A. Wong London Reviews
Unforgettable experience at A.Wong!
We came here for a celebratory dinner. We had seen this restaurant previously in one of the episodes of MasterChef: The Professionals. We were seated by the kitchen so we had a live and close up view of the various courses being cooked and assembled.
My favourite restaurant!!
Yesterday I had the privilege of eating (for the second time) at A Wong. What a place! The food is cocked to perfection, the service is incredible and despite being a 2 star restaurant, the ambience is very casual yet elegant. Canโt wait to be bac
A must for a London weekend
Fantastic food and service. The wine pairings and nonalcoholic pairings were in perfect balance to the food courses. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable.
Exceptional gastronomical journey through China!
My daughter and I had the pleasure to experience Chef Andrew Wong's creative and delicious tasting menu -- what a true privilege! Every aspect of the journey was memorable and special -- from the outstanding and professional service team to eac
A little disappointing
Wonderful food - although expensive - and really charming staff. However, not the dining experience and ambiance you'd expect from being awarded 2 Michelin stars. Slightly disappointing and I'd probably won't return.
A perfect Chinese lunch

Hurried Food
This was my 3rd visit and the previous two visits (some time ago) were legendary in my head, memories of truly exquisite food - I was excited to return. I donโt know if itโs because we were the last lunch sitting (2:15 pm on a Saturday) but desp

I don't post reviews often, except for places that I really like. We made reservations for lunch weeks in advance. Got seated at the "chef's table". (The counter overlooking the kitchen). Great spot. Got to watch s the

A. Wong was an amazing and full-service experience. The service was 10/10 and their team worked in unison throughout your dining experience. It's not your traditional Cantonese food, but an elevated and modern rework of Cantonese classics. My
Excellent food but don't let them move you downstairs
Food superb - no issues. True delight. But I did not appreciate be moved to a underground, dark, basement bar for the end of the meal. Staff claimed it was part of the experience but we weren't told up front just moved for desert - if communica
A May visit
From start to finish a very good lunch. We opted for a dim sum lunch rather than the enticing 'touch of the heart' menu (rather big meal at Oma the day before!) but we did choose quite a few of the dishes that featured on that menu. All wer
Amazing good, so-so service
The food is brilliant. Itโs delicious, itโs exciting and itโs inventive. We loved every mouthful. One of the best eating experiences Iโve had. I love being surprised by food and I definitely was all throughout the 3.5 hour experience. Se

A. Wong is an interesting version of a 2 Michelin Star restaurant. Walking in you start with very caring and kind service. Every single person you interact with has obviously been trained well and cares deeply about the food and history of the spot.
Incredible dining experience
A visit to A.Wong has been a long time coming but now after our amazing lunch on Saturday we just canโt wait to return and enjoy the full dinner experience. The restaurant is situated on Wilton Road and only a short walk from Victoria Station. Whe
Michelin Chinese, but a little disappointing
Prosโdelicious food, attentive service, knowledgeable staff Consโprecious, felt more 1 star than 2 Michelin stars. Didnโt see a reason to return.
Average at best
I was looking forward to 4 people eating here but overall I was left disappointed. It wasnโt the experience a 2 star restaurant should be. We were shuffled into a dark basement on arrival thinking this was our dining area. Whilst we ordered cocktai
A brilliant experience
Just a brilliant meal. We did the Dim Sum a la carte, and the staff guided us through our choices with wisdom. (One criticism- a confusing menu layout. It's worth checking the menu online before going.) The food was stunning; definitely 2 Michelin

The biggest problem with eating dim sum is: there could be too many delicious bites to describe. The restaurant itself is pretty big, maybe 60 seats including a dozen at the bar, and almost every seat was full during my weekday prixe-fixe lunch. Th

Superb dim sum & service
Super lunch at amazing A Wong. 4th visit and they just get better and better. Team made fuss of us: Iris organised our booking and John welcomed us as returning stars. Michael is exceptional sommelier / such a fun character. Dim Sum some of best i

Amazing
Lovely lunch. Amazingly delicious food. Lovely presentation. Very friendly service. Nice ambiance. Very deserving of its two stars !
Not accommodating of allergies and rude about it
Terrible place. Rude emails around allergies, would not recommend. We went there a couple years ago and very friendly emails, something mustโve changed as the welcome emails now are rude and not what youโd expect from two Michelin stars.
Collections of China menu
This was our second visit to A Wong. They were extremely helpful as they had to cancel our booking, but arranged to swap nights with another restaurant we were going to later in the week so that we were still able to go. We had pre-dinner drinks in
Best in the world, we thought
Instead of the more relaxed dim sum lunch, which is the best in London, we reserved the classic tasting menu for the evening, and it was almost a three hour experience. Just when you thought they had given you the best tasting bitelet youโd had in

We made a reservation here for a la carte lunch, and it was a wonderful experience, but not all of the food was a total hit. Everything is priced by the piece, so it does add up. I definitely had some favorites and some I wouldn't order again, but
Exceptional experience
What can I say, this is an exceptional dining experience which was my sons first foray into fine dining. Each course was unique, well presented and most importantly delicious. Staff were excellent and worked in unison. Ambience was perfect.
Good but equal amongst the rest, not the bestโฆ
A Wong is a good Chinese restaurant and certainly one of the best in the UK, thereโs no doubt about that, the food is presented nicely and the menu is imaginative enough, but I wasnโt blown away by the flavours by any means. I do personally thi

Delicious & interesting โTaste of Chinaโ
We had a really fantastic meal at A. Wong. As vegetarians we often find set/tasting menus can be a bit disappointing, when you see what other diners are enjoying. This was not the case at all at A. Wong. Each dish felt incredibly considered and every

Wong, and the duck yolk custard bun still lives rent free in my mind. I think about it daily and look forward to my next visit.
Over the Top Excellent Foodie Experience
Simply Satisfying, Simply Delicious BUT not simple by any measure. In fact the Collections of China tasting menu with pairing is complex, creative, and a truly excellent way to sample the best of Chinese cuisine. A. Wong and his staff excel at servic

What an incredible experience.
Tashi and Matthew gave my mother and I an incredible dim sum experience. This restaurant is worth every Michelin star.
A unique experience ! Awesome lunch !
We loved our experience at A Wong restaurant . Everything from the welcome to the end was fantastic. The food was a unique experience. We took the TOUCH OF THE HEART tasting menu and we loved it.
A+
My wife had mentioned this restaurant to me before and about her desire to dine there. She finally took me for lunch there last week. The only thing I knew about this place before coming was that it had two Michelin stars. Michelin stars aside though
Unbelievable Food & Warm Service
Whenever my Devon based sister visits me in London, she wants us to go to A Wong. It never disappoints and certainly didnโt this time. From the lovely welcome, the genuine warmth, of which carried through to the service throughout the evening, to
Fantastic dim-sum and warm service
After nearly a year of trying, we finally managed to get a table for the a la carte dim sum lunch here this week. The lead-up to our reservation was a bit off-putting: several tone-deaf e-mails all emphasising their minimum per head spend (ยฃ100 for
Vastly Overpriced 14 course taster menu in bland setting.
Been meaning to visit for a long time. Finally got around to booking months ahead for the ยฃ220pp (with service charge) taster menu. Firstly the locale is underwhelming. Really underwhelming. Like an average small local Chinese. Nothing grand, small.
Great food if you're prepared to wait an hour for it.
Really looked forward to eating here. 2 Michelin Stars! Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow and really made the experience excruciating. We waited 45 minutes for a drink and 90 minutes later had our first bite of food. When the food arrived
Smoked dim-sum winner!
The menu of a la carte dim-sums was a bit overwhelming so we left the decision making to the restaurant. We were served an amazing selection each beautifully crafted and presented and each totally different from the last. Our fussy-eater daughter (

Birthday Lunch.
Without doubt one of the best meals that we have ever had. Good to see the main man, Andrew Wong, was working in the kitchen.
Baffled!
I feel a bit bad writing this review because we had wonderful service at this restaurant by really lovely staff (although we were seated 25 minutes late). However, I am truly baffled and trying to figure out how this place was awarded two stars. The
