Birdie G's Santa Monica Reviews
It was terrible from the start.
Not our first time dining there, and the aloof hostess placed us near the bathroom, where no one approached the table for 10 minutes. They were out of alcohol products and other assorted ingredients. Not a surprise to hear they are closing. The staff

Tuesday night, party of three.
The place wasn't full, but they stuck us at the bathroom/kitchen table. We moved. Service went downhill from there. Drinks? Had to order twice because they were out of basics. No matzo ball soup--though broth was literally on the stove. Cornbre

What an amazing restaurant; the burger was phenomenal - probably one of the best in the westside. Their chicken special (like chicken schnitzel) was good, and I would get it again. It's just not a show stopper the way it was advertised. Their ma

5) of a bagel Italian sausage raviolo = one (1) ravioli I was not aware of these bare-minimum portions before ordering. And honestly, it was such a turn-off that I wasn't even interested in ordering much else. How do you serve half of a bagel?

Love this place.
You have to get the rose pie. It's unlike anything I have ever eaten before
I first have to say, the service was unbeatable.
My server, Kelly T, was friendly and very helpful answering my millions of questions. She made great recommendations too! I sat right in front of the kitchen. It was really nice to see food being prepared right in front of me. I got the olives, to

Excellent Food, Service, and Atmosphere! Hidden gem with plenty of free street parking or Valet.
This restaurant deserves 5 stars, valet deserves 1.
We have been here a few times and both driven and parked on the street and taken ride share apps, and up until tonight have had no issues. The food is always amazing and the service is top notch. What prompted me to leave a review today was after

My second or third time here and lemmeeee tellll youuuu.
If you are a pescatarian like me pls think twice about coming here to eat. Or drink tbh, one of the worst extra/filthy/ dirty martinis I have ever had (also one olive as a garnish to a $18+ drink...?) . We split the bass, I love a buttery white fish.
atmosphere amazing.
my friend even hit his puff at one point and no one gave him shit. it was an accident but it was nice we didn't get scolded. -caesar salad BOMB. -Lamb was pretty solid. i'd give it a 7.5/10 -cornbread MID. maybe even below. the butter was great thou
I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Birdie G's.
It's located in more of an industrial area of Santa Monica, which was easy to find and we were able to find street parking. Granted we were there early. I really enjoyed the open atmosphere of the restaurant and the overall vibe. Our server greeted

Expensive but only mediocre food.. The service is bad and rude staff.. also be careful because when you get the check they charged you extra 4% for the health care of their staff.. isn't it the restaurant responsibility? Anyways not recommending to

Spent one hour here.
Arrived feeling great, ready for some cocktails and a snack at the bar. But left with a really bad stomach ache. The oil they used tonight was so bad or there was cross contamination. Service was off putting- I tried to get recommendations and have a

Too cool for school
I just think this place tries to hard to be cool it’s a bit over the top and also pretensious. I wish get cared about value as much as their attitude .

My favorite restaurant in Los Angeles, hands down.
I have severe celiac disease and cannot have anything gluten, even cross-contamination, and this restaurant is super accommodating and safe for me! I go specifically for the pickle chick, which is fried chicken in a pickled sauce. It's DELICIOUS and
Birdie G's exceeded my expectations.
Located in kind of a weird spot - upon entering you are transported to the cutest date spot, cool family dinner and more. The service was spot on. Not too aggressive and came to us at the perfect moments. Explained everything well and suggested aweso

Loved Birdie G's!!!!! The food was so good I can't wait to return. I came here with a girlfriend, we had a reservation but when we arrived our table wasn't ready. We went to the bar and ordered drinks. The bar was standing room only and very busy.
Fairly disastrous.
They staggered entrees as if we were all sharing, but they knew we weren't. So half the table was finished while the other half hadn't started. The food was mainly heavy comfort food, and the imaginative-sounding dishes that raised our hopes ended up

After 2 years we returned to Birdie G's for a Friday date night. It did not disappoint! Everything was phenomenal this time as well, just like 2 years ago. Kevin took wonderful care of us. He was not only knowledgeable about the dishes and cocktails
The setting is fine.
The staff were fine. But the actual menu was ridiculously limited and over the top expensive. $65 for a whole chicken?! Two Matzo dishes? I was with five other people and after one round of mediocre drinks, we all got up and left for another place
Birdie G’s
Not sure why I never came here before. I’ve been in Santa Monica for years and this was my first time. I wish I found this restaurant earlier. Very Santa Monica vibes with great service and food. We ordered the steak frites with au poivre sauce
Fantastic gem
What a find! Tucked away in a presumably former warehouse, this is a beautiful place with some incredibly delicious dishes that I have never had anywhere else. And a great and pretty reasonable wine list. And it was very kid friendly. We sat in the r
One of the better places in Santa Monica Just James Beard nominated
The spot great for casual night out. The Rock Fish is the star highly recommend. Cool place, best food we had in the area. The Rose petal pie reminded of jello dishes of the past
Better than TripAdvisor Reviews Suggested
We were taken here by friends when staying in the Santa Monica on a mid week evening. It’s in an odd industrial location, but once inside the industrial vibe is appealing. The menu is quite confusing, but once you realise that most of the plates ar
Comfort food meets eclectic
One of our foodie friends insisted that we visit one of his favorite restaurants - Birdie G's. He went a lot before the pandemic and was excited to come back. We quickly understood why Birdie G's is a fave. For our table of 4, we ordered the followi
Hit or miss on this outing.
The nuts were a good start and the matzo ball soup was delicious-- but not sure if I tasted any miso in it. That said the steak and fries we way off - fries were not crispy and the steak was very chewy-- even at a medium rare. I think they didn't cut

The food here is very weird.
Some might call it "hip" but I disagree. I was not a fan of any of the 5+ dishes I tried, and most of my group agreed. The butternut squash dish was particularly odd. I'm convinced it was not actually squash, but squash skin/rind. Tasted bi

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Birdie G's Santa Monica at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Birdie G's Santa Monica page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Birdie G's Santa Monica!
