Upstairs in Waikiki
Good choice for a family restaurant in an expensive area. Good selection of regular Hawaiian dishes including an award winning Loco Moco. Very popular with Japanese families. It is a little tricky to find - in a cross side-street and upstairs, but a solid choice.

Really nice time at Aloha Table. Nice upper floor and pretty relaxed. Good service and fun food. Recommend checking it out.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food deserves a long wait :)
Great food with good service. Long wait in a line without a reservation. Large group adds auto gratuity. Locos were fantastic, extra onions made a difference!

Very delicious local sea food with beautiful Hawaiian decorations. Their whole pineapple pina colada is very special.

Some friends recommended this place for dinner. IT did not disappoint. I had the Fish Tacos which were amazing plus it was Happy Hour so had 2 sneaky Mai Tais which were very good. Would definitely go back!

WOW!, If you want local delicious food, this is the place to go. LOCO MOCO is the best on the island. We shared three other dishes during Happy Hour, along with Happy drink prices. Don't miss it. It is tucked away on a little street in the hear of Waikiki. A shout out to JAMES, our server. Accommodating and on top of his game. Highly recommend Aloha!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to try some traditional Hawaiian meals!
The menu is not very diverse -- but the restaurant has lots of charm and the loco moco is a must! Service was attentive, friendly, and highly professional.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome Vegan Loco Moco!
The Vegan Loco Moco was amazing! The sauce and patty were perfect together and absolutely delicious. I also loved the refreshing small sides next to the loco moco that were both beautiful and perfectly complemented the loco moco's flavor. This Vegan Loco Moco was incredible and exceeded my expectations in the best way possible. I am definitely coming back and bringing my friends and family too!

We chose this restaurant because we wanted a casual, local place after a long flight. The restaurant did not disappoint. The Kailua pork nachos were very good. Wish there was even more pork. Same for the homemade salsa. The moco loco burger was really good even though the Pattie’s were ere a bit overcooked. The gravy was the best I’ve had on loco moco. The ginger steak was tender and tasty. Tacos were also very good. Service was good and food came out quickly. This restaurant knows what it is and meets expectations exactly.
Be the first to ReplyOff the beaten path!
My daughter who was celebrating her birthday chose this restaurant to have dinner at. The food was very tasty...tacos, salad, chicken sandwich, etc. The service was ok and although it wasn't crowded I guess they were busy. The restaurant is located upstairs without an elevator. It is tucked away so you have to look closely to see the sign, we walked past it before we actually saw the sign.

Great little restaurant when you're not trying to blow the bank on dinner in Waikiki. Friendly wait staff, quick service. When my husband and I were there I saw families, groups, and people with babies. We had good food - pork nachos, Moco Loco, the best spinach salad I've ever had in a restaurant, beautifully presented. And don't miss the Pipikaula appetizer - the most perfect beef jerky! Not hard, but just the right amount of chewy. We so enjoyed the vibe and food that we returned for a second meal. Two thumbs up!

Our 1st evening in Waikiki and many places not available to reserve. We read great reviews and decided to walk the 15 min to Aloha Table, even though we were quite exhausted after a full day of traveling. Totally worth the trip & exactly what we needed on this first evening. It was very uncomplicated- relaxing & reasonably priced and on top of all that - tremendously delicious! Service was friendly, inviting and attentive. My sister had the pork nachos and I had the shrimp curry… which was spectacular. Yummy!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful meal, excellent value!
We dined at Aloha Table on a Wednesday night during our 10 day Hawaiian vacation. We’d been dining at some very expensive restaurants in Waikiki every night and wanted to find a more affordable but decent place to eat. We entered “restaurants in Waikiki “ in our google maps app. and the first place it took us to looked a bit scary- we didn’t even want to get out of the car in that neighborhood. The second place google mentioned was Aloha Table, so we drove there, only a mile or two from the first place, but what a difference! The neighborhood was much nicer, and although the exterior of Aloha Table was modest, it looked inviting so we decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! My boyfriend ordered the Loco Moco. He’d had it at another place and liked it. I’d always thought it looked interesting, but I don’t eat meat, so I’d never tried it. I mentioned that to the charming server, who flipped over the menu and showed me a Vegan Loco Moco! I ordered it and it was wonderful. The presentation was even beautiful, which is difficult with that dish. The service was great, everything was clean and tidy and the whole meal, soft drinks included, cost about half of what we’d been paying every night for good but not spectacular food elsewhere. This place is a gem!

Hands down the best Loco Moco on the island. Service was amazing and the staff was wonderful. This is a must eat for the first-timers!
Be the first to ReplyIntentionally put soy sauce in child’s soda!?!?
We ate here last night as a party of 8. We were seated right away if we were willing to split into 2 tables which we agreed. There were plenty of empty tables they could have pushed together but didn't complain. My 6 year old wanted fruit punch but the server said they didn't have it and recommended guava juice. We said we'd try it. 6yo didn't like it so I asked for a coke for him instead and I stated he didn't like it. Received the coke to which my son took one sip and only drank his water the rest of the meal. We paid and as we were leaving my husband asked why he didn't drink his coke. My son said it was yucky. My husband and I tasted it and there was very clearly soy sauce dumped in his coke. We asked for a manager. There wasn't one. So we told another waitress to which she offered to refund us for the drink. We declined. We felt this was clearly intentional because of the ask for a different drink. It had a lid and a straw so it couldn't have been an accidental spill. On top of that, food came out at different times, after half the food came out we were told they were out of buns so had to pick different menu items for the rest. Even though we were at 2 tables they still charged us as one party and included gratuity on the very large bill. Left feeling incredibly unhappy and angry at the drink tainting of a child.

Perfect introduction to Hawaii. We did the sampler plate and kids found new things to love. Loco moco was awesome! Loco moco Burger is huge and delicious. Great alcoholic and no-alcoholic drinks.

Delicious loco moco, lovely service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyCute and cozy cafe in Waikiki
This cute cozy cafe is located off a major street (Royal Hawaiian Ave), so it may be hard to find but quiet and not so busy with all people like other places in Waikiki. Has nice selection with some Japanese touch that I could see? Their loco moco was voted #1 in Waikiki, and it looked great. I had ALOHA sampler, and others ordered kalua curry, hamburger. Hamburgers were good. ALOHA sampler seemed a bit overpriced but we’re in Waikiki. The only sad part was their pop (Diet Coke and Sprite) was off with almost no syrup. You know something is wrong when Diet Coke has pale brown, and we all knew the taste wasn’t there. We informed our server but he was a little annoyed and said they were going to check it. Later he brought refill and it was still off; slightly-colored carbonated water… They really need to drink it by themselves and check the quality of drink. It’s not quite fun to pay for the drink with no taste when tourists are thirsty at the end of the day :(
Be the first to ReplyGreat moco loco
We went here specifically for the moco loco at lunch time. During lunch, a smaller portion is served which was perfect for lunch. The restaurant is upstairs and has very nice outdoor seating. Service was very good and friendly. Lunch prices were appropriate. We would like to go back and try the dinner menu!
Be the first to ReplyReal Hawaiian Food
First of all this is real Hawaiian food. Second the cocktail with in the pineapple is much cheaper than the one at the Seaside Grill at the Kahala Resort. Third they best Hawaiian style cheeseburgers. Fourth I have insight that a lot of locals dine here. Lastly, the people who work here are very nice.
Be the first to ReplyLocomoco
The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and welcoming. There’s no Ocean view but we enjoyed the outdoor seating. Each item in the menu looks unique and delicious. I ended up going with the Locomoco, which is one of their specialties. It was fantastic. The portions were big, the value was good and the service was spectacular. Thanks for the great food and experience!
Be the first to ReplyWe won’t return
We found this restaurant on Opentable when everything around our hotel had a longggg wait for a table. We soon learned why. We ordered:
Blue Hawaii ($14): Light rum, blue curaçao, lemon, pineapple
Mai Tai ($12): Light rum, dark rum, orange curaçao, pineapple
Loco Moco ($22): There’s a board advertising them as “voted” Hawaii’s #1 Loco Moco by who knows who. Picture shows 2 mouthwatering Kobe-style beef on short grain rice, mushroom and onion gravy topped with 2 sunny side up eggs. Tasty, albeit salty, and uhmm we’ve had better hamburger steaks
Taste of Aloha Pupu Sampler ($32): Ahi poke, tofu poke, 3pcs garlic shrimp, 4 pcs chicken mochiko, half a tomato and onion. See pic attached. OVERPRICED, really small amount of ‘sample’, ho-hum taste/ Pretty disappointing
We enjoyed the cocktails more than the food. Maybe we expected more, maybe we were exhausted, maybe we’ve had loco moco fatigue…
Based on this underwhelming visit, this won’t be on our list when we return to the island. (Great loco moco is at Hula Grill - click my profile for the review)

Not Very Good
We shared our meals to try the different items. Loco Moco Burger was probably the best item but it was not that great. The Mochiko Fried Chicken was 100% awful. The Loco Moco supreme was kinda okay. Would not ever go back.
Be the first to ReplySmall, away from the hustle, intimate
We stumbled on this by accident. We had our 18 year old son along and thought he'd enjoy this tropical looking place next door but that place was odd and grungy so we headed back out and saw the sign for this place. It's a block off the main "strip" of waikiki and seemed overlooked and certainly doesn't offer really any type of view although there is a nice lanai on 2 sides.
There were a few tables seated and we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, of course, but were promptly seated inside near the lanai. The menu is limited but the offerings were appealing to us. My son had the ribeye which came with fries and grilled corn on the cob. The steak was prepared properly and really tasty on a bed of onions with a gravy served along with the steak. Oddly, the corn was not good, perhaps overcooked as it was mealy in consistency. We also had a few starters - pickled mango and kalua pork with cabbage. Both were delicious.
The other food items we saw looked fabulous. If we return I'd do a full meal here for sure. It seems they are known for their loco moco.
Overall, we enjoyed this place and it was a nice respite from the craziness of the main drag. Again, for a small, quiet, intimate experience this was quite nice.
Loved the Loco Moco
We had heard that Aloha Table had the best Loco Moco. I saw that there were mixed reviews but I just had to order it and see for myself. It was delicious. Actually, I think it was the best meal I had during our trip. I'm really glad we decided to give this place a try. I would definitely go back.
