We went on Valentines Day.
The ambiance is really nice, we sat outside. The table was a bit small especially considering how large the displays are for each item. The waiter was attentive and helpful in regards to selecting items. Of course this place is expensive, you know it when you look it up. However, the taste of the food does not align with the pricing. The cocktails were good but again not so out of this world that they warrant a $40 price tag. It's a one and done type of experience which is sad to me because I'd love to go here with friends who come in from out of town but the food just doesn't taste good enough to want to return. Add some flavor and I'd be back in no time!

I attended Barton G for me and my boyfriend's anniversary a few nights ago. We had a 7 PM reservation and everything was smooth. Valet is $25 but I recommend doing rideshare! Tucked into more of the residential Bayside of Miami Beach, which I thought was nice and pleasant. We started with the lobster pop tarts, which came in a toaster. Odd concept, but very good because I love lobster, but could maybe have a little more flavor. Next we got the popcorn shrimp, which was my favorite it came in a popcorn machine with popcorn, which was a nice snack along with the shrimp. I don't particularly like fried shrimp, but this was the best shrimp I have ever had. I got the lobster mac & cheese, and my boyfriend got the mouse trap, mac & cheese, lobster mac & cheese is my favorite food, I found it slightly cold, but the lobster was great. For dessert we got the dollar dollar bill dessert that is torched at the table. I recommend getting it with a side of vanilla ice cream very yummy. Lastly, we got the Marie Antoinette cotton candy head. It was breath taking! Overall: 10/10 presentation, 6/10 food, 7.5/10 service.
Be the first to ReplyI went here for my birthday, we had a great time.
Their food & drinks were movie themed and everything we had was delicious, there had an amazing crowd of people mostly everyone was from out of town. Our service was amazing. The music was a bit on the loud side but we did outdoor dining and the weather was perfect.

Love love love the really extreme and dramatic displays for the cocktails and menu items. Really fun experience if you are celebrating a special occasion. Food was good, I do with their were bigger portions however and be mindful if you have a large party that the food displays can make it crowded if everyone has a special cocktail or food option.

A fun and comical dinner experience! I was expecting this restaurant to be more for the experience, but was pleasantly surprised with how much we all loved the food! The steaks were tender, pasta was loaded with flavor and seafood! Services was great, but drinks were okay. Overall the ambiance was fun and they were playing great music!

I don't know if I went when they were under construction or what but the ambience was not giving what it was supposed to have gave. Yes, the food is decorated nicely, but I can tell you one thing the food is not, and that is seasoned.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambience is great.
The service is amazing. The food is just OK you are paying for the display of the food. The water is $10 even if you just get tap so just a warning do not come here if you are on a budget . The display of the food is really fun and the drinks and martinis are also fun to watch being displayed at other peoples tables Some of the food doesn't seem very worth it because the prices are so high end and I got the cheapest thing on the menu which I believe was $36 Overall great experience but I probably won't be coming back .
Be the first to ReplyIf you like a gimmick restaurant, this one is for you.
They serve everything on the menu with some kind of ridiculous, oversized prop. Food is decent but overpriced. The lobster Mac was very good but a bit over powered by the truffle oil.

Look, I went on Valentine's Day and this place was a disaster. This was my 3rd time patronizing the Barton G chain, twice here in Miami and once in LA, never made it to my local Chicago location when it was open. Here's the deal, I went through the proper channels by properly scheduling a reservation, confirming and even arrived on time. The check in process was chaotic, it was filled with angry diners who had been there for 30 minutes to 1 hr waiting for their prescheduled reservations. When I walked up, I knew it would be a disaster if the people ahead of me were experiencing long wait times. While checking in periodically, we were dismissed by the hostess several times and pushed away with the rationalization that "they are seating people as they arrive". WHAT!!! What's the purpose of a reservation if you as a business don't have your customers adhere to your table time policy, OF COURSE IT IS GOING TO CAUSE A SNOWBALL EFFECT. Complete mismanagement of time and organization, on a day like Valentine's in such a prestigious establishment such a Barton G was a major a disappointment! After about 30-40 minutes with absolutely no compensation from Management, we were finally seated. :( The is valet. There is extremely tight indoor seating, thankfully everyone was kind about minor bumps here in there. There is outdoor seating as well. The server was amazing as well. Price point was cool. Music was great, kudos to the DJ/playlist. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT and all of the gimmicks won't disappoint! To anyone planning to come here, especially on a big holiday, expect delays and don't plan anything afterwards you might be here a while.
Be the first to ReplyThe dishes & drinks are all fun to receive.
There is a joy in receiving a dish that tastes good and has a theme to its plating.

you're going for the experience, not the amazing service or food. Just keep that in mind. The service was decent. I find that nowhere in Miami has amazing service. Anyhow, we were sat as soon as we walked in for our reservation. We ordered drinks and they were tasty and the presentation was so over the top and fun. For apps we got the lobster poptarts and popcorn shrimp. Both were very underwhelming and the lobster had a little fishy smell. For entrees we ordered the Amish chicken, Boo G. Pasta, Shell Shocked BBQ Short Ribs. All were very tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta, the chicken was tasty if you like a honey flavor on your chicken, and short ribs were tender and flavorful. The sundae was HUGE and delish.

I went w/ my family for my birthday; hostess & waiters wished me happy birthday many times. Presentations of drinks; appetizers; dinners & desserts were impressive. Food portions were smaller except for salad & dessert. Food was average. Fun for an event; probably wouldn't return but glad we went for the experience

This place holds up to the "over the top" concept however paying $42 for a cocktail is insane to me but I obliged. I will say visit here if you are in a presentation mood and looking to impress your date or have a fun girls night out if you are in town.

Been here many times and the food was so good, its usually fresh, well-seasoned and the service is so good. I was genuinely surprised when the food didn't taste that great, some of the food taste change, and there are some lackings. The portions were small too and a bit pricey. The restaurant has amazing setting. Good spot for any occasions. So cool atmosphere. Not sure why some food taste different but still nice restaurant to try.

Absolutely delicious! Very good service, excellent food but ridiculously priced. If you're looking for an 'experience' dinner, this is for you. The presentations are incredible! I definitely recommend the wings as an appetizer as well as the sliders. The food and drinks were great but that's a lot of $$$ for a good presentation

My birthday experience was a nasty experience I was sat outside in a built like Cabanna, I never mentioned outside dining it was going well until the big cockroaches started to join me and my family when brought to the attention of the manager we were told we live in Florida as if this was something we should have expected while dining at a 5stat restaurant sad part was It was my birthday so after the 3rd roach appeared that was it we were no longer interested and packed up and we left... Nasty! Never got my dessert
Be the first to ReplyFood is highly overpriced and just poor quality.
Delivered cold and saucy... looks like cafeteria food on dance presentation contraptions

The food was not that great for the price nor the alcoholic beverage. Ambience is nice I believe that is what we are paying for. The service was pretty good. Don't think I'll Come back.
Be the first to ReplyReally fun and unique dinner.
The food and presentations for each dish were really enjoyable but most importantly the food was great too! Particularly enjoyed the Samari salmon and seafood bathtub and our kids loved the popcorn shrimp. After seeing most of the deserts paraded by our table to other tables throughout the night we wanted to order them all, they all looked amazing. Overall a really fun dinner!

Such a cool place to eat! Everything was so extravagant, from the drinks display to the food, which was delicious too and plenty to share as well. Definitely would recommend coming here if you're in Miami!
Be the first to ReplyService is amazing food is good! Over pricey.
. Try not too order too much as the portions are pretty big! Especially for the fried chicken part

It took a little bit to get seated even though we had reservations. Good and drinks were great. Eat plate has a extraordinary presentation.

I first saw this place on IG and wanted to try it! The food and drinks are brought out in fancy displays that made the experience more enjoyable. The food was also amazing and the drinks were strong! This was the perfect spot for my husbands birthday dinner.
Be the first to ReplyThe cost to flavor ratio was sub par.
The experience/presentation was amazing. They put on a great show. The staff are amazing. I do say do it as an experience, some tug you won't do again, but not on the regular. The food was ok. The ideas for the food are interesting. We did enjoy the popcorn shrimp and lobster pop tarts ( there were 2, and they were tiny). We enjoyed watching all the different foods come out to other tables as well as ours. The Marie Antoinette cotton candy was huge. We got the ice cream sundae to share, I can make better brownies at home. We got a ton of ice cream, and a smidge of fudge. We were able to take the ice cream home. They were very accommodating for food allergies. Go for the fun/show. Dessert was the best part.
