I got the privilege of attending a tasting dinner for the new set menu for Bella Cosa in their fine dining floor which looks out into the river and overlooks Canary Wharf. The venue is a little bit tucked away near South Quay, but very worth it once you find it. It has plush red leather seats and marble flooring, with a vast wine selection at the corner of the room. The menu consists of an amuse bouche, starter, pasta, main and dessert with petit fours afterwards. The service was excellent and the food/wine pairings were fabulous. For each course, they do have a wine pairing recommendation which you should definitely heed if you're big on wine. The menu is not that different to what you'd expect from a Michelin star restaurant, with taste, texture and presentation all on point. Note that the pictures I added of the food are half the size (due to it being a tasting), so the regular meal should be sufficient for dinner should you come to dine. The food is Italian inspired, but I must admit I've never actually experienced Italian fine dining before, and this was superb. The mixtures of all the different flavors in each dish is quite special and very worth trying. It's such a difference from your everyday menu as you can see each course is curated to the detail. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who fancies a bit of a change from the hustle and bustle of Soho, Mayfair or Knightsbridge for fine dining. The bonus is that you have a view of the river whilst enjoying food that's of a very high standard. It's refreshing to have a more relaxed luxury environment whilst enjoying high quality food and excellent service for dinner
