From the appetizer to the dessert, we were not disappointed! BTW, we are beignets snobs, our server insisted theirs were of better quality than the Cafe du Monde!! She was absolutely correct! Best beignets EVER! Our service was exceptional and the weather didn't fail us either! Unfortunately they were under construction inside, so no bar (we don't drink alcohol) but it wasn't nice to see. The patio however is stunning. The water feature is great background noise.

We had a delicious and expensive breakfast this morning at the Barking Frog. It wasn't crowded and we sat outside. The service is great and so is the avocado toast! It's really pretty inside and out and fun and very relaxing! Our waitress Mo is delightful! The berries are grown here and so delicious!
Short Answer: Pick the "Barking Frog.
" Bigger party? Small party? Yes. Need fantastic food, ambiance AND amazing service? Here you go. They have you covered. A Bit Longer Answer (as those who know me have come to expect): ...and they say advertising doesn't work...Ha! It did for me! While sitting in front of my computer this morning, coffee in hand, going hither and yon between financial articles and the daily deluge of emails, I stumbled upon an email from "Barking Frog." Oh...ooh...oh my...their menu was enchanting. It was enchanting enough to convince me to book a table for this evening for my husband and me. Just saying, when you are directed to the "Open Table" website there is this little box down further that asked for any notes you might want to provide. I usually do. No, it wasn't anything all that important, I just said I was "hijacking my husband of 36+ years from yard work for a "date night". That's all. Dash forward to walking in. We were greeted by a lovely hostess named Hailey, who had a smile and an attitude that welcomed you immediately. She had actually read my comments. How nice! Tim, our main server, and Victor. his assistant, were perfectly available without hovering. Tim actually knew the menu. He referred to his notes on occasion to verify a question. As often as they change their menu, depending on what is fresh, and/or the groovy whimsy of the chef, I appreciate Tim's attention to detail. By the by, our table was wonderful! It was in a corner, on a corner so we could see their outside deck (which looks fantastic but a bit too humid for me tonight), their cool kitchen and the other guests. It may have been the best table there. I would certainly ask for it again. You know that table that is in the corner without you feeling you are "stuck in a corner"? Nice! The noise level is, in my humble opinion, PERFECT! They were busy, especially for a Tuesday but, even with the fairly open concept, it was not loud, just happy chatter. We could easily hear each other. Yay! Our food? OH MY GOSH! We started with their house salad, "The 'Hidden Choice". Light, with a balsamic dressing to die for, obviously freshly cut romaine and the sweetest baby tomatoes... We also ordered their breadbasket - highly recommend this! There were at least four different types of bread - all freshly made and very good. They also had a gluten-free selection available, but I am afraid I am more a "Go Gluten or Go Home" kind of gal. I admit, I did ask another guest at another table who had ordered the gluten-free option what she thought, and she said it was wonderful. Our entrées? They were both lovely in presentation and flavor!!! I ordered the Diver Scallops option. Oh, happy day! The saffron yogurt sauce, the vanilla sultans, the pistachios, and the vadouvan carrots were seriously the perfect accompaniment to those DIVER SCALLOPS! (I had to look the vadouvan spice mix up after I got home just to make sure, it's a French derivative -as Tim mentioned, of a masala spice mix - BIG FAN... Oh, World Spice in Seattle carries it, I just ordered it...but I digress) We, lovers of scallops, understand that there is a FINE LINE between complimenting scallops and overpowering them. The Barking Frog rocked this one! The scallops were so delicious! And the way they were presented, on top of all these delightful flavors, carefully placed individually but alongside each other, allowing you to either enjoy them together or separately (my vote is to include them all in one bite, but that is me). As Tim also shared, it is not a "hot" just truly tasty. We also had a side of some of the best asparagus I have had in forever. Craig opted for the "long bone pork chop". Now, let me preface this by saying Craig has had issues with pork chops over the years. They tend to be a bit tough, right? Pork, I find, is often so lean it comes at the expense of tender...but, God bless him, Craig took a leap of faith and ordered it (after quizzing poor Tim for at least a few minutes). The presentation: gorgeous. The pork chop itself: INCREDIBLE! So tender and good! The way they plated it was completely different to what I had seen before. It was innovative and allowed for such a thick chop to be cooked to perfection without having the outside being overdone. Craig was over the moon. I assured myself, and Craig, I was skipping dessert...until I saw their crème Brulee. Wicked temptress that it is...and with these lavender-vanilla shortbread cookies...I mean really, can you blame me? Gorgeous sugar crust, sweet custard (but not too sweet)...Heaven sent. Order this, too. The Barking Frog is a gem. And it was the perfect "date night". Go there. You will thank me.
A singular dinner restaurant, easily besting many
A singular dinner restaurant, easily besting many Michelin-star experiences I have had. The creativity of the dishes is remarkable, showing a deft treatment of local ingredients. The chefs are obviously experienced in combining powerful flavors with grace, evidenced throughout our meal in the impeccable foie gras course, the scallops with curry, the cucumber frozen yogurt intermezzo, and the amuse bouche. If you can make it here for dinner before the restaurant receives its well deserved accolades, consider yourself quite lucky. The attention paid to subtle details in the experience elevated the meal considerably. Our servers replaced all cutlery for every course, folded napkins while diners were away, provided warmed sharing plates for entrees, and made lovely conversation throughout the several hour meal. The sommelier deserves a shoutout for his remarkable ability to know what our group wanted without us even asking for it. Note the quiet atmosphere and how it is achieved; careful interior design with abundant exposed wood helps absorb loud sounds, while generous table spacing ensured our conversations were private. The open kitchen and quiet ambiance worked brilliantly when the restaurant was nearly full and when nearly empty, aided by the comfortable furnishings and warm lighting. Take care to enjoy the space, the food, the beverages, the experience, and most importantly the people. These talented folks will give you the meal of your year.
Barking Frog Excellence!!
BRAVO! An EXCELLENT brunch on 8/9/25!! Sat inside with my wife for an anniversary brunch, as the outside patio tables were all taken. We were pleasantly surprised as to how wonderful the food and staff were. Haven't been to the Barking Frog for five years or so, but will definitely be back again soon. It was a joyful and memorable experience, and far different from many of my other outings. Had (1) their Breakfast Scramble and (2) their Eggs plus Avocado Toast, which were both superbly done with very nice presentation. Even the side order of rye toast came artfully arranged. Having worked in restaurants before, I was impressed with the BUSBOYS (often an indicator of training at a quality establishment), who quickly cleared and cleaned the tables, and then very carefully reset the tables and dinnerware. Their focus on detail was unusual. The servers brought and refilled coffees quickly, and the small jars of marmalade on the table were a nice treat. The table next to ours got pancakes or french toast with real maple syrup in small bottles, which was cute. The only downside we experienced was a somewhat extended wait between taking the order and delivery (perhaps due to an influx of customers when we arrived). Also, for a restaurant of this quality, I suggest that the waiters all wear shirts with collars (and perhaps white, red or silver bow ties) to distinguish themselves from other staff, instead of everyone wearing black t-shirts. That would also create a bit of formality and celebration (and increase their tips). Also, the chefs should wear specialty colored hats of some sort to help make them more visible, and integrate them into the surroundings. In any event, that's it. WELL DONE, BARKING FROG!! The food was great.
The flavors were delicious. We had halibut, and duck. The service however, was disappointing. The staff were apologetic and explained they were short staffed, but there is no excuse for not seeing our server from him taking our order, to presenting the dessert menu.
WILLOWS LODGE RESTAURANT.
This restaurant is actually part of the hotel. It is elegant and nicely appointed, both inside and out. The outdoor seating is pleasant on a warm summer day with umbrellas for shade. Our friends raved about this place. It's nice, and we enjoyed our meal, but rave? I dunno. The service was excellent, and the food was above average. It is pricy and presents itself as such. This restaurant also handles all the room service for the hotel, so if you have trouble getting a reservation and are staying at the hotel, you can always return to your room and order from the menu there, although it is slightly more limited. For our appetizers, we had the caviar plate, which contained a tablespoon or less of caviar, some crème, and those little pancake-like caviar breads. Our entrees were very good as well. Cheers.

This is a great spot for a nice dinner date, we got in the hall and the place has a nice upscale feeling to it. Our server was friendly and gave us a lot of options, we asked for a vegetarian menu and they provided a separate menu with customizations allowed. The food itself was really fresh and tasted amazing, it is a farm to table concept and most dishes are based on local seasonal produce. Loved the experience will come again and even try their brunch some day.

Service attentive but not invasive! The sommelier recommended a fabulous wine and was approachable dinners were excellent! My only complaint was paying for bread which was just ok. But spending over $600 and having to be nickeled and dimed over bread felt petty and cheap! Sitting outside on the patio was perfectly comfortable!

Came in on a Saturday morning around 10:30 for brunch, we were told the wait would be about an hour but ended up being a little shorter. We found out they now accept reservations as well! We were also able to order drinks while we waited so ordered some delicious bloody mary's. We started with the beignets (delicious as always) and I ordered the eggs benedict. They had a special going on with porcetta so I opted for that over the original version. It was so so good I hope they add it to their menu full time because that would be a game changer. Staff were kind and helpful :)
A Cut Above The Average Lily Pad!
We visit family in the PNW every other year and a visit wouldn't feel right without at least one visit to the Barking Frog. This time we came for a late breakfast and both the environment, atmosphere and food lived up to our memories. A cool and comfortable interior, quite dark furnishings but these work well, feeling cosy in the winter and cool in the warmer months. Always start with Beignets, a plate in the middle of the table and everyone skewering a sugar dusted mouthful of deep but lightly fried deliciousness with a selection of cream cheese to spread over - we had banana and chocolate and huckleberry. My other half was sorry to see that Breakfast Burritos are no longer on the menu but was very pleased with his Scramble. I tried the Acai bowl, mixed berry compote topped with peanut butter and a selection of fruits and granola, shredded coconut as the crown. For those who are feeling indulgent there are a good selection of Mimosa and Bellini. Service, as everywhere in the States, is attentive and efficient. My only criticism, and a personal one, is that the compote which formed the base of my bowl was VERY cold, almost like eating ice cream and, as a breakfast dish, I just would have preferred it at room temperature. However, a good excuse to linger over the meal. Lovely to return to the Barking Frog, it is becoming one of our 'must do's' on our trips.

Truly exceptional experience from start to finish. While not inexpensive they offer some reasonably priced bottles of wine and $9 beers to imbibe. Food is phenomenal and the Oregon black truffle option closes the deal!
Really long wait for overdone below par burger
Came for lunch today with a friend who had never been. The staff was friendly. There were lots of open tables. After ordering, we waited 25 mins for lunch. We were about to ask what the holdup was, when our waitress finally came and said they had to remake the fish and chips because there were bones in it! After another 10 mins we finally get our meals. Really never apologised for how long we had to wait! My burger was very well done, hard on the edges but was supposed to be med-well. No seasoning really. I didn't finish and told her it was very over done. No apology, nothing. We ordered dessert. She brings the bill and we were shocked they didn't take off the dessert or part of the meal. Nothing.

Welcoming team and outstanding food
Arrived at 2:30 worried that we wouldn’t be seated bc it was end of lunch service. The entire team was very welcoming. We had a wonderful lunch. The BLTA was very good and the Rueben was outstanding tho I wish lamb flavor showed through more. Coffee was excellent. Will be returning a time or two more on our trip.
Huge Kudos to Barking Frog Staff !!
I want to send a huge SHOUT OUT to TYLER at the Barking Frog. We were there for breakfast on a Friday, 8/30/2024. We ended up arriving right before breakfast ended. In addition, we only had a 45 minute window to eat as we had an appointment in downtown Woodinville. The staff commented that they couldn't guarantee we would receive our food in time since they just had received 2 large parties. We understood and left. The staff had obviously mentioned this to Tyler. Tyler came out after us and said he would love to have us there for breakfast and he could make sure we got our meal in time to meet our schedule. He was FANTASTIC! I can't thank him enough! We had a wonderful breakfast and will definitely be back. We have been there before and always have great food and service. Thank you again!
Impromptu lunch
Stopped in for lunch with my husband the day after 4th of July. The lunch menu was fairly limited, but the food and service were excellent. It’s a lovely setting, and I highly recommend it

Wonderful evening with amazing entrees and service
This restaurant is part of The Willows Lodge in Woodinville. We made reservation via Open Table. Arrived a little bit early, parked in the lot, walked around the lodge property a little bit. It took longer than expected to get seated (10 minutes), the hostess was no where to be seen while other staff assured us she will be right back. At least we were not ignored. We got a comfortable four top table for the two of us. The ambience is quite welcoming. It has a open view to the kitchen. Enjoyed the sea diver scallops with goat cream risotto, bergamot, brassica, pine. Also got the Bavarian pork chop. Spätzle griddle cake, house-made sauerkraut, local apple sauce, mustard sumac cream. Both were excellent. Finished our dinner with pear in a nest for dessert. Baked almond cream, Asian pears, cranberry mascarpone, orange butter sauce, shredded wheat. Service was very prompt. We enjoyed the dinner outing, and will return.

* ElaborateHouse74 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ElaborateHouse74 for any questions Peter may have as ElaborateHouse74 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ElaborateHouse74 now uses their connections at Barking Frog Woodinville to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ElaborateHouse74 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
