The food was delicious.
We had the steak tar tar... the shrimp cocktail for apps.. very tasty. For our meal we split the filet mignon that had the crab meat on top ordered it medium rare and it was absolutely perfect. I loved the inside of the restaurant.. great atmosphere. Highly recommend

Pics say it all and we are frequent flyers here are BPG! To Honor my Mother of Mothers, we dined here for the umpteenth time. To me, the service even surpasses the food and ambiance. You are never rushed and you always feel special. After some 25 yrs of being a patron, I feel like family... The ones they like.
Be the first to ReplyWow is all I can say! Seafood is top notch in the CLE.
We started with the lobster bisque, flavorful and smooth. Then we had an opener of scallops that melt in your mouth. Wife had Surf and Turf, lobster tail and filet. I had Nag's Head Grouper. Holy moly! Lisa was amazing the entire experience and even brought us some crรจme brรปlรฉe for our anniversary! Valet parking makes it easy, but there's literally a lot caddy corner to the restaurant. 10/10 will be back. Also have to mention their assortment of unique and delicious cocktails.

Blue Pointe Grill was a nice restaurant my coworker and I stopped into after a work meeting because we were excited to try their happy hour menu. The happy hour is only served at the bar/bar area, and we were lucky enough to get a table in the corner. The happy hour menu was plentiful and we ended up getting a mix of items off the happy hour and normal menus. Between us we got the mussels, scallops, tuna tartare, Titanic wedge (with crab meat added), brussels sprouts, szechuan green beans, and lobster mashed potatoes. Overall the food was good and flavorful, no complaints. The only dish that was a little lackluster was the lobster mashed potatoes, which had very little lobster in it. We left feeling full and glad we stopped by, though we may not keep it high on our list based on the price. We were not completely blown away with the food for what we paid.

I have fond memories of this restaurant from when I lived in Cleveland. Now, coming back from Los Angeles to dine with my family, it was not at the level I remember. Ambiance and location are great. Our waitress was mature, helpful, and attentive. But the food...it was hit and miss, which is far below what anyone would expect at this restaurant and objectively at this price point. A few specifics: the sourdough was great. Raw oysters - excellent. My entrรฉe: shrimp and scallops sautee. The shrimp were small and had the consistency of grocery store shrimp - chewy and a bit dry. Seasoning didn't help. Scallops: smaller sea scallops (not the big plump upscale restaurant type) with a lot of salty seasoning. Three each for $43 plus a vegetable and potatoes. Please. I tasted the crab cakes: pretty solid. Caesar salad: average. Not an upscale restaurant version. Lobster Bolognese tasted good. My sister, who was also not impressed, told me to try Acqua di Dea, right across the street. Far better. Bottom line: Blue Point better up its game.

Our server gets a 5/5! She was amazing! However, the food is pretty mediocre. The Caesar salad was just okay, and the crab cakes were meh - underwhelmed. It should have more crab meat and less filling. Our main entrees were good. The signs said guests should be properly dressed but some guests sat in the main dining room with flip flops and shorts.
Be the first to ReplyNow this is my go to spot for the seafood and steak.
They have the best steak in the city for the price, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful service.
Be the first to ReplyFirst off, this place is so gorgeous.
The architecture and design were truly stunning. The service was also amazing. They had a vegetarian menu that included a singular vegan option. I got that option which was a fried tofu and roasted cauliflower over a cashew sauce. It was one of the best things I've eaten. So flavorful and healthy! I would return back in a heartbeat if I'm ever in Cleveland again!

.it's pricey so know that going in. The architecture is beautiful. I'm a novice and couldn't tell you what terns are...but it's really striking. The service was excellent. Jason our waiter was top notch. The front of house guy handled an order with my peanut allergy. On to the food. The lobster bisque was amazing. Thick..rich..just awesome. The Brussel sprouts were nicely charred..meaty and flavorful. My wife had a fish special...I believe Branzino? She loved it. I had the lobster bolognese. It was excellent. The pasta...the sauce..the lobster bits. I loved it. We're in town for a conference. If Blue Point was in Atlanta it would be regular. Thank you for a great night and great food. BTW my wife had a drink..I forgot the name...she loved that too!!

Great experience from atmosphere, back ground crooner tunes, terrific steaks and sides, wine selection, and friendly staff and servers.
Be the first to ReplyFound the food was average to slightly above average.
For the price, our party expected a much higher level of quality. Ambiance was great except the noise level was past the energetic level. It was too loud to talk amongst ourselves or enjoy ourselves. Service started out great. Some time between the apps and main course we got lost in the shuffle.

We have been to the Blue Point Grille many times before, and for the most part it has been pretty good. Tonight was so disappointing!! We went there to celebrate my husbands birthday. He had the surf and turf. The steak was very good, but the lobster tail was very buttery. He didn't even need to dip it in the butter. I had the swordfish and a side of brussel sprouts. Both were so salty, I couldn't even finish them! Our waiter took our order and we never saw him again till he brought a birthday dessert, for my husband, and the bill. We were never asked how our meal was. Water glasses were never refilled. Bread was never replenished . He did point out, however, that a "service charge" of 20% had been added to the bill. He told me it was for the workers there. I truly think he was an expecting a tip on top of that, for doing absolutely nothing. It was moderately busy and well staffed, so he had ample time for the tables he was supposed to be serving. I almost felt as though he knew, regardless of his performance, that he would be tipped. This, to me, is wrong!! Not sure if we'll ever go back!!!

This is a loud, tight place, with a great casual vibe and fantastic servers. The servers alone get 5 stars. And I mean everyone from the host, to the bartender and particularly the wait staff. They just know how to make it a wonderful experience with that little bit extra that makes you feel special. Food does not disappoint. Fish cooked perfectly is a challenge, but this kitchen cranks out perfectly cooked fish all night long. Swordfish ordered blackened is a superb and hearty dish. The halibut was delightfully paired with the best saffron curry sauce I've had. Excellent dish. The cornmeal gnocchi, a swing and a miss though. But the delicious meal made the forgettable dish easily forgotten. But to elevate a good meal to an excellent dining experience requires well paired wine. Which requires a decent wine list. This place has one of the worst wine lists of any seafood restaurant I have ever visited. The red wines are just ok, but they have no white wines robust enough to stand up to a hearty dish. They have a long list of summer patio pounders (Sav blanc) and a bunch of Chardonnay. Even their French whites run on the fruity side Not a single interesting white wine. If I'm going to spend a decent amount on a meal, you should have a decent wine to sell me. Server told me they used to have better wines but those days are long gone. I know whoever decided to stock Weller Full Proof and Wm. Larue Weller knows their wine. So hopefully they will add at least an Arneis and an Albariรฑo to the wine list. But for the wine list, this place deserves 5 stars. You cut corners selling unimpressive wines that interferes with the dining experience, you get 3 stars

We had the scallops for starter, swordfish and lobster bolognese for dinner. Everything was fantastic and perfectly cooked. Martinis were also delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and we loved the interior.

Great food, great atmosphere , no reservations but took a chance and was able to sit at the bar
Be the first to ReplyWe had a reservation for 7 on a Monday March 6th.
It was for my mothers 76th birthday. We had great service with Evelyn. Food was excellent. My problem came several days later when I saw I was billed $100 more than the total bill. I had added an additional $10 for good measure on an already 20% included gratuity. A call was made on Friday to clear it up. On Monday I still hadn't heard back from management and called again. On Wednesday after not hearing back I was forced to visit in person to clear it up. The manager found my original receipt and apologized for the over charge. I wrote $10 in the tip and totaled it. I couldn't understand how $10 turned into $100. He refunded me $90 extra charge and said sorry. For an almost $900 meal I was surprised nothing else was offered for the inconvenience they caused. One would think they would like to keep their customers happy. Needless to say I may be taking our business to other higher end seafood restaurants. Disappointed to say the least.
Be the first to ReplyFood was not terrific.
Grouper sandwich was so tough was barely edible.
Be the first to ReplyI believe this could be the best seafood in Cleveland.
Lobster bisque is amazing. You should definitely start your meal with it. I also enjoyed the wedge salad. Maryland crab cakes are my go to dinner my wife goes for the grouper.
Be the first to ReplyLove the atmosphere.
Very nice staff. Clean. The food is great and nice portions. One of our favorite restaurants in Cleveland.

Blue point is a great spot for a celebration dinner or if you're feeling fancy and want to eat at a nicer restaurant, had to pay 50$ for valet because of the OU Michigan hockey game (blah) but other than that service was great and food was good. Highly recommend the seafood tower service was good. Overall great experience

One of the best seafood in town!!! I love the classy yet comfortable atmosphere here. Came with a group of friends to enjoy the happy hour menu on a weekday (fyi you need to sit in high tops/ bar seats for the happy hour menu) and we loved all of the options available for food and drinks. The shrimp was large and oysters tasted so fresh! The risotto is a must get here!!!! Plenty of lobster on it too which isn't common. I love that you can order seafood cooked by itself with simple sides or fancier dishes depending on your taste. Such a great establishment for seafood!
Be the first to ReplyEverything was fine.
Service was great to start and then slowly tapered off. Food quality was just ok. The scallop app was very salty, and the tuna tartare was ehhh. Oysters were good. Everything else was ok (ordered the surf & turf as well as the swordfish). Dessert was good, crรจme brรปlรฉe and key lime tort.Personally? Not really worth the price imo.

Never in my life have I ever had food poisoning until tonight... avoid this place at all costs. I ordered the blue point heaven which had lobster, scallops and shrimp. The meal itself definitely was not worth what I paid for. The aftermath a few hours later was something I'll never forget. I will never be dining at this place again. Never been so sick from eating at a restaurant
