lovely food
I enjoyed eating the lovely food at Barabba, Appetizers, bread, mains and desserts were all perfectly cooked, with some imaginative twists. Wine pairings were thoughtfully chosen. Service is super-friendly without overdoing it. The room is comfortable but nothing special. Prices are reasonable by local standards I would eat here again.

Great food and very good wines Would love to come back The service felt familiar and pleasant The price level is ok but expensive for the Swedish wallet

A very enjoyable and delicious evening. The atmosphere is super fun and the staff is great. The open kitchen gives a glimpse into the precision and organization of the operations. The dishes are unique but accessible. A great example of Copenhagen fine dining but in a more relaxed setting. Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat!
Be the first to ReplyVery bad food with flavors and mixtures. A complete disappointment and unfortunate value for the cost. I do not recommend it
Very poor quality and horrible flavors. I do not recommend it and the price is very expensive for the quality and flavor. We didn't like any dish on the tasting menu
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, atmosphere and staff.
Delicious food and hospitable staff. The food was innovative and delicious. The owner/manager was very helpfull with wine pairings. Reservation recommended, we booked our visit for about 4 weeks in advance.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Disappointing. Not worth it. The worst was the service- unwelcoming. The wine recommended did not manifest itself to be in accordance with the description but no apologies forthcoming. The signature caviar dish is just salty, not signature

Divine tasting menu and wine pairing. Service was friendly, not snooty at all. Food was delicious and there was enough of it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Be the first to Replyworst experience in copenhagen
we waited 45 minutes for 2 fairly small pasta dishes. the staff haven't said anything other than smiling at us throughout the long wait, and when the dishes finally arrived they were mediocre at best. then we had to wait another 20 minutes for a cold fish with no taste. overall worst experience we had in copenhagen so far, would not recommend. we sealed the evening and our hunger with gyros near by which was much better than the whole barabba experience.

Gorgeous Friday dinner: Every plate was great and the atmosphere was really nice. The service is always there to help. Outstanding wine list.
Be the first to ReplyBadly!
I was there with a friend & ordered a main course & wine. The bill was SEK 1,700 for two people, which in itself is completely crazy. The service was among the worst we have experienced. My friend's dish tasted way too seafoody which led us to send the dish back… guess who had to pay for it anyway… SO BAD. Will never go back there! The world's most unpleasant manager!

Went to celebrate my parents birthday and we went for the tasting menu. We had asked beforehand if there was a way to change some of the menu items and they made it sound like they could switch out anything. I am pregnant and therefore not comfortable with eating certain items on the tasting menu - which they convinced us was no problem at all. Either way I got the thing I can’t eat even after reminding staff twice of changing that one. At this point I started started getting very sick/nauseous (which is all on me!) but we did not want to waste the food by bringing it out and me not being able to eat so we asked for them to stop serving me. They were not very understanding of this and came out with the next dish either way. We then asled again not to waste their food they stopped serving after that. What I find strange is that they showed no understanding. For a restaurant of this prize point you expect way better service and at least offering us the food in take away instead of stopping the service midway and still charging full price. Overall the food and the wine pairing we received was underwhelming and service could have been better.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing experience - hair in the food.
My girlfriend and I Went there last night. We were greeted in the door and and led to our table. The waiters were nice and explained the menu to us. We ordered a little different, mainly pasta dishes. Veal tongue for starter. When I take my first bite, a 5 cm long hair gets in my mouth. Yummy. It's cool with the open kitchen, so you can see the hustle and bustle in the kitchen, but not cool when you can see which chef the hair comes from... Oh well. We eat our pastas - lovely dishes - and just as we finished our last dish, we are asked to move because they have to prepare the table for the next party. The reservation said we had the table until 8.15 pm, it was only 7.45 pm. We're not the types to be troublesome, so we follow along to the bar and get the coffee here. We order two cortados. Drinks up and asks for the bill. The bill around DKK 1600 for two people. At the bottom of the bill comes almost the funniest thing - they charge us for both coffee AND the milk in the coffee. That's a first. Left with a regretful feeling. We both woke up in the middle of the night with sick stomachs. I can't say for sure if it's because of the food from Barabba, but we shared all the dishes, so it's very likely. Hair in the food indicates that hygiene is not top notch. Generally not worth visiting compared to how many other delicious restaurants you find in Copenhagen.

I recently dined at your restaurant and had the worst meal of my life. Your attempt at using eclectic ingredients for show was completely pathetic. I vomited two entire days after eating there.

An address that had been warmly recommended to us but in the end a disappointment. Rather cold place with very noisy acoustics. A very pleasant but stressed service. Spaghetti with caviar far too salty that we returned to the kitchen. A very dry duck filet. Good but expensive wine. A seemingly trendy place but rather overrated.
Be the first to ReplyNice atmosphere with good food.
Had the tasting menu and enjoyed it very much. We also took the caviar pasta as an extra course, and it was delicious. My husbands favorite was the pulpo and mine the caviar pasta. We also took the wine pairing and the owner kindly presented all of the wines to us. The wines where a little bit disappointing, but the non alcoholic drinks where excellent. Good music and nice atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyA positive discovery in the city
Food and service were overall great. We had dishes from the tasting menu. Antipasti, bread and pasta were the best. The new taste given by the combination of saffron and lemon was a delightful surprise. The potato and truffle dish together with the dessert didn’t excite us.
Biggest issue was the loud music. Good choice of 90s music! But it made it hard to converse - and even hear what the staff said through their mandatory face masks. Second issue was a large number of fruit flies that stayed on and near the orange wall near the kitchen - unfortunately unappetizing. The problems could be dealt with by lowering volume of the music and putting up fruit fly traps.
Overall, we'd recommend the restaurant. And we will happily go back, hoping that our suggestions will have been taken into consideration.
Loud visit to a place with a lot of potential
Food was generally very good, but the wines served with it weren’t a hit. Ecological wines with funky and different flavor profiles - probably super trendy, but not super tasty in our opinion.
Service was good as well, had we only heard what the waiter told us. The music played in the restaurant was at a volume level that made it heard to have a conversation with your fellow diners, and absolutely impossible to hear what the waiters said. Felt more like dining in a nightclub, than in a restaurant. Ruined the whole experience for us unfortunately.
Creative and exceptionally tasty Italian place
Creative yet not over the edge Italian cuisine. Extremely tasty, intriguing combinations. Perhaps due to the owners’ prior experience in Noma? In any case exceptional Italian food in casual setting. Nice wines too.

AMAZING FOOD & SERVICE
A must on our copenhagen stays!
We were both truly happy to be guests at this resturant as the italian food and wine pairing is a wonderful experience, all in the hands of the most amazing staff securing the history of the food is being shared together with the plates.
Don’t miss out on the 7 course meal where both caviar pasta as well as desserts and so much more ecceds expections.
Thanks again for a fantastic evening!
Modern and still authentic
This is a modern and innovative restaurant with a splendid host who pays attention to his gusts. Besides great food there is an interesting wine list - both for the traditional as well as for the experimental taste.

Unbelievable flavours, nice attentive staff. Tasting menu of the best ones I have ever had. 550 DKK for the menu and I highly recommend adding a spaghetti with caviar and butter as an extra.
Be the first to ReplyA bit expansive but some very amazing dishes
I was there with my son and we love good food, not least slow food from Italy.
We ordered one testing menu and vegetarian one. Five dishes each and starters with small very creative arrangements.
I would not say that everything was wonderful. Sometimes, the creativity took over the armony of test, and the dish was too complicate; for example, the octopus was very well grilled and didn't need so many different tests beside the main cream and vegetables.
But more than half of the dishes was wonderful and actually in world class slow food. Amazing pasta with ansjoser and caviar, duck, gniocchi with mushrooms and desserts was some of them.
Very interesting natural wine recomme de by the staff who is very professional, showing awareness and discretion. At the same time.
No doubt that it is a good place to have a special evening!
