Bamboo Garden is overpriced and outdated. I went here for dinner with three other people. After entering (think 1970's faux Hawaii) we decided to give it a chance since we traveled from Brooklyn specifically for Guyanese Chinese food. Afterwards, I would only ever recommend this place for takeout maybe. We ordered 2 orders of pholourie which was good and a fish and chips appetizer which was full of bones and lacked any seasoning. For entrées we ordered a ($14) shrimp fried rice, ($10) jerk chicken fried rice which were good but overpriced for the portion sizes. We also got two orders of curry chicken and two orders of Roti skins. The curry chicken was $10 each and an absolute disappointment. It was brought to the table in small bowls that held less than a pint size soup from chinese restaurants. It was a pool of watery curry with two big pieces of potato filling the bottom of the bowl and a little bit a chicken with a lot of little bones and bone shards on top. The curry chicken doesn't come with anything. You have to purchase rice or roti separately for $2 each. It's bad when the kids say no thank you to desert, not from here.
