If you are a cheese lover this is the spot for you.
I visited the restaurant downstairs and was pleasantly surprised by lots and lots of cheese options available in several different forms, from grilled cheese sandwiches to Mac and Cheese flights to Charcuterie plates you won't be disappointed with this range. Full bar ready to make you any drink you want and knowledgeable servers ready to suggest the perfect wine pairing. Many of the dishes are designed to share so this place is great to go with friends. The ambiance is cozy and intimate but casual so its fitting for a date too. Table seating seems to fill up during dinner hour however there are a few seats at the bar too.

So yummy! I would definitely go back with friends to try more of the shareable dishes. Peach, Prosciutto & Burrata Toast: Hands down my favorite item!! The toast was so refreshing and the perfect balance between sweet and salty. Tomato Soup: Flavorful soup, but the croutons were soggy and melted into soup which was unpleasant. Smoked Turkey Sandwich: My least favorite item. There was nothing special about the turkey sandwich and we couldn't taste any of the cheese. "World's Best" Mac & Cheese: Delicious! We could really taste the high quality cheese.

Cheese was delicious, 5/5! Wine was decent, I'd give it a 4/5. But does pair well with the cheese! We also tried the Mac and cheese flight, which was a little underwhelming for me. 3.5/5.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to come
This place is ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. It's your standard fast casual American restaurant. I was seated quickly but it took a while (about 10-15 minutes) for my order to be taken. When I asked if they could charge my phone, I was told they could not because it's "a liability." I was directed to a plug but I only had the USB, not the block I could plug it into. That's neither here nor there, but other restaurants have charged my phone as a courtesy. As a vegetarian, my options were limited. I wanted to try the fig jam grilled cheese, but when the server went to check on whether the sandwiches were cross-contaminated, she found out they grill it on the same grill as their meat, and the kitchen would not clean the grill to make my sandwich, which is fair, but they also weren't busy the night I went (they were at 30-40% capacity). I ended up ordering the "world's best" Mac and cheese. It was subpar for something referred to as the "world's best," and was identical to what they sell packaged and frozen at the supermarket. You can get better Mac and Cheese literally anywhere else in Manhattan I've been with Mac and cheese on the menu. Overall conclusion: service is fine, but if you're a vegetarian, I'd skip this place, especially considering there are literally dozens of better restaurants in a 2-3 block radius.
Be the first to ReplyThe service was amazing .
The wine was good as well as margaritas . However, my friend ordered the mac&cheese and steak & it was so little on top of the Mac & cheese . He was still hungry after he ate his meal. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich and it was very good just a bit too spicy . I think this location is amazing and I'll most likely go again for a cheese plate and a glass of wine . Definitely gives me Napa valley vibes .

Food is phenomenal, especially the grilled cheese and Mac & cheese. However they wouldn't seat us in the cellar when it opened which is kinda weird? Threw me off & had to sit by the cheese counter which is fine I'm not a princess by all means but the downstairs looks super dope... i will come back soon
Be the first to ReplyTried the famous grilled cheese sandwich I saw on Eater.
It was hearty and tasted fairly good. Bread was not very special. Cheese was a bit salty but as good as what simple grilled jack cheese tastes. Just overall not super memorable or mind-blowing. Service was fast and friendly.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible customer service (Tuesday 12:45).
The young woman at the counter was so helpful at recommending just the right cheese; she should be used to train future generations of employees. The variety was great.Prices are fair.Their standard cheese was delicious.I'll be back soon.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a review of their location in LGA terminal A.
Long lines, and end result is an incredibly stale cinnamon roll that costs over $4. What a joke. Any coffee cart cinnamon bun is far superior to this dry, small, stale bun.

While I strongly disagree, if tou are in the neighborhood you can stop by for a quick sandwich. You can watch them making cheese, some parts of it clearly, while waiting for your order to be ready. We had the plain grilled cheese, the meatball and the turkey cheese sandwiches. I found the meatballs to have too much herbs which was a bit overwhelming and hid the meats taste. The plain one was a bit boring as the cheese IMO was not sharp enough. The turkey was ok. Their bread is good. But for a place that claims to be a cheese place you would expect different and more cheese option and flavors.

Encountered this place on sat and there was happy hr 4-7 p! Ordered drinks and decent priced apps fr $7-$12. Really good if you want to stop for a break w apps and a drink. There's also a more formal room downstairs to sit. Theres a cool cheese making window you can peer through.
Be the first to ReplyMy friend and I stopped at Beecher's Handmade Cheese
My friend and I stopped at Beecher's Handmade Cheese yesterday! And wow we were so impressed! This is basically a cheese factory, you can watch cheese be made as you dine here. It's really cool. They also have a happy hour menu everyday, including the weekends. We got their "world's best" mac & cheese and the prosciutto & burrata to share. These were both off the happy hour menu. The mac & cheese is perfect if you need to heat up with some delicious comfort food after a lot of walking outside in the cold. It's cheesy, fresh and so comforting, eat carefully, this is hot. The prosciutto & burrata was even better. This was so perfect! Every single thing on this plate was excellent. It came with a few pieces of crostini, fig spread, really tender prosciutto, and the freshest burrata cheese. Everything is so tasty and perfect! We both really enjoyed. We also had a pumpkin ale, also so good! What a great spot, I'm so looking forward to visiting again!

My husband and I went to the Wine & Cheese pairing class at Beecher's. First of all, if you love cheese and you're in NYC, you need to stop here. They have lots of different flavors and types of cheese...there's bound to be at least one that you like! Our class was led by Jamie, who is fun, knowledgeable and engaging! Although I wasn't a huge fan of the wines, it was fun to learn about pairings with cheese, try some new combinations and have a nice date night out on the town. If we had more time, we would have stayed for dinner; the menu looked great! We got some of their tomato soup to go, as I had read in many Yelp reviews that it's the best. It was definitely good, and perfect after a chilly dash to Grand Central to catch our train home!

Beechers is a great choice! Got the fig sandwich and Mac and cheese. If you're in the area, GO!!
Be the first to ReplyYou have to try their tomato soup.
I would never think to order tomato soup, but theirs is amazing, and literally the best in the world. Their brownies are great, too.Their mac and cheese is really good, too. When you visit, take a look opposite the counter, and you can see where they make their cheese. All these giant blocks of curd - it's something to look at.
Be the first to ReplyTo be completely my honest I am not a huge mac n cheese fan
To be completely my honest I am not a huge mac n cheese fan but Beechers is pretty darn good. We got the mac n' cheese flight and grilled cheese w/ tomato soup. Each item was unique, had lots of flavor and had that smooth melted cheese that is needed for these dishes. Oh cant forget, the drinks were fantastic.
Be the first to ReplyWe did the wine and cheese pairing, it was fine.
Maybe a 5 out of 10. Jamie was our person and was nice but we all got there and the last couple was late and he was like sorry we're waiting let me give you guys a sip of bubbly while we wait and when he was going to do it the last couple showed up and he was like oh I can't now. Then at the end the last cheese wasn't apart of the pairing so we're all sipping the wine with the wrong cheese and he goes I just realized they put out the wrong cheese so he went to get us the actual cheese. I go I drank all my wine can I get another to pair and he said I'm not allowed my boss won't let me but let me asked. He left for 15 minutes, came back and grabbed the check and left again for 15 minutes and said have a lovely night. So I paid close to $200 for 2 people on a pairing but never got the full experience

We were walking around Union square and found this little place for a happy hour. Would definitely recommend reservations, we were lucky to find a seat at the bar though. Our bartender was great and helpful and recommended the perfect happy hour selection. I had the white blend and she had the red blend and we shared the pimiento cheese deviled eggs & small cheese plate. The cheese was made in house and was delicious. They had a gouda style and a soft style with fresh bread and fig jam. The deviled eggs were amazing as well. I would definitely recommend this for a wine and cheese date or happy hour!!
Be the first to ReplyThis place has a great happy hour! We tried the deviled
This place has a great happy hour! We tried the deviled eggs and the chef's choice cheese plate from the happy hour menu. The house made Gouda style cheddar paired perfectly with the fig jam and I would order it again! The happy hour wine was nice too! Might want to make a reservation; we were lucky and got seats at the bar, but this seems like a popular place and I can

Went to Beechers for a quick drink but ended up staying there the entire night. Our bartender Jamie was the best! He made us feel so welcomed and made me the best espresso martini I've ever had. Can't wait to comeback!
