Establishment that lived up to our expectations. Extraordinary dinner. The new chef delighted us. All the staff are attentive and extremely kind. Great experience

Another excellent stay at this magnificent establishment. We have stayed many times dating back to when Gerrard and Elyane Boyer were setting up. It has maintained its reputation over the years and there are still improvements being carried out particularly on the terraces. It is a wonderful site near the centre of Reims but very quiet and secluded. The welcome is warm, smiling and friendly and the staff are always on hand to help but never overbearing or obsequious. The rooms are perfect and the dining room is elegant and relaxing. The new chef has made a seamless take-over from M Mille-no easy task to follow such a figure of French gastronomy. All in all not cheap but the rapport qualite/prix is very good. Highly recommended .

for an engagement, there were 12 of us and we spent 2 excellent days enjoying the Hotel, its 2 restaurants, and its environment Pommery and Reims cellar
Be the first to ReplyThis is *THE* place to stay in Reims!
This an exemplary hotel of the highest standards! We truly loved our stay at this hotel. Exceptional grounds and suites that will satisfy even the most discerning tastes. On top of that - the service is truly outstanding. We can’t say enough great things - from the porters, to the bartenders, to the front desk staff and housekeeping. All were so welcoming and incredible. From the time of our booking to our arrival they went over the top. Arranging our airport transfers as well as a full day private tour through the champagne region. It was truly a magical stay. We can’t wait to visit again!

A sumptuous castle, worthy of its stars. The warm and attentive welcome, perfection and excellence from the first seconds of our arrival to the last minutes before our departure! The cuisine of the new chef Moret is generous, inventive and very French, just as we like it. Unforgettable !

We love this place and return again and again. Not cheap but worth it. Be aware there is building work going on in grounds. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfast first class. Not ideal for children

We had the most wonderful stay at Domaine Les Crayeres! The staff was so attentive and welcoming, and the property was absolutely stunning! We really enjoyed our dinner at Le Jardin as well (the Michelin restaurant was closed during our stay). We'll be back!
Be the first to ReplyGreat stay but too short
We are like in a cocoon. The room was very spacious with all amenities; The staff takes great care. Everything is clean and spotless. We will come back but this time we will take a room in the castle and on sunny days.

Our stay at Domaine Les Crayères was Pure Perfection. The team delivered a luxury experience in a personalised and friendly manner. Every detail from the interior décor to the gardens, is carefully curated and is a feast for the eyes, the heart and the soul. The staff float through the corridors and magically appear to attend to your every need, and that’s all before you even get to the restaurant Le Parc and Brasserie Le Jardin, where under the guidance of Philippe Mille the tastes and texture of every mouthful kicks you into the stratosphere.
Be the first to ReplyA Lovely Return Visit To Old Friends
We had been coming to this establishment for many years though admittedly it had also been many years since our last visit. A few things have changed. We were saddened to see that their “boutique “ no longer stocks golf shirts - we were looking to have my husband add to his collection. They seem to have been replaced by “ponchos”. Does anyone purchase these? Perhaps a rethink is due. The lovely receptionist showed us our room upon arrival, it was one we had stayed in previously. She mentioned we were upgraded, but the room we had secured was exactly the one booked. A welcome glass of champagne is appreciated upon check in, as are the bottle of water and sweets placed in the room. We enjoyed our meal at the Brassiere, Le Jardin. The staff was attentive without being intrusive and the meal was very good. One slight quibble- the foie Gras that I was assured would be available through correspondence with the staff was no where to be found, however the Parma ham was a satisfactory alternative. Turn down in the hotel in the evening was lovely as well as breakfast the next morning. Housekeeping does a wonderful job at keeping the room immaculate. The staff was accommodating with an extra hour check out request. The bed was wonderfully comfortable though we heard early morning noise (perhaps from breakfast preparation?) that disturbed our sleep a bit. The only thing that really saddened us was the seemingly disregard of the Boyer family who owned this property for many years and really placed it on the map. The staff was so young that they did not seem to know the past history, it made us feel very old, lol. We had a wonderful stay though and would definitely stay again and plan to.
Be the first to ReplyGreat hotel and grounds
Great hotel and grounds and service in the hotel was excellent. The experience was let down only by the brasserie restaurant, Le Jardin which did not live up to expectations in terms of service and food.

Be the first to ReplyOne of the best hotels in France
We stopped here on the way back to the UK from Lake Como to extend our holiday. We are very found of good service, food and wine; Domaine Les Crayères certainly lived up to (and exceeded) expectations. The room, service, food, and wine are all excellent. We will most certainly return upon our next visit. What a terrific team of people you have, a credit to Domaine Les Crayères. Thank you.

A very well appointed and quaint property. Lovely ladies will welcome you to this special place that includes period rooms, fantastic restaurants and a charming bar that looks out over the grounds. Super stay
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful but may not be worth price
Don't regret spending one night for the experience but at E.1000/night (that doesn't even include breakfast!!), beautiful though this place is, I didn't really see the point. There is a park that's nice for a short walk, but no other facilities. You get a very beautifully decorated room in a beautiful building and easy access to a Michelin 2* restaurant, and that's it. No pool, no spa, no gym. If you want coffee in the morning I guess you have to order and pay for room service as there is no where to get it/make it. Valet parking and a glass of champagne on arrival WERE included and that's a very nice touch but the price was just too high. Also it's a long walk (30 min+) to the centre of Reims through a very bland suburban area.

Amazingly beautiful place, rated 5 stars by most and deservedly so. The people were outstanding, helpful, friendly and professional. You may wonder why I only gave them 4 stars. I have one major complaint, they turned off the air conditioning for the hotel because it was September. It was cool outside, but like I told them, I was not sleeping outside and my room was hot. If I opened the window, fly's came into the room. I tried to get a fan but they were all being used by others rooms. Maybe that should have told them something. Don't be cheap, keep the air conditioning running for those who need it. Next time I am in the area, I will chose another location.

This property falls into my Top 5 in the world for service and presentation. The rooms are stunning and over the top, surrounding you in luxury in your own Chateau. Grounds are not large but beautifully manicured and tended. The GM Mr. Arnaud is a pleasure. A return trip is eminent.
Be the first to ReplyA Late Evening Digestif Only - Impressive!
After eating in the rather excellent Brasserie Le Jardin in the grounds of this imposing hotel, we ventured in to the main building to enjoy a digestif. To say it is a beautiful place does not do it justice, it is actually amazing and whilst we didn't stay there, we very much hope to one day. Everything just exudes class and the attentive service we received in the lovely bar was first class. Very professional barmen and a very acceptable hand poted glass oc Chivas 18 year old went down a treat. A Bientot

What an absolute masterpiece of a hotel. From the reception, room service, amenities, staff, and gorgeous grounds, I honestly can’t think of a criticism for our stay. We stayed in a superior room in the cottages by the château. We were welcomed by very friendly valets who took our bags and recently bought champagne bottles (which were stored in a chilled area during our stay). Every staff member greeted us cordially as we went and enjoyed a welcome glass of champagne. Every need was taken care of and they truly make you feel like royalty. It’s not the cheapest hotel and could definitely be considered very expensive in relation to others, but worth every penny. Will return for a longer stay. 100% recommended.
Be the first to ReplyGreat stay and hospitality!
We found the place, location, staff and the dining experience made this an amazing and memorable stay. Particularly enjoyed the hospitality of the general manager - Arnaud Valary who checked in on us from our check in all the way to the check out to make sure it was wonderful. He was kind, generous and even volunteered to call a restaurant in Paris to help us. We stayed in one of the premier rooms that had a balcony overlooking the garden and it was French classic in its decor, clean and comfortable. Stay here for your visit to Reims.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic!!
Another visit to this establishment and again it was absolutely top-class. From the moment of arriving to the departure our stay was without fault. A very warm welcome from a smiling team who obviously take a huge pride in their work. The room was large, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Also it had a great view of the park with the Cathedral in the distance. We ate for three nights in the gastronomic restaurant - what an indulgence but we could not resist!. The service was outstanding- highly professional but discreet without grand cloche waving. The food itself was of the highest quality. Starters like the Tribute to Notre Dame de Reims and the asparagus cooked with vine shoots and champagne were memorable. The main courses were equally good, particularly the lobster and the John-Dory. The advice from the sommelier was most helpful with each course. The only thing which is surprising about this restaurant is the fact that it remains stubbornly at 2* Michelin. We have eaten at many three star establishments in France and none better this one and many are much worse. Get with it Michelin! Many thanks to all the team. We cannot wait to return to where we feel "chez nous".
Be the first to ReplyA castle falling short of a caring Leadership
The property is a stunning castle, former private home of the respected Polignac family and has been properly updated and decorated. Although this 5 stars property should have it, pool and a Spa are missing. The well kept park is apparently open to the public (we met several “visitors” ) and has gorgeous trees and ample benches to have a quiet moment and enjoy nature. There seems to be an endless staff for such a small hotel and the G.M. was in attendance, having met our party at arrival, albeit ostensibly dismissive at several occasions afterwards: I have met dozens of GMs of much more important hotels around the world (from Oberoi, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, Waldorf or Dorchester) just having stayed at Le Meurice in Paris the 2 nights before…and there were all simple, humble and accessible individuals: never have had I to deal with such pompous attitude (I am French born, I know attitude:): instead of being helpful or personable, he would come hover around our party with a smirk while making sure he was perceived to be too important to be asked questions or offer specific help: even fellow guest , movie star Catherine Deneuve who was staying there that night, was less dismissive of other people !This provincial GM probably confuses his leadership role (being humble, warm and available while carefully supervising service excellence by his staff ) with posing as the distant “Chatelain” with an obvious disdain for American customers: true leadership and class are all about making ANY guest feel the most important, not yourself , esp. when you do work in Hospitality and are supposed to lead by example…That’s probably also why he doesn't seem to personally address most customer reviews on this Tripadvisor site and lets “customer relations” reply… Thankfully, some senior staff –esp. Amelie- are mostly dedicated and professional, except maybe for the bar where an endless swarm of junior waiters seem to be running around too busy to care about your drinks (although we were only two parties/ tables having drinks at that time ). We dined at the brasserie du Jardin that is managed by a very friendly, professional and efficient Maitre D’ Lucas : dinner under the trees was simple and elegant, staff was very attentive, carefully managed. By mistake, we had been advised via email months earlier that the formal Le Parc would be closed for a special event , without any later update: yet that night, Le Parc was open as usual but since we already had made plans for la Brasserie and had upcoming dinner plans at several 3 star restaurants later on our trip - Ousteau, Troigros and Ducasse at Hotel de Paris) we didn’t bother switching and missed the experience… All in all, this delightful but overpriced property, supposedly a 5 star, definitely deserves a better spirit of hospitality and attentive leadership: hopefully, the Gardinier Group owners can realize and address the situation before this asset becomes known as an obnoxious and irrelevant old Lady of Hospitality...
Be the first to ReplySublime. Tres Magnifique.
Having booked this a while ago I was excited to stay and rarely does that live up to expectation. It exceeded it. The staff could not have been more lovely upon arrival. They made it feel like a home for the time we were there and could not have been more friendly. The room itself was superb. A view of the garden and into Reims itself. Stunning. The terrace drinks were supremely relaxed with excellent service and drinks. The food, both for dinner and breakfast (in the room) were also of the highest quality. It was my favourite meal of a weekend littered with Michelin stars. I will go back to Reims and I will go back here as my port of call. It is a treat, but at the same time value is determined by price and quality and for me the latter comes in abundance. Lovely setting, well worth every visit. I expect it will be an annual one for me!

We stayed for 2 nights at Les Crayeres, as part of a family trip. Our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived. As we arrived at the hotel, there were two bell boys waiting, who quickly organised the luggage and whisked away our car. Check in was incredibly friendly, with the offer of a welcome drink. We went for a fantastic lunch at Le Jardin; a lovely relaxed restaurant, where the hotel manager walked across to give us a personal welcome. Following lunch, we checked into our rooms. Our party had premium, superior and deluxe rooms and all were an excellent quality. Very classical style, with great amenities in the room. The grounds of the hotel were also beautiful. Breakfast was served in the main dining room, which was fantastic. The most incredible continental breakfast we have had. We also dined at the Le Parc restaurant which was a fantastic dining experience, and really added to our stay The hotel also has a lovely terrace to enjoy a few drinks in the early evening sun. In summary, the hotel offers incredible staff, in a beautiful setting with amazing restaurants within the grounds A highly recommended stay!
