, the views out of the ceiling-to-floor glass at the back overlooking the Remarkables and the Lake are breathtaking. We were a little early and had a drink in the bar; great selection of NZ wines and also cocktails. There is a very lovely sitting area that you can wait in. We were promptly moved to our table and somehow lucked into a window seating. It was tough to not just stare at the beauty and ignore the menu. Short take on the restaurant food - nothing is less than stellar. We had the 3 course set menu and shared everything. Fresh local produce, local fish, great lamb, they do it all perfectly. I am not much about photographing my food, but you sure want to. Beautiful presentations. The staff are like so many of the other people we met in NZ, smiling and happy. Our server was just great and we talked perhaps more than we should have (although she was great to ask info from). We shared a bottle of a suggested Pinot and were quite impressed. I wandered out onto the deck to take some pictures during the evening. Sunset here was a bit subdued (it was just a bit out of sight) but watching the shadows cross the mountains was unbelievable. Hope to return. What a great place.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
