We needed a change of pace from French food and found out
We needed a change of pace from French food and found out about this charming little Korean restaurant. It was a beautiful evening and we were able to score a nice table outdoors. All of the staff spoke English. We live in Manhattan and go to K-town often. This restaurant would hold its own there. We started off with excellent mandu and a surprisingly good tofu dish. We shared excellent bulgogi and bibimbop in a stone pot. We also ordered a side of very good kimchi. To my surprise, they served a mean affogato for dessert. The portions were sufficient and the prices were very reasonable. The only thong that was different from our other experiences with Korean food is that banchan were not included. Not a big deal. If you need a French food alternative, Mee is a great choice.

If there is one word, that would describe Mee, it would be "meh". It's not pre-se a place with bad food but also nothing to write home about. There is many other Korean places in Paris to check out before I'd return to meh ... excuse me, I meant Mee.

Food...absolutely delicious, service superb! We've eaten twice at Mee Bistro and cannot be more grateful! The wait staff and owner are wonderful. Kind and polite. We cannot wait to return to Paris to visit this fabulous restaurant again! Thank you from NC.

We made same day online reservations for 1900 tonight, 23 Nov. 2022. We arrived at 1855, 5 min. before opening. When we entered, the non-Korean male host said, "Sorry, we're closed; we don't open until 7" and ushered us out, locking the door behind us. My wife and I looked at each other and with our eyes said let's go to another restaurant. I guess they didn't want our business. Ciao. We cancelled our online reservation and walked across the street to an Italian restaurant, Pendino (recommended!).

My husband and I were looking for some comfort food after a rainy morning at the Louvre and found this spot just 10 mins walking distance away. It was busy, so you know it's going to be good. The waitresses were so sweet and attentive (not something we've really experienced in Paris). We ordered the scallion pancake and Korean fried chicken to start. Both were really good. The portion size is smaller than what we're used to in the US (but then again everything is supersized in the US). I REALLY enjoyed my kimchi jiggae. It was so comforting in the cold weather. We were stuffed by the time we finished. We have some pretty good Korean food in LA and I would put this up there with them. I 100% recommend coming here if you are in the area.
Be the first to ReplyWe really enjoyed our food and service.
We entered the restaurant and was pleasantly greeted by the hostess who was very welcoming and friendly. The waitress were also very attentive and were consistent in bring water. The food was flavorful and just perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant!

We asked the waitress for hot water and the owner stopped me on my way to the restroom informing that they'll need to charge us. I have never seen a restaurant who charges for hot water but we agreed to pay it anyways. After waiting for what seemed like a long time, we decided to leave so we could make to an appointment. We saw the owner sneering at us to our waitress, saying "So I guess they were offended." I feel like we were nothing but kind to them but the owner was unreasonably unfriendly and impolite.
Be the first to ReplyThis little place is full of flavors.
I have pretty high standards when it comes to Korean foods (Korean living in Los Angeles), but this little gem in the heart of Paris surpassed my expectations. I visited Mee during my trip to Europe in February 2020 and cannot wait for the pandemic to be over so I can go back.

If you are interested in Korean food, just skip the rest of this review and head straight to Mee. You will not be disappointed. In this restaurant you will find plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It carries a modern industrial decor. The service was great, which surprised me because I only saw 3 people serving the entire restaurant. Now, for the food. Here's the deal, I've been to Korea many times and have run the gamut on food. So, I have an idea of what one might expect from authentic Korean food. At Mee, I felt like I was invited into the chef's house and was treated to a very home style Korean meal. I mean, it seemed to me that a lot of love has gone into their food. Beyond that though, they scale it up with a very fine presentation. The menu is two pages, one of starters and one of mains. We had three starters - dumplings, Korean fried chicken, and the tartare. We also had three mains - Korean bbq, beef and vermicelli noodles, and the kimchi and pork stew. I am not going to break it down because each one was spectacular. The flavors were unreal - just the right amount of spice, zest, sweetness or sour. The cook on the meats was perfect - each one melted in the mouth. It was as it should be. The prices were below what I believe they could ask. This was a true bargain. One of the best meals I had in Paris but at a fraction of the cost. Like I said, if you like Asian food then look no further. You would be foolish not to try this one!

We came in without a reservation on a weekday and were sat without a problem. Despite the fact that we were friendly, quick-to-order and polite, our server was unbelievably cranky. She was pissy about taking our order in a noisy restaurant, as if this was my fault. I guess good help is hard to find...The other staff members were very welcoming and friendly. The rice bowls arrive very hot and your food cooks in front of you. Truly a fantastic meal!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a nice, cozy restaurant at the heart of Paris.
The food is great but it won't be the best Korean food you have had. The service is also good. The seating would be considered very tight by American standards and normal for most places in Paris.

We didnt want to wait in line next door and unexpectedly came here and was seated right away. Being Korean-American, we appreciate the korean-french taste which is subtle but definitely Korean authentic! We licked all the bowls clean: bibimbop, squid ohjingo dopbop, tofu kimchi soup (soondubu jigae), pajeon, kimchi mandu.

As we walked in the door, we weren't greeted though the maรฎtre d' noticed us. After she handled few customers then she asked for number of our party. Then we waited. Tables were available, but we watch as others walk in past us (with reservations, I believe). After some time, we were finally seated and had to wait to order. We ordered: (sweet pumpkin soup) = good (vegetable tempura) = good (seasoned and heated tofu) = good (kimchi fried rice) = edible but too oily (grilled mackerel) = fishy. Sent back after a small taste (bulgogi) = decent but light on seasoningWhen I sent the mackerel back, the owner asked with some agitation (understandably so) why I ordered the fish if I can't stand the fishiness. My only reply is that I like mackerel but without the fishiness. He stated we still had to pay for the dish (we didn't even think of not paying for it). To his credit he provided us with a free serving of kimchi.I am guessing the food at this place has become localized and is no longer truly authentic Korean. The level of service is definitely not Korean (Korean service well renowned).
Be the first to ReplyThis Korean restaurant was amazing.
My sons lived the Kimchi zigae and bibimbab. Here food is very delicious for our family. So my wife's headach was gone after lunch in mee.I have recognized that Korean food could match with wine.

Hidden jem. Stylish decor blended with Korean and French culture.

It was within walking distance to the Louvre and we were craving something Asian. ย It has a nice hip ambiance compare to most Asian restaurants. ย We were hoping for banchans but were disappointed nothing was offered. ย The dol sot bibimbop was okay but it skimped on meat and other toppings. ย The bulgolgi beef also lacked the punch we always seek and expect from our usual SF Bay Area standard. ย Perhaps the restaurant has to tone down the flavors to fit the clienteles.
