Be the first to ReplyGot the tempura combo along with the La Quinta roll.
I got filled up pretty good with it. The staff here are very nice. Easy to flag. Food came in fast. Small place, no more than 12 tables.

Be the first to ReplyExcellent quality sushi in a tiny little spot.
The service was great, as 3 of us ordered multiple items and everything came out as expected, without the server writing anything down! They have so many different rolls to choose from and all were delicious. This is truly good value with high quality. I'm so glad to have found my new go-to sushi restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic little sushi shop.

This sushi spot has undoubtedly secured its place as my favorite in the desert. Tastes amazing and is fairly priced. Not very crowded, allowing me have a more enjoyable experience. Plum wine, edamame, miso soup, and sushi. Each visit reaffirms why this spot holds a special spot in my culinary heart.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food, and the service was great.
Very quick but we went early. We will be going back. The place was small.

Small sushi restaurant with great sushi! I got the sushi combo- comes with a green salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. I'm from Hawaii and have been eating sushi and sashimi for 50 years and know good sushi- fresh fish, and a nice sized amount of fish with just the right amount of rice. Combine that with pleasant and quick service, and Sawa Sushi is a clear winner!! Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyBest octopus in the desert according to my husband.
My favorite is the side salad with delicious carrot ginger dressing
Be the first to ReplyDoesn't open when the sign says they do.
Stood and waited for 10 minutes after opening, tried the door again, the person inside ignored us. We'll go elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent for takeout! Good good and moderate prices.
The place has zero ambience so takeout is highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyKind of out of they way location, small indoor seating area.
YELP Short answer: Sure, it is okay for a quick sushi or noodle meal, just not very fancy buildout but super fast efficient service. Location: in a sea of cement in a forest of large big box and retail stores. Very small which is fine. Buildout: on a dime, but works. Menu: Pretty extensive, lots of choices not sure how they knock it out when busy. Food Prep: Nicely done.Food Quality: Pretty good, I just had one roll, it was pretty good but not tight, loose and a little hard to eat.Waitstaff: Getting down to business, these people work hard, great service. Value: Yes ok value and glad I visited but for inexpensive and other options are nearby. They seem to have a lot of regulars which is great.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is ok.

Sushi was very tasty and I appreciated the large pieces of fish with a smaller amount of rice. Great balance of flavors. Will definitely return!
Be the first to ReplyWe've been here twice now and we LOVE the food.
Everything from the tea, to the soup; the sushi, sashimi, even the presentation, are all amazing. The staff are kind and attentive. We will definitely be regulars here.

Service was a little slow, but really good, tasty rolls at a great price. They need to expand to have more tables and it will def be packed all the time.
Be the first to ReplyOur go to spot for sushi in La Quinta.
High quality fish, only draw back is restaurant is very small.
Be the first to ReplyDO NOT COME HERE.
Waste of time & money. This place was overall just a very unpleasant experience. Belongs on kitchen nightmare. It gave hole in the wall vibes, but the benefits that usually come along with that were not present. It was dark as hell in there too. Why block out the windows if you have terrible lighting? The sushi itself was awful texture & not good. Felt kinda sick halfway through and couldn't continue eating. Then paid about $70 for a few rolls, miso soup & an appetizer. Waitress was very rude to top it off.
Be the first to ReplyPretty let down with this place based on the other reviews.
Weird atmosphere, very expensive, and most importantly the food was not good.

What at first glance looks like a hole in the wall is in reality a slice of Japanese heaven. Everything was first class. Fresh, well prepared and tasty. Do not hesitate to try Sawa.
Be the first to ReplyFood is good but atmosphere very bad.
It was 105 degrees outside and they refused to turn on AC. They had fans going. Outrageous! When asked to turn on their response was "that's how it is". Plus place too small. There are many sushi places in town avoid this this one!
Be the first to ReplyTried Sawa based on other Yelp reviews.
It's not that it was overwhelmingly bad, it just wasn't that good.Tried multiple rolls, albacore lover, baked scallops, the lobster one, and nothing was impressive. Unfortunately I wouldn't return.
