I’m just in love with this place!
My husband and I came to this beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary! The resort is absolutely stunningly situated, surrounded by the most beautiful red rock formations with no other buildings within eyesight. It is a five-star resort throughout, from the beautiful and spaceous rooms and one-of-a-kind swimming pool built around a rock, to the food and the top notch friendly service and the plentiful activities!! Also I would like to thank Tania and Connie from the spa, also our server Marcus! We can’t wait to come back!!

Beautiful location in a small canyon in southern UT surrounded by beautiful for formations. Excellently food, top wine list, great room, professional yet friendly staff. What’s not to love ❤️. Can provide great outdoor adventures. Well worth it!

Most romantic and most beautiful hotel in America. They catered to every need. At night we could see all the stars. The sunsets were incredible. Camp sakira was secluded yet luxurious. On our anniversary they had the most amazing singer. I hope to be back

Stayed in Camp Sarika and Amangiri. Came in “low season”. When I wasn’t supposed to. If you are looking for michelln star cuisine, out of this world accomodations, and world class service this is your place. I have travelled the world to basically every 5 star hotel i can imagine. This is in my top three all time. Ashley Papavero, shout out to you, thank you for taking care of us. My friends, this hotel has absolute seclusion in the middle of the desert, with all the amenities you can dream of, There is no perfect hotel, only thing you can ask for is a perfect effort to make your stay memorable. The place lives up to the hype and then some. There is so many things to do its like you need a month to do them all. If you just want to chill and find your Zen, this is also the place for you. Do not hesitate.
Be the first to ReplyOverrated. Don't be fooled by Instagram. Lacking in standards. Not worth the price / effort to get there.
This was my second time at Amangiri. First time was August 2020 during covid and while they were lacking in many minimum standards for even a 4 star hotel, I didn't think much of it due to the global situation and they were operating at 25% capacity at the time. I have stayed in the top luxury places all over and when talking about the west (St Barth, St Tropez, Europe, Aspen) this place does not meet the minimum level. I never leave reviews but since I'm not happy with me wasting my time getting to this remote location, I want to save other people the time/money. I to Amangiri returned in October 2022 as I wanted to show my mom the unique location and spend time in a quiet luxury resort. Was a mistake. Paid $8850 in American Express points for two nights and thankfully we were able to check out after one night and escape. Keep in mind my review is based on Amangiri being a $4-5000.night luxury resort. We honestly slept better at the Hilton Garden inn in St George the night before with friendlier staff. We arrived at 12pm and had to wait 5 hours for our room after letting the hotel know of our arrival time months in advance. We watched other guests check in and be led to their room. We had driven for some time and an offer to use the spa would have been nice. When reserving two months before we asked for two beds instead of one. We were surprised to see two cot/mobile beds that were much too small and could not accommodate us. We are 6'0 and 5'4 but we have never seen such small single beds. Also the TV is 20" inches max. Try to find a pi Food was not on the level of a nice restaurant in any big us or international city. Maybe because it's all inclusive there is not much effort but you can get a much better meal at any nice restaurant. We made just one request two months before arriving of no pork, which was not accommodated. We received pork on our dishes twice in our three meals there. The service was not on par with any sort of luxury resort at this level. Young and inexperienced staff. We came across one waitress who was from the local Navajo tribe. She was amazing and it's nice that there was some effort to integrate the locals. However she was the only one who had a nice attitude and was friendly. I forgot her name but we enjoyed talking to her and learning about the local culture. I had called to inquire as to some local activates hiking etc. I was surprised to see they were already confirmed without my consent. When I was informed of this shortly after check in I asked for them to be cancelled. I was told there is a 24-hour cancellation policy and that they could not be cancelled. Since I did not confirm any activities I insisted and was met with resistance. eventually the hotel agreed and cancelled them. On the on excursion I did confirm (horseback ride) the hotel added 15% on to total of the $750 for a 1 hour experience. It should have been 3 hours and the 15% should have been stated to me. However I paid this as I was checking out and was just happy to be able to leave a day early considering the lack of standards. The best part was they allowed us to check out a day early. It is now Dec 26 over two months later and the hotel FINALLY refunded me the second night after 10+ calls to Amex and hours on the phone. They did not refund the full amount they were supposed to. Only partial. Amex had to cover the rest. A shame and please save your hard earned money. For this price you can do better.
Be the first to ReplyThe high-end way to appreciate the American West's sandstone
Everything about this resort is perfect. The architecture of the buildings is very interesting, especially the use of shadows. The suites were well-appointed, and each had a stunning view of the desert and nature's sandstone art. The food is also excellent -- maybe Michelin one-star -- and the staff is unfailingly competent and nice. We arrived by car, in contrast to the mostly L.A. clientele that apparently flew private jets into the nearby Page airstrip. Despite our mode of travel, we were treated every bit as well as the jet-setters. How much does all this cost? If you have to ask, it's too expensive for you.
Be the first to ReplyYOU MUST COME TO THIS PLACE AT ONCE A YEAR!
What can I tell you about Amangiri? It’s a magical place, where you can feel yourself relax from the minute you arrive, until you leave. The architecture is beautiful and unique, blending in with its surroundings. The service is impeccable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. -The food is delicious, with many vegetarian options. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and you will be treated like royalty. -It’s a place where you will want to spend at least a week, so that you can enjoy all that Amangiri has to offer. The rooms are beautiful, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. -There’s a view of the red cliffs from every room, which is simply breath-taking. The resort is located in a remote area of Utah, so you will need to drive for at least an hour to get there. There are no shops or restaurants nearby, so if you want something other than Amangiri’s food then you have to drive even further into town. This is an exclusive luxury experience, so be prepared to have your mind blown away. There are only a few rooms at the resort, and each one is unique. The architecture of Amangiri is truly stunning, and the heated pool is just what you need after hiking the nearby Antelope Canyon reserve. The Spa at Amangiri is reasonably priced for the quality of service you receive and is just so peaceful, beautifully decorated, calming, and the masseuses will solve all of your aches from hiking around in the desert. This is an outdoor adventure kind of place, as there are many hiking trails nearby that lead to beautiful waterfalls and canyons. There is no cellphone service coverage but there is WiFi (for those more addicted to the net) at the resort. But you should truly try to unplug from modern life for a few days. This is a MUST EXPERIENCE for avid travelers and travelers looking for a luxurious getaway. I highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a truly unique experience.

We spent thanksgiving in Amangiri and celebrated our anniversary. Impressive is an understatement here, it’s the first experience in our life, where we found every request, every detail, every dream to be perfectly met. From extraordinary service to unforgettable horseback riding/three canyon tour, the experience is totally worthwhile.
Be the first to ReplyPoor Communications, A Tale of 2 Hotels Under 1, Camp Sarika: Amazing, Amangiri: Disappointing
In short: If you have experienced Asia Amans, you'll be disappointed unless you book and stay at Camp Sarika which is gold standard Aman. If you have never stayed at an Aman or have never left the U.S., you'll be blown away. If you want more details read on, otherwise you can skip. Positives: First, want to shout out to many staff at Camp Sarika who made our stay wonderful and righted many wrongs we experienced at the Amangiri side of the property. Sean, Tina, Keyshia, Brody or Brady, and everyone else at Sarika. Shout out to waitstaff Nicco and Taro at Amangiri too who are exceptional and were the only ones who embodied an Aman level of service. Amangiri front desk host Jennifer was great as well. Bell man and driver, John is also a gem, actually all drivers and bell hops here were brilliant. And to the Sarika Chef for creating a delicious menu eveyday. Connie at the Spa/ fitness center is a gem, and Amangiri is lucky to have had her for 13 years and counting. Camp Sarika and specific Amangiri staff are why I am still giving 4 instead of 3 stars. Second, the architecture and rooms are stunning. Camp Sarika especially was beautiful, private, secluded, and in fact IMO has a better pool than the insta-famous one of Amangiri. Truly achieves a private, secluded, relaxing getaway. Thirdly, every staff was well intentioned and had fantastic attitude to every request and ask and did try, but some ultimately were unpolished and not proactive nor did they anticipate needs Finally, amazing third party tour operators Amangiri works with. Brilliant and passionate guides and well curated excursions. Do not miss a Via Ferrata hike, canyon horseback riding and a 3 slot canyon tour, and definitely book a hoop dancing experience! Also great onsite activities as well, as long as the activities team is coordinated enough to make them actually happen or let you know they arent happening anymore, which it seems is not often. Areas of improvement: Unlike other Amans where the GM or assistant GM makes at least one appearance with each guest, we never once saw the GM or Assistant GM, we got 0 interaction. Perhaps a new standard of the more corporate Aman brand now? Communications: What a joke. We were never advised that our credit card was charged for the remaining balance 2 weeks prior to arrival even after I emailed to inquire and confirm payment was due, it was not until I requested to use wire transfer as payment method that I was informed our credit card would be refunded the balance amount and this did not process until our arrival day. I was asked at least 3 times of my arrival and departure plans prior to arrival, twice by the reservations team but different folks. Why is this not noted in my profile? Why does the experience team who arranged our transfers not talk to the front desk/ reservations team? Why was it that after arrival I was still asked, even up to ordering our departure lunch I was still asked about my departure time. Thankfully our transportation did actually show up to take us to the resort. The worst was the activities team. Lots of miscommunication and lack of coordination with onsite activities and lots of excuses used to explain, for example "time change," used to explain why one activity host showed up earlier than printed schedule time, but time change happened 3 weeks prior to our arrival, that is not an excuse anymore. Further, an activity host was booked last minute to a private event which caused a whole confusion between us, Amangiri staff and the guide himself who felt bad for making false promises to a 5 year old who was so excited to see live animals, then to have Amangiri staff tell us "he was never scheduled to be on tonight" when in fact we had printed paper and photographic evidence that he was on the schedule, we later found out they never informed Camp Sarika about the change so Camp Sarika was unable to inform us/ update us, like I said, 2 hotels not 1. Further, said guide went to Sarika looking for us while we were at Amangiri, as an Aman is it so hard to somehow coordinate between teams to reach us and let us know of the changed plans and that the guide was at Sarika wanting to apologize and say hello? We were literally hanging out at the Amangiri pool! Finally, I noted that out Chinle site dinner (which was phenomenal by the way) was a birthday celebration, yet our birthday cake was given to us on our second night rather than our final one at Chinle site, very confusing. I do not like how the folio is presented with tax/service included and not broken down by line item, I do appreciate Camp Sarika for at least breaking down beverages by category rather than lumping it all under "beverage" like Amangiri, again 2 hotels not 1. Finally, we left the resort without ever receiving the standard Aman luggage tag departure gifts. Spa: beautiful, but poorly maintained. The concept of a co-ed locker is great but it lacked so many standard amenities for either gender found at most spas around the world. Haridryers were broken with pieces inside churning while you turned it on. Doors broken. HVAC not working properly. Luck of the draw if your therapist warms your massage oil or uses ice cold massage oil. Service: As mentioned, great attitude and intention by all. Almost went through the entire stay without being asked for room number of family name, an Aman gold standard, but alas this is the U.S., and we were mistaken for another Asian family staying at the resort at one point even after I informed the waitress of our name when she took our order. Most Amangiri restaurant waitstaff were not proactive nor did they anticipate needs and were surprisingly hard to flag down. As mentioned its like folks dont talk to each other or do proper handoffs. Only one waitstaff at Amangiri remembered that some people in our party liked to drink hot water with honey and lemon and made sure we had that coming constantly. At an Aman one expects to not have to ask more than once for certain things and for teams to eventually understand the needs and preferences of guests staying here. Camp Sarika a gem, with all around what an Aman should be, Amangiri disappointing and not sure what is happening with communications. i was told its all meant to be one hotel, but it feels like 2 completely different hotels. I just hope they at least improve on the communications piece and do better in taking responsibility (the activities team) for mistakes instead of blaming things or guests (implicitly when they said someone was never scheduled). The service bits I think will come with time for some of the staff here and kudos for the great attitudes everyone had.

This review has been long overdue, as we never leave a review, but we feel Amangiri deserves a real spotlight. this hotel is amazing and exceeded our expectations in many ways. First, the room and landscape are breathtaking and peaceful. This is our first time with Aman in North America and it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. We are big fans of Aman in Asia and we love the ones in Bali. As we love food and frequently visit top rates Michelin stars places in Asia and Europe. We both agree that Amangiri well deserved recognition for its restaurant. The Executive Chef is such a talented chef we had a chance to have conversations with him in front of the woodfire oven and his passion is reflected in the food. If this restaurant was in San Francisco or New York City it would be a Michelin star hands down. His menu was well thought out and feature the wood fire oven that produced incredible flavors. We were lucky enough to have the special wood fire octopus, one of the best octopus we have ever had. We try every menu item during our visit and we love every single one. The spa is also amazing, we love the couple massage treatment and yoga class in the morning at camp sarika. The restaurant service could use a fine tune or better training. The servers are all very nice and personable but lack refinement in service overall which is much needed in such a high-caliber hotel. We are looking forward to visiting Aman New York in a couple of months.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Location with Unexpected Service Challenges
The Aman is a beautiful property located in the most magical area! We enjoyed hiking, climbing, helicopters tour, hot-air balloon, biking, horseback riding, dream catcher making (go Pearl!), massage, yoga, thai boxing, and an UTV adventure! Unfortunately, the service at this property is not seamless. A few examples: - Camp Sarika restaurant was not good. Had to escalate concerns for three meals before giving up and having to go all the way to the main restaurant. Bring your chef with you if you are staying at Camp Sarika. - Transportation was a challenge. For example, they forgot to pick us up from Horseback riding, and we had to wait 30 minutes in the hot sun for them to arrive. - Special Requests were impossible. We needed something from Walmart in town, and it took them 7 hours to collect it, even though it was promised to be there in just over an hour. Requested some assistance from a manager, and never heard from one. Also -- either the golf cart suspension needs to be upgraded (UTV'S?!) or speed bumps need to be spread apart 6 more inches so carts can go between. Even though things are not seamless, you can rest assured knowing the staff is friendly and kind.
Be the first to ReplyMagical experience, serene and stunningly beautiful resort
Amangiri has been on our bucket list for many years, and now we finally had the possibility to stay here for five nights, and it managed to exceed all of our high expectations! It was just such a truly magical experience! The resort is absolutely stunningly situated, surrounded by the most beautiful red rock formations with no other buildings within eyesight. It is a five-star resort throughout, from the beautiful and spaceous rooms and one-of-a-kind swimming pool built around a rock, to the food and the top notch friendly service and the plentiful activities. We did a lot of hiking and trail running on our own, following the spectacular trails created by Amangiri, as well as a guided mountainbike tour and a private canyon boat excursion. The guides were both highly skilled and professional and the tours were amazing. The resort is within the higher price range, but so worth it. It’s an absolutely exceptional place and we would definitely love to come back as soon as we can again!

Loved the views, car loner being able to cruise on our own to sight see. Also, my husband is vegan, and they customized the menu for him. We did a guided hike as well over a bridge and mountain climb. This place is worth every penny and more!

Simply Perfect in every aspect! A nature’s and design’s lovers nirvana! The private cascade canyon boat excursion arranged by the hotel was otherworldly! Solitude and grandeur inside secret coves and canyons guided by an expert guide. Can’t wait to return! (Minor issue would be the proliferation of flies in the restaurant indoors and out, they mentioned an ecological concern to combat then with traditional methods)
Be the first to ReplyBoring and Overpriced
be careful: resort is near Lake Powell and some Slot Canyons, but not close to other national parks. Service was average at best. Resort works for couples who don’t want to do anything but spend time alone or for people who like to brag how they spent $4,000 per night at a resort. For those people who are not like that, and for those who like active vacations and/or want to see national parks, this is not a good place for you. Frankly, I was very bored and would not return.
Be the first to ReplyAman perfection
If your looking to have the most one of a kind romantic / special experience. There is not place like this resort. Everything was perfect in every way from the scenery to the service. Truly amazing to say the least. 10-10. Make sure you experience the spa.
Be the first to ReplyThe Right Balance of Sophistication and Rustic
From the moment you arrive on property, all of your cares disappear. The staff meets you at your car and states they will take care of everything! And they do! The service is attentive without being overbearing. The entire property is all about the surroundings, blending in and taking advantage of the landscape. The rooms are spacious and serene, affording you ultimate relaxation.
Be the first to ReplyGood but could be great.
My wife and another couple visited the resort in April of this year. Our friends had stayed at another Aman resort and set our expectations very high for the experience. The resort is situated in an absolutely stunning setting surrounded by rock formations worthy of Monument Valley. The resort is cleverly designed to blend into its surroundings and the concept is minimalist but somehow also elegant. The staff is friendly without being obsequious. Of the available activities on the property are largely outdoor oriented, and are well run. The spa. Is pleasant and adequate as is the fitness center.. There are only two things that detracted from an otherwise excellent experience. The food and beverage department needs a lot of work. Breakfasts and lunches are the same every day, with no rotation or specials on the menu. So, during a three days stay, we had the same choices every day. The dinner menu did rotate, but the dinners were just not equal to the quality of the resort. The seasonings of all the dishes were very similar, so whether you had fish, chicken or steak, it all tasted about the same. The ingredient quality itself was only average. The other negative related to the pricing of the alcohol, which was obscene. Wines were offered at 10 to 15 times retail. And, to make things worse, the wine list was anything but extensive. One expect to pay 2 to 4 times retail at a resort of this quality, but Arman has taken it so far over the top that you feel absolutely gouged by the alcohol prices. All in all, it was worth doing once, but I don’t think we would rush back.

This is our favorite Aman hotel after being mostly traveling Aman in Asia. We have been here since when the first hotel opened years back. We did not have great experience last time we were here but, We are glad to see improvement in many areas. The welcome tea is a nice touch and the service has been much improved overall. Most noticeable is the addition of Camp Sarika. The food has been amazing overall. The menu offering and quality are outstanding. We love our dinner at the main resort. The executive chef is great and talented with his craft. We have been eating in many best restaurants in the world and Amangiri is among one of the best meals we experience. This was a pleasant improvement over our past stay. The Spa was great, and we did enjoy our couple massage as well as a morning yoga class. We love all the outdoor activities during our stay and the guides were knowledgeable. Minor feedback on service at Camp Sarika dinner one night. Service is extremely slow. We had to wait for our table for close to 30 minutes, despite the reservation. No server come to ask for our drink order for 15 minutes and my husband have to get his attention. The food was great, and we love the chef’s creation of the dinner. However, after such impeccable services at the main resort. We felt that service at Camp Sarika should have been better. We love the Amangiri and looking forward to coming back. Thank you to all the staff to make our stay so great. The Aman Kyoto in Japan and Amangiri are our top Aman properties.
