Excellent!!!!! Incredible wine /cocktail selection and the duck is beyond amazing ! Wow
Be the first to ReplyWhat an amazing dinner.
Dick and chicken weee good but the mushroom pasta and desert were amazing. Beautiful location and great wine selection. Expensive but worth a try!
Be the first to ReplyI had a great dinner here.
I liked the cocktails. The BDT fries were great. They were cut thick, and were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The duck was delicious and cooked well. The sauce that came with it went well with the duck. I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant. It had a modern, minimalistic vibe.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service.
Location is beautiful and close to hotels and other landmarks. Menu is great, but not too many options for non-meat eaters
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed.
Food not tasty at all. Poorly seasoned and flavored. Portion is too small. Price was too high and overvalued. Totally not worth it. Bad service, very hard to get the attention of our server. Server isn't very nice and patient. When we want to pay the bill, we asked if we can use Apple Pay, but his only response was "Apple pay was not working". Then he stood there staring at us with no apologies or other payment alternatives provided. Then there was awkward silence until we grab our card. Then when he brought back the check, he didn't thanked us or showed any courtesy. We went to grab Chick-fil-A right after we leave this restaurant, and it was so much better!!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible! Extremely slow service.
No one at the host to greet us upon entering at prime time lunch time, then put in the side area behind a pole we already felt tucked away and forgotten about. Ordered lunch that was a burger and salad and took 45 minutes to finally arrive. No apology. We said we needed to-go boxes and had to leave. They did comp the bill without asking, but told us to come back another time we had a little more time to sit. Unfortunately, we will not be back. There are too many great places around here.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was OK, but not incredible.
Service was good and the ambiance was nice. I wish they had more options and waiters knowledgeable in wine pairing with the meals.

Beautiful, light-filled space with excellent service and locally-sourced food. The brunch menu had a little of everything you could hope for. Fairly pricey but delicious.

I have been here several times over the years, mostly for dinner and brunch. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The service is top notch. Staff are great. The food is always so delicious. Most recently, we tried their special, Roast Duck, and it was divine. This place is great for special occasions, work-related gatherings, and simple lunches and dinners with family or friends, I recommend this restaurant to friends, family, and co workers.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic service, gorgeous location, and absolutely
Fantastic service, gorgeous location, and absolutely stunning modern design. This place is located in Park Hyatt, which is a 5-star luxury hotel in Washington, DC. I stayed a night here and tried their Blue Duck Tavern restaurant twice! This place is a Michelin-distinguished dining in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, DC. I came here for their breakfast and brunch on a Sunday morning. Their prices range between 20s-30s with relatively smaller but filling portion sizes. I had their duck confit in the morning with a green tea latte and an avocado toast at noon. The duck confit ($29) -- underwhelming. It came with a perfectly poached egg but the potato and duck were not spectacular for a Michelin restaurant. It had a succulent flavor with some oil and juices coating the bottom but the overall flavor was lacking. There's a biscuit on the side to add to an even more heartier feel to this dish. The avocado toast ($23) -- simple but pretty presentation. Arugula, poached egg, and avocado -- always a fantastic combination that is hard to mess up! I would definitely order this again.
Be the first to ReplyMy first review of 2024.
I came on a Thursday night at 7:30p. This beautiful restaurant is located inside the Park Hyatt Hotel. Our server's recommendation was to start with the bone marrow. It was severed with roasted garlic to smother over the bread. Delicious! Known for their duck obviously, we went with the whole duck. It was delicious. Tender and flavorful. I was surprised that the duck with severed with grits, pickled vegetables, and a fruit glaze in the middle. I also liked how they cut the duck up into pieces. It was more than enough for two people. I had a whole half to take home. For the sides we ordered mashed potatoes and broccolini. Everything was delicious! I'll be back.

We first came for a snack and drinks, then dinner, and finally breakfast the next morning. Each time service was superb and we left satisfied. The fries were hot and crispy. For dinner absolutely the best potato purรฉe! The bone marrow is a must have with the baked garlic! For breakfast the biscuit with my duck hash was the star. The hash was missing some crispy skin and a bit greasy. Surprisingly, the rosemary potatoes (aka crispy potatoes) was very good! The blueberry muffin from the pantry basket is the best I have ever had! The restaurant vibe was modern and the windows floor to ceiling were nice. I would definitely come back.

I've eaten here on multiple occasions and was very underwhelmed why it had a Michelin star. That chef left in 2000 and went their star. I stayed at the hotel this evening and was quite hesitant eating here again, but this time around I must say, I had a really good dining experience. We sat in the dining room with a good view of the open kitchen. It wasn't loud or too quiet and can have an easy conversation. Came with complimentary bread service. Our waiter was friendly enough and was very pleasant. They don't have a kids menu but they will create a dish for them. My girl had pasta with tomato sauce. The sauce wasn't too much so she poured in the grated cheese. It was good. The bone marrow slathered in roasted garlic with the toasted bread and spreads it with the marrow, wow, that was fantastic. The crab cakes and duck breast with confit was spot on! The crab cakes with that tarter type sauce and frisรฉe salad were so good. But the star had to been the duck breast. It was so moist and really good flavor. Duck confit was nice and crispy. Was too full for dessert and left the place feeling happy. It's not cheap place paying $310 for one starter, three entrees (one was kids entree), two sides (potato purรฉe was to die for!!), and three cocktails with tax and tip.
Be the first to ReplyWent to the Xmas dinner special.
Host was rude when we walked in & there was no coat check...I literally had to throw my winter coat on a random chair next to the table. Ambiance is horrible. It is in a hotel, but a Park Hyatt. The restaurant had bright white lights that were very harsh. We were seated directly next to another 2 top, very close. There were at least 10 open tables so patrons could've been spread out. The water pitcher was on the ledge directly behind me so any time a glass was refilled, they reached behind to grab it. The food was just ok. We each ordered the prime rib & it was very tough. We had to ask for steak knives. The waiter said you usually don't need steak knives for prime rib...well, we do or wouldn't be asking. Told us they were out of one of the desserts we ordered then magically found one. They were almost congealed & very little flavor. I expected much more from this very well known DC establishment. Not worth the money.

In 2018 I would've given this place 4 stars, but in the span of 5 years the prices have risen by a lot. From $25 to now $55 for corkage? Really ruins the vibe of trying to bring your own bottle to enjoy here. The restaurant location is still great and the hotel lobby is stunning -- large wood pieces, artwork everywhere, and great spotlights. The food quality hasn't really dropped off I think, but besides the Duck, I'm not sure if it's really worth eating anything else. I ordered the harissa potatoes, the fish with foam on it, roast chicken, and the duck, and felt that only the duck was worth eating.I think if they lower the corkage price I'll come again, but for now I don't think I can make a return to Blue Duck Tavern until they come up with more tasty dishes.
Be the first to ReplyAll food was delicious, servers were attentive.
The open kitchen concept is interesting and contributes to a nice atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyMid afternoon lunch so sat in lounge.
They have a light fare lounge menu. It's open and airy. Service was quick and food was brought quicker also. Wife had a Pandam Rum punch which was interesting to look at and full of complex flavors. I had a Harvey salad with a juicy chicken breast. Wife had a lump crab cake. It's a little pricey otherwise I would give 5 stars.

We celebrated our one year here and they helped make it the most special day. The ambiance is modern and casual upscale and the service was amazing. To top it off the food was amazing. We had the marrow as a starter followed by the braised beef and duck breast with the Brussel sprouts and cavatelli. Everything was superb and the portions were more than filling. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. They had a beautifully crisp outside and a creamy inside. The flavor was playfully savory and sweet from the pumpkinseed brittle. They definitely earned my business and I will be dining here again!
Be the first to ReplyWe ate dinner here with our two children.
We always bring things to occupy our kids during the wait (coloring stuff or books to read), and the staff seemed fine with their presence. But this is not a place for a kiddo who can't be easily occupied or who doesn't have an adult who can take them for a walk when things get rough, especially at dinner. We ate the halibut, a whole fish, the potato purรฉe (mashed potatoes), brussel sprouts, and kids' pasta and chicken with a generous side of fruit. The kids raved about the fruit! And both enjoyed their (simple but good) entrees. The adults enjoyed our dinner as well. We also tried their peanut chocolate cake with brown sugar ice cream, and the dark cherry blossom sorbet. So good! We spent a bit more than expected but it was worth it. Excellent food, service, and ambience. We weren't staying at this hotel, and I'm so glad we found it.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambiance, even better service.
The food was superb. Highly recommend the duck. The steak was also excellent!

this is a must hit up spot when in DC but be mindful of the $$$ status. you are not only paying for high quality that it's Michelin star stouts but as well as quantity. they did not skimp out on serving sizes! wow, what can I say...the bone marrow topped with garlic confit was a must have. the braised short rib was melting in your mouth as well as their behemoth fries with a spicy aioli that kicked!! the service was a little slow for my nyc standards but was happy to not be rushed out.

COCKROACH!!! I don't even know how to express the disgust I felt during our meal last night. As we sat down to eat and our drinks were delivered I turned around to see a GIANT cockroach crawling up the wall behind me. I'm taking like well fed, length of my cell phone cockroach. I jumped up and my husband sprung into action and crushed it crunching it with his napkin (sickening). I of course moved to not be sitting near that wall as one employee came over and said "oh it's dc, they're everywhere" and another said "oh it's just because the door was open earlier." WHAT?! I've lived in dc for over 7 years and I have never seen a cockroach in a restaurant ever! The best part of all of it was the manager came over and mentioned sending dessert (ha! The absolute least they could do!) for the experience. We ordered dessert at the end of the meal and they didn't comp it but sent over 2 desserts we didn't order and then tried to charge us for one!! Cockroach aside (and it's hard to put that aside) the food was incredibly lackluster. The halibut was wildly bland, the truffle pasta had a generous amount of truffles yet still had no taste, and the chocolate dessert they sent tasted like something you'd buy at Sams club.

This restaurant is located in a hotel and it is so worth trying. The ambiance is amazing. The service, food and drinks are amazing. The waiter was able to describe everything on the menu in great detail. He gave us recommendations that we LOVED. I had the crab cakes that melt in your mouth. The crispy Brussel sprouts look so deceiving because they are AMAZING. The potato wedges (My God) are so good and crispy. They are like wedges but fried and seasoned to perfection. I hate I didn't get a picture of the famous Apple Pie . We tried not to eat too much because we had dinner reservations some where else and just wanted a snack but clearly we went overboard a little. I definitely would recommend this place, and will surely be back.
Be the first to ReplyWent in for lunch.
As we were dining in one of the high end hotel and previous michelin, we expected service to be above average at least. When the food arrived, the guy from the kitchen dropped our food plate on our table so hard that you can literally hear the bang and people from next table turned their head towards us. Also, he did not even describe our dish and just walked away without speaking a single word. We ordered halibut and duck. Duck came out dry inside (how hard is it to mess up confit?) and halibut was nothing special to write about. The only dish worth mentioning was Brussel sprouts. Also at one point there was still food remaining in each plates which we were still working on, and one of the server came to take the plate away, and we had to stop him. Yes, he did not even ask "are you finished with your plate?" before touching our plate. Will not go back.
