Great service and atmosphere.
Took a few pals here and had a good time. Gets crowded once evening hits.

The cocktail menu may be one of the most creative I've experienced. I love SOBE but may be coming here more often just to see what new creativity has hit their menu. Thank you Nial for the experience

Fantastic food, such an exploration of flavors & and outstanding dining experience. Our service was fantastic. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Our favorite was the pastrami style short ribs which melted in your mouth and paired with the fennel salad to make the perfect bite.

Nicest chicken I had , the private room is spacious and special, overall good experience
Be the first to ReplyPick up my mom here and had a dinner before we went home.
Wanted to try the frita benedict and it was awesome. Mom and I shared the amuse, pressed duck, bread rolls, and sea urchin butter. The food was good, but the portions are a bit small.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was just okay.
I found the dishes to be over salted. The farmer appetizer was interesting but the beets were soaked in vinegar and unless you had a bite of the beet at the same time as something else on the plate, it was almost unpalatable. It was like a deconstructed concept of a beet honeycomb salad. They did send an amuse Bouche along with a surprise dessert bite at the end that was a nice tough. The service was great. Very knowledgeable and explained the dishes very well and was attentive. I think the flavors of the foods were just OK.

I went to this restaurant on Valentine's Day with my husband and deeply regretted it. Despite high expectations from positive Yelp comments, our night turned into a disappointing disaster. The tightly packed table setup, uncomfortable proximity of the chef cooking, and average meals didn't live up to the anticipated experience. I get that they cook the duck meal right by your table but the chef prepared it literally 6" away from me where I felt so uncomfortable and couldn't enjoy my dinner. Mind you that he wasn't even cooking for us but another table at the moment and having that fire and hot pans right in my face made me feel overly nervous! Meals were okay nothing special for the price. Service wasn't great either. No one came and asked if we needed anything after they took the orders. It was a hustle to order a second drink. I'm definitely not planning to go back any time soon.

When Michelin decided to recognize this restaurant I knew it was time to finally check it out. I ironically came here after a trip to NYC where I had gone to a three star Michelin restaurant and I wanted to see how Ariete compared. Honestly nothing they should be jealous of. As a matter of fact I felt more at ease and taken care of here. Perhaps because it's home and there's no place like Miami. I had reservations and I got seated in what I think is the middle of the restaurant. Not outside not inside but I was able to people watch everyone. We got a lot of food in our usual fashion. Oysters to start. They were excellent. I want to say we got the venison and the duck. The food was fantastic. I can see why Michelin recognized them. Service was also amazing. I will post all my photos so you guys can see why it was amazing rather than m talking about it.
Be the first to ReplyI never write reviews anymore, but I couldn't resist
I never write reviews anymore, but I couldn't resist writing one for Ariete. Was my dining experience perfect? No, a small thing was one of the dishes in my Amuse Bouche definitely incorrectly explained. Outside of that though service was flawless; shout out to Holly for being the best. If you like hustle and bustle sit inside; as a solo dinner I like watching the kitchen at work so that was fun for me. If you're looking to have conversation I highly recommend their patio. It's loud and busy inside, which I love. It's not for everyone though. As for food the Modern tasting is stunning. Of course I didn't love every dish, but boy was it beautiful and tasty. The menu is flavor packed! I was throughly impressed at how things were season and spiced. The things I like the least were cocktails. That's okay though; they just leaned way too sweet for me. Overall, the tastings are worth the $$$ as someone who has done quite a few of these tasting menus.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for dinner and had a nice experience.
The food was good, and the venison was cooked perfectly. It's pricey, but that is to be expected of a michelin star restaurant. The crudo was the best dish of the night. Overall, it was a good meal, but none of the dishes were incredible and we left expecting just a little bit more. The service was good and it's tucked away in coconut grove which is always an enjoyable place to be.
Be the first to Replymy man and i felt zesty and decided to come to celebrate
my man and i felt zesty and decided to come to celebrate our anniversary here. the place was pretty yes, the lights on the trees at night are very beautiful to look at and the greenery blocks enough of the road to prevent it being a distraction. however, they said that reservations were spread thin, although the place was near empty. this was already not a good look. we show up for our reservation and all is well. the servers are very respectful and nice, almost cookie-cutter from one another. they were definitely quick to clean tables of debris and provide utensils, which was very nice. the menu has slim pickings in my opinion, and we weren't too amused by the selection. anyway, we ordered the short ribs and the venison. we cut right to the chase and skipped around the distracting appetizers to get to the nitty gritty. they gave us the little treats beforehand and the bread which were both very good. the bread was my favorite since it was warm and very soft with its accompanying spread. however, the food arrived. and i have to say that im picky with my meats. i understand this is a 'fancier' place, but to refuse to cook meat past what i consider to not even be 'medium', is bewildering. ive gone to nicer places and places as nice which still cook their meat more because, let's face it, they know how to. they're able to cook it more AND STILL keep the integrity of the meat as well as its juices and flavors. i was unamused by the venison and did not eat it. my man and his short rib- also unamused. there was nothing special to the dish. no amount of explanatory verbiage could distract from the fact that it was a plain dish with a random fusion croquette on the side the size of a cotton ball. to make a long story short: seems a bit short options wise, and the options we ate were plain. no flavor, no seasoning, no love to it. just plain. we got a box for the remaining food and we went somewhere else to eat after. we will not be returning but are thankful for this experience.

Excellent experience! Our friends brought us to celebrate our birthday. The service was exceptional, the mood was intimate and the food was amazing. We had the tasting menu that was mainly seafood. Every course was filled with flavors. A lot of thought went into the presentation and quality.

I have dined here various times; my last visit a day ago was excellent! The menu is limited, which is a sign of great eating. As the saying goes, you can't be everything to everybody, and Ariet does a fantastic job sticking to that mentality. We were two couples, and led straight in ponce we arrived. I started with the grilled oysters, which were two oysters with different sauces and grilled medium rare. That was fantastic. They served us a small sample of beet tartar, which was very nice. We ordered the chicken, the Fluke, and the venison as entrees. It was all perfect. The chicken with the peppers stuffed with rice was exceptional! We chose a dessert from one of the three deserts available; we had chocolate. It's hard to describe it here, but wow! Finally, they brought us some small finger-sized Key Lime bites, which were literally out of this world. The atmosphere is charming and low key, but very well served, with the staff being very attentive. If you expect large portions, this is not the place to go. This is about taste, and it's a feast for your mouth; I highly recommend this restaurant.

I dined at Ariete with a group of 5 and would have usually opted for tasting menu but the canard a la presse caught our eyes when looking at the dining options. We had the grilled oysters, crudo, the farmer, king crab, foie gras, pork chop, and the canard a la presse. In addition we got the flan and cigar for dessert. The standouts for me were the crudo, foie gras, and the duck. The crudo had this refreshing pickled papaya and lychee leche de tigre, the flavor combination was great and fresh. The foie gras was paired with a caramel and cocoa nibs and was delectable. The true star for me was the duck. The duck press is this medieval contraption that they bring table side along with other items to make a sauce for the duck. The duck press is used to press the liver and the juices are mixed with herbs and jam to make this decadent sauce that goes with perfectly cooked pieces of duck. The duck comes with some side dishes that pair well, my highlight was the tamal. This is a top 4 dish for me and I'll be thinking about it for a while. In addition to the food, the service was great and attentive. The space was cozy and intimate. This is a must go to restaurant in Miami and absolutely deserves a Michelin star.
Be the first to ReplyWow! What.
An. Experience! It's been several years since we've dined at Ariete. We recently booked a reservation for my fiancées birthday. Helmed by Chef Michael Beltran and his expert team, Ariete's menu is constantly evolving with its American-Cuban fusion dishes that have a tad bit of French influence. This earned them a Michelin Star in 2022. Based on the experience we had, this is something we're certainly expecting them to keep!We decided to book her birthday reservation on her exact birthday during the week since weekend reservations were slammed. The ambiance was very relaxed-- perfectly matching the vibe of Coconut Grove. Up scale and intimate, but cozy, and far from pretentious. To commence the evening, she ordered an Espresso Martini while I went with the North Star (rye, french brandy, coffee bean banana, bitters). Despite the Espresso Martini being a "simple" cocktail any bar can make, Ariete's stood out. It must've been made with Cuban coffee espresso! My North Star was delicious and tasted like a sweeter Old Fashioned with hints of banana. Our server also brought us a delicious amouse bouche, which consisted of a tart topped with a creamy concoction made with garlic and veggies. It was very tasty and a good sign for the culinary experience we were about to embark on! For appetizer, we decided on the Mackerel, since this is a fish we haven't seen offered in "sashimi" form at other restaurants we've been to. Needless to say, the fish was delicious! For the main event, we decided on the Canard A La Presse/Rohan Duck For Two. Ariete is one of a handful of restaurants in the United States that has a duck press. This is something you MUST experience! We were shown our duck table side, prior to it being taken back for preparation, and brought out later with the duck press to be served. This experience will take some time and consists of several "mini-courses" that use duck before the slices of duck breast are brought out, including the Ariete salad, pistachio dukkah roasted calabaza duck tamal, duck fricassée pastelitos, and a wild mushroom and foie gravy sauce. Each dish is excellent, building up to the main event. The final 14-day dry aged duck breast is absolutely out of this world! It is one of the best protein dishes I've consumed and certainly the best duck I've had in Miami. It is cooked and seasoned so perfectly. The duck meat is self is so tender and melts in your mouth, almost or as if it serve a slice of Wagyu beef!By the end of dinner, my fiancée and I were satisfied and had to leave because her mom was cutting a cake. Nonetheless, the kitchen sent over some small treats (a lemon gummy-like treat as well as a a dark chocolate truffle) to end our meal for her birthday. It was a nice touch. The team at Ariete and PIG Inc Hospitality are really masters of their craft. No detail goes unnoticed, from the service received, to food presentation, and taste. They truly are a South Florida success story that has elevated fine dining in our area. Thank you for making my fiancée's birthday dinner so unforgettable! Can't wait to come back soon and try the venison!
Be the first to ReplyIt was my wife's birthday and I wanted to make sure we
It was my wife's birthday and I wanted to make sure we didn't only have a good meal but an experience. I looked at the reviews and read the recent Michelin guide that had given Ariete positive reviews. We arrived a bit early and waited at the bar while our table was ready. I was surprised they had a wide selection of Tequila especially Fortaleza. After a few shows and a terrific Mezcal Old Fashion and Passion Fruit Margarita we were seated. It was a short wait, maybe 10 min. We were seated outside per request, our waiter/ server was such a pleasure. Very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable of the menu. Everyone had a positive attitude and knowledge of each course, with proper explanation and great etiquette. We started with a dozen oysters. Great flavor, especially when you add the chard lime over. We also went with the Wahoo which was exceptional, highly recommend when you take a bite add the capers and gelatina. For our main, I went with the Venison. It was sensational, perfect medium to rare cook paired with truffle mash that was exquisite. My wife had the Grouper Encendido, wow! So flaky and flavorful, paired with dirty rice, make sure to mix it with the papaya for an extra kick. For dessert we went with the cigar, which I recommend for chocolate lovers. Loved the ice cream and hazelnut praline. What a great experience from the service, ambiance, food, all around 5 stars.

- Mushroom appetizer: very unique flavors and is served within a Parmesan type foam. It was delicious- Short rib: cooked to perfection, with each bite melting in your mouth. Even the little side salad was amazing. - Cigar box: fun dessert concept with yummy contents The quality is definitely deserving of its michelin star, with thought given to each little detail. We enjoyed the amuse bouche and the bread before the meal. We also got cocktails and mocktails, and everything was tasty and beautifully presented. The service was good, and our waitress was attentive. The space itself is small, which gives it a more intimate feel. Great location within coconut grove
Be the first to ReplyFrom start to finish everything was impeccable.
All of the dishes were so different and delicious. I felt like they were really striving to bring in special flavors to their menu. We had the fois gras, which I had never tried before, but it was incredible. We shared the venison and I was honestly satisfied by that and the other appetizer that we ordered, the yuca. As someone of Cuban descent, I've never had yuca taste this good, and made in such a creative way, in both design and taste. The service was also just fantastic- felt like we were really being taken care of by anyone that came to our table. They've really earned that Michelin star! Keep up the good work Ariete!
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, trendy ambiance.
The food is excellent but the tasting menu was just too much for me. But truly every bite was amazing. The grilled oysters, extra truffles on the chicken, the flan...congratulations to the chef and his crew.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here so came back for our anniversary. Meal was delicious. The oysters with bone marrow and also with uni was the highlight of the meal. Also loved the venison. Service was great. Beautiful restaurant. Love Michael Beltran's restaurants.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was very good, but the overall experience was
The food was very good, but the overall experience was dampened by average service. In reading about this restaurant, I thought that if I was going to a Michelin star restaurant, that the service would be outstanding, but that was not the case.We came because some of our party members really wanted to have the duck which is hyped in the reviews. Our waitress, Yvonne came to our table and started off by apologizing for being late. I felt that was her opportunity to let us know that the number of duck dinners was quite limited and if we wanted that we should've asked for it immediately. Jeff, their wine guy came over to help us order wine. He seemed pretentious to me. His insincerity and lack of concern was confirmed when he spilled our wine without apologizing, or acknowledge it.Sebastian was the person who brought over the food and explained it. He was very nice and did his job perfectly. Unfortunately, his role was limited and he could not rescue his coworkers. The menu was limited, but we did all enjoy our meals, even if it was disappointing that we could not get the duck that is so noted in these reviews. At the end of the meal, I explained to our waitress, my feeling about how her self proclaimed slowness to getting to our table led to the disappointment of 2 of our guests not getting the hallmark meal we came for. Her response was that we should come again so we could once again try to get the duck. To me that showed such a lack of connection with any type of human being I explained that although the food was good, I would never come back is their service is not justify their prices or Michelin Star. The bottom line is that in Miami I have found much better dining experiences for this amount of money, or less.
Be the first to ReplyCame here to celebrate my friends 24th bday.
We all loved our meals and drinks! The attention to detail and service were amazing. I already want to come back for more.
Be the first to ReplyWe sat outside in their pretty patio area.
Their service was outstanding. We ordered two appetizers and two main entrees All dishes were very creative and tasteful.
Be the first to ReplyService leaves a lot to be desired for.
Food is Ok. The location is a good. If they can just improve on service and food quality it could be a better experience.
