Exceptional in Every Way
Came upon A purely by accident when exploring SoHo. What an awesome find! Wished it had been earlier in our NYC visit as we would have made it our favourite Go To place. Why? Great ambience Amazing food Wonderfully efficient service Exceptionally warm hospitality We had the excellent value $39 lunchtime 3-course menu. Everything was outstandingly delicious and beautifully presented. Looking forward to sampling the main menu on our next visit as everything we saw served to other diners looked great. Thanks A for such an unexpected highlight of our NYC experience.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Fantastic service, delicious food and drinks and great atmosphere. Weโll be back for sure!
Be the first to ReplyReally nice lunch
The three of us had lunch. Prosciutto (really good) with nice bread and sauce; a fantastic salad; and a melanzani pasta that looked gorgeous and tasted absolutely berry goodness. The Montepulciano was as it should be. So, we had a very good lunch.

RACIST ... I decided to try my luck and see if I can get a last-minute reservation. Before I was able to open my mouth and ask the host if they had anything available, she PROFILED me and AUTOMATICALLY assumed that I entered the establishment just to use their restroom (I was in complete shock) ... I quickly reassured her that I was looking to have dinner. The host then refused me service and insisted that I can ONLY order food to go (I wasn't even given an option to wait for a table) when there were multiple open tables within eye view. This was my second time visiting. Great food but unfortunately, I will not be returning. Sotto La Luna in Astoria is a better option same vibe less nonsense.
Be the first to ReplyBest pasta ever
We are lovers of Italian food and this is the best pasta we have ever tasted! The resturant has a nice laid back atmosphere with an open kitchen, Cocktails and wines were lovely and the service was great. Highly recommend pasta tasting menu ๐
Be the first to ReplyDelicious!
Delicious! Servers are kind, helpful and quick. The music is great, and the seating and atmosphere is beautiful, with a view as well. Food is amazing, and extremely filling. Appetizers are actually appetizer size. Overall, this restaurant is amazing.
Be the first to ReplyI would definitely recommend this place
The service was exceptional. They checked on us frequently. Watching the chefs make our food was totally different than what we are use to. You can see the attention and care of the chefs. 10/10
Be the first to ReplyBest Pasta in Soho!
This place was amazing- AGAIN! Staying at Soho Grand next door and my guy LOVES pasta, so seemed like a natural fit. For some reason the Rest app had not confirmed my reservation but the hostess was amazing and got us seats at the counter (my preferred seat anyway)- which overlooks the kitchen; it was Sat night at 830 and the place was packed with beautiful Soho types. We opted for the pasta flight which is 5 smaller courses for $140- a TON of food and every bite amazing! Rigatoni with spicy tomato, lobster tagliatelle, truffle spaghetti, fungi ravioli & fruti de mer. Sipped a delightful Gavi by the glass while the super attentive staff seamlessly and silently tended to our every need. Highly recommend

First experience where my friends and I were asked to leave the restaurant. We were eating and a grumpy and not at all friendly server said that we would have to leave, already bringing the bill, lying that there was a reservation for the table. We passed by minutes later and the table was vacant.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Work of Art
My daughter & I happened upon A Pasta Bar on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get seats at the counter for lunch. At our server's recommendation, we split an order of the Tagliatelle AllโAstice, which was basically a lobster bisque pasta. Not only was the presentation a work of art, but the dish was a masterpiece. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious with chunks of lobster on top. After wolfing down our meal, we sopped up the divine sauce with our excellent bread so as not to leave a drop of deliciousness on our plates. We were both so sorry that we had not gotten a full serving of this amazing dish that we decided to return the following night for dinner! At dinner, we both got individual orders of pasta & split the Chefโs Salad. The salad is simple in its ingredients but everything comes together so beautifully & is so fresh and so delicious. It is probably the most incredible salad I have ever had. The pasta was as delicious as the day before - we probably would have picked up our plates and licked up any remaining sauce if we had not had plenty of the wonderful bread to prevent us from making fools of ourselves! Not only is the food incredible but the staff is wonderful. The setup is so cool, especially if you are sitting at the Chef's Table. We were able to watch our dish go from simple pasta to an incredible visual experience. I cannot recommend A Pasta Bar highly enough!
Be the first to ReplyTldr: Manager was blatantly rude to his waiter and to us
Never left a restaurant review before but the behavior I just witnessed from the General Manager of this restaurant was so rude and degrading to both his own employee and my party that I felt compelled. A group of 5 ate dinner here (1 pasta and 1 drink each) and when we were ready to pay, we asked to pay per item (regretted this afterwards, but we didn't think it would be too complicated since each of us had simple orders and our waiter was accommodating). The card reader glitched mid transaction and I had to run my card twice but eventually it went through. Once all had paid, it showed that one of the pasta dishes (the one that 2 of us ordered) hadn't been paid for. The waiter called the GM over who looked and told us that one of us hadn't paid. The GM then proceeded to make us PULL UP OUR CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION HISTORY to show that the charges had gone through, and that the amount corresponded to 1 drink and 1 pasta dish. The GM then told us that it "must not have gone through if the dish is still on there, and this is why we don't split by items" and that if we didn't pay for it, it was coming OUT OF OUR WAITER'S PAYCHECK for allowing us to do that and then WALKED AWAY. At this point, I volunteered to pay for my dish again because I felt terrible for the waiter who had been doing his best and was very apologetic, but the waiter wouldn't let me. The waiter then processed the meal of the last person in our group and the system glitch resolved itself, showing that all the items had been paid for. The GM never returned to apologize and I saw him yelling at the waiter again before we left. I walked out so upset that our request had caused this poor waiter to be berated, not to mention that we had essentially been wrongly accused of trying to cheat the restaurant. Had been really excited to try this restaurant, and am sad to say I never want to go back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot all around
My wife and I absolutely love this place. Their pastas are delicious, the team is great and the energy from the open kitchen and the house music are a perfect combo. I highly recommend their raviolo, but honestly, you canโt go wrong here. YUM and FUN!
Be the first to ReplyAll around fantastic
You guys know Iโm a sucker for a great meal. We had lunch at A Pasta Bar ๐ฎ๐นThis was some of the best pasta Iโve ever had. And the customer service was excellent! They do a pasta tasting for two which gives you five small plates of thier most popular pasta dishes. Itโs also open air and it was a beautiful day for it. Highly recommend - but make reservations a few days prior ๐

I visited A pasta bar with my wife after a long walk , had an amazing pasta with clams (vongole) and good wine. Would go back
Be the first to ReplyUnsure about the format!
Yes I am not so sure about this place: the food was good and the service (as usual in NY) great howeverโฆ
I find the place a little soulless and somehow the menu is limited (although enough choices for a first visit!) I cannot find a valid reason for going back!
Stumbled upon this pasta bar, thought it was a ramen place at first.
Phenomenal experience. I had the cacio e pepe and octopus, Both were delicious. If I had any suggestions it would be to enlarge the olive oil dipping plate and to tell whose Chianti they are pouring. Would any of those stop me from coming back, no.
Be the first to ReplyWe will be back!
We had a wonderful first experience! Hostess was AMAZING! Especially since we had a little trouble finding the exact spot. The weather was rainy but we were seated promptly (and dry) and the service was very fast. The food was just outstanding. We will be back!
Be the first to ReplyOur own Valentine private cottage!
Had dinner here in NYC Valentine's weekend and absolutely loved it! The private cottages outdoor that were heated and beautifully decorated set the perfect mood. And the food. Oh. My. Goodness. it was awesome!
Be the first to ReplyAvoid by all means
Avoid by all means. This place does not know how to keep a reservation. In a COVID world, when youโre trying to make a celebration as special as possible, this place ruined my sonโs birthday dinner. They have no regard for those waiting for a table out in the cold, and have the nerve to blame us for being late to our reservation, when we arrived only 11 minutes late. We ended up going down the street to Gilliganโs where we were greeted with open arms. The host wished my son a happy birthday as soon as we entered, and we had a very pleasant dinner.
Reservations donโt work if you not Speak Italian
I have a reservation at 8:45 at that restaurant and then wait about 35 minutes. I realized that they preferred to give the table to other people, maybe because they are Italian or they speak Italian, but there is a little racism in this restaurant. in the end they told me that there was no table available for me at 9:30 at night, when there is no longer another place available for dinner
Be the first to ReplyThis place was INCREDIBLE!
This place was INCREDIBLE! We got the pasta tasting for 2 and we were able to try half portions of 5 pasta dishes. This was a great choice because all of the pastas were amazing particularly the truffle pasta, and the gnocchi. Presentation was beautiful and the pasta was cooked to aldente perfection! We were from out of town so unfortunately we wonโt be able to go back for a while, but it was one of those meals Iโll look back on and fantasize about.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a cool and trendy Italian restaurant!
What a cool and trendy Italian restaurant! Even the music they were playing added to the vibe. Because of Covid, all the tables were separated by plastic barriers and staff were all wearing masks. We started off with the pasta chips which came with burrata. I've never had or even heard of pasta chips before! There was an Italian seasoning on top of the pasta chips and dipping it in the burrata added the perfect balance of savoriness from the chips and creaminess of the burrata. The portion of the chips were small, but they also give complimentary bread and olive oil too in the beginning. If you have burrata leftover, they will also give you bread to eat with it. Be careful not to fill yourself up though because the pasta portions are a good size! I got the cacio e pepe for my entree. I loved it! The pasta was al dente and the sauce with the black pepper was delicious! They have plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. We ended it with chocolate and hazelnut gelato. The hazelnut was my favorite. You also can't go wrong with any of the cocktails! Our whole table ordered different ones throughout the night and they were all good.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience!
Great experience! The salmon tartare was phenomenal and Pasta Tasting with 5 pastas is essential! Cucumber margaritas were perfect for hot summer evening.
