It was our first time here - a party of 7, to celebrate a birthday, and we really enjoyed our Saturday brunch! We had the crab beignets as an appetizer (enough crab and every one loved them) the coffees were a good size and taste was bold but not overpowering. Four of our party chose the Boulon breakfast (eggs, potatoes, bacon and brioche toast) which wasn't enough food for our 6'5" friend but he lived with it. One person had the brioche eggs benedict and they started off by moaning how delicious it was, between the crab cake and creole sauce. I had the French toast which had an amazingly tasty orange sauce. The toast was thinly sliced which I appreciated. My mother asked to have something off of the brunch menu; filet mignon with bearnaise sauce, which she really enjoyed. Service was great! Our waiter had a good number of tables to serve, yet he managed to be attentive and very helpful. We enjoyed the atmosphere, decor and it wasn't noisy on a Saturday morning. We will definitely return!

Food is okay, service at the bar was horrible the lady with the red hair was very rude. Ambiance was eh.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice atmosphere and service.
Great ambiance. Some of the food was great, but some were over salted and should have been better, especially a classic southern French dish at a French inspired restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely try the ceviche if it's available on your visit.
It was excellent! On prior visit the crab appetizers were amazing so I would get that again. On the last visit the scallop risotto was great. On this visit (Tuesday night) I got the mushroom rigatoni but it had way too much cream and it wasn't thoroughly mixed in and minimal tiny pieces of mushrooms. The rigatoni was cooked perfectly but I couldn't eat it as the cream was just too much. We also got the bread service and the bread was hard like day old bread. Quite disappointing. We decided to skip dessert on this visit even though we have previously enjoyed the profiteroles.

I was looking for a nice place to have dessert and drinks when I stumbled upon Boulon! I have come a couple times now because I love the vibes and the crème brûlée! I have only been on weekend nights, so it can be a bit noisy inside, but it's been such a great experience there! I love the high class feel and atmosphere but they still have a bar section and an array of individuals! My first time our server was very attentive, but my last trip they weren't as attentive. We were at the location pretty late, but the food was still great! Both times I came without a reservation and was seated immediately! My go to order is the crème brûlée, but the butter cake is a close second for dessert! I highly recommend their desserts! I hope to stop in soon for dinner!

food rankings - blueberry danish: 10/10 - chocolate zucchini muffin: 10/10 - chocolate chip cookie: 8.5/10 food commentary: BLUEBERRY DANISH SOO GOOD!!! wow. i tried to get the strawberry one but they said it was so popular that they are redesigning it. oh you know i will be back to get that danish... chocolate zucchini muffin was divine. very rich chocolate flavor and very moist! cookie: i enjoyed the cookie it has a very good flavor and it has salt on the top which is always important. the cookie was crumbley, very interesting texture. it fell apart when breaking it but it was also gooey in the middle. reminds me a lot of cornflake texture cookie if anyone understands. they heated up all the food for you! which makes everything taste so much better and a great touch. ambiance/parking: it's so beautiful inside. they also have cute little bear stir spoons!! we parked at publix across the street. they have indoor and outdoor seating.

A friend who lives in the area brought us to this spot after we had a mix up with our reservations at a different place. Most of us were not excited for this place as soon as we walked in due to the noise and crowd. That is why I took one star away. The food was on point. The onion soup was one of the best I ever had. The broth was rich, filled with beautifully caramelized onions and topped with a blend of baked cheeses. For main course I had a rigatoni with shrimp. The sauce was creamy and the shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will definitely be back but maybe not on a later weekend night.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful restaurant with incredible food and service.
Was there for a private event in their event room with a patio and it was great. The snapper was incredible. Tried the shrimp cocktail, crab puff thing, tuna tartar, and the charcuterie board for apps and it was all excellent.
Be the first to ReplyI had eaten at Boulon in December and it was excellent.
But I ate there last night and it was mediocre. The french bread, that you pay $5.00 for, which had been so excellent in December was stale and dry. And the duck that I loved in December just didn't seem fresh and seemed dry also. Very disappointed. And the escargot was wayyyy too rich and not particularly enjoyable. Not sure how the food can change so fast in just a few months - I presume new chefs, new managers?

Came in before the lightning game for some tinis & soup! We were running about 10 mins late to our reservation due to insane traffic before the game & had to call ahead to make sure they would hold our table. The soup was great & the martinis were solid!

Boulon Brasserie was delicious from start to finish! My fellow diners and I enjoyed the Blue Crab Beionets (which were definitely a highlight), Salmon Carpaccio, and Tuna Tartar as starters then got the Shrimp Beurre Blanc with the Pommes Frites and Roasted Wild Mushrooms. One of us got Le Burger and said it was amazing. It definitely looked phenomenal. Each dish was delicious and a beautiful presentation. We chose to order a bottle of Freemark Abbey Sauvignon for the table and everyone enjoyed it! It was bright and crisp with well balanced acidity. Our server was knowledgeable and personable. The atmosphere is upscale and vibrant. The floor to ceiling windows are a show stopper. Very excited to have Boulon in Channelside. It is a welcome addition to the Tampa food scene.
Be the first to ReplyJUST WOW.
Boulon is a beautiful high class restaurant in the heart of downtown Tampa. From the outside you can see the bar through the glass. I was truly impressed with the service and ambiance. The design of the restaurant is a true piece of art. For dinner I had the scallop risotto, as you can tell from the photo, Boulon has put their own spin on this, it's definitely not a traditional scallop Risotto and I am not upset about it. It was one of the best I ever had, it was very good and I highly recommend it. For dessert I had the bread pudding and again it was one of the best I have had in the Tampa area. It was served warm (yum) with Caramelized bananas. Boulon is a restaurant that you go to for the experience! Including the magical food journey they take you on!

I wasn't going to give this place 5 stars because I specifically went for the foie gras which is on the menu but they were all out. The food was so amazing & yummy though that I had to give them 5 stars. I had the burger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The service was also amazing.

I had a great time dining at Boulon! We had amazing service by Lennex, I DEFINITELY recommend you request her if you would like an in depth description of menu items and great wine pairings. She made our experience memorable. The ambiance here was great too, very classy and perfect for GNO. I would recommend trying the steak frites (the filet was one of the best quality meats I've had in tampa), the French martini, bread pudding, and crème brûlée! We will be back to try more!!
Be the first to ReplyFirst time here, celebrating my nephews birthday.
The ambiance is modern, hip and open. I absolutely loved the look to the restaurant. Our server, Alex was extremely professional and helpful. He gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. We got 2 bold fashions (their twist on a OF) which didn't stick out and their French martini, which was delicious but nothing I'd want to keep going back to drink. The food was delicious, we ordered bread/butter, French onion soup and oysters to start. Which all where delicious, though the bread could have been warmed and free but it was a whopping $6. After we finished our apps we waited 40mins for our entrees to come out. Our entrees where the stars of the show! They where delicious. I got the filet w/ fries that was sooooo good! It was cooked to perfection. I'd definitely go back for it, though the portions could be bigger. The Bouillabaisse was spot on. Lastly we had the Schnitzel, it was our first time having Schnitzel and we where impressed ! It was amazing. Once our tables got cleared and had happy tummy's, Alex brought over the check but didn't bring over a happy birthday celebration ( like a scoop of ice cream) which kinda sucks. But over all this restaurant has really good food, great ambiance, subpar drinks and nice servers!

Service was great food was amazing !! Definitely going back !! I will say on a Friday night it was a bit loud , but to be expected. Another than that , I truly enjoyed myself !

Food was absolutely amazing! It's French themed, and that's not my typical go to dish but everything we had was delicious! I recommend starting with the blue crab beinots along with the shrimp Nola! I legit could've had both as my main course. I was looking forward to the duck as my main dish but coming later in the evening it was already sold out however the coq au vin (chicken) was a great, juicy substitute. The scenery was beautiful! A cute date spot for sure, I'd recommend a reservation. Service was top tier, Tyler our waiter was the best! I'll be back - because I must try the duck!
Be the first to ReplyFirst, I LOVE the decor and beautifully executed details
First, I LOVE the decor and beautifully executed details inside this restaurant. Well done! Second, the food was really delicious! Third, my espresso martini, was so yummy! Fourth, the service was really great! It was opening weekend & very busy, but the staff didn't look stressed at all! I can't wait to come back! It's the perfect spot for a date night, a girls night, heck, I'd even dine here alone for that salmon carpaccio!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was great.
We had to wait almost an hour to be seated even though we had a reservation. Once seated and ordered, it took 45 minutes to get our food. There were four of us out to dinner for my daughter's bday. Her gnocchi was undercooked and inedible. Another dish, the risotto, was also undercooked with hard rice. My bouillabaisse was flavorful but cold. The fourth dish, Coq au vin was actually the only dish. For the price, it was not worth it. There are too many other restaurants in the area therefore none of us will ever go back to Boulon. Looks are deceiving! They have a lot of work to do!!!! And we're not picky eaters.
Be the first to ReplyFood and service were good.
the restaurant is a little slow (maybe due to just opening?) so prepare to spend some time here. we ordered the bouillabaisse and lobster pot pie-enjoyed both. my only complaint is that we ordered crème brûlée to go. in the restaurant it is served in a nice dish. the to-go dessert looks like they scraped it out of the dish and put it in a box. i would recommend maybe some aluminum dishes or something for to-go dessert. otherwise we had a great experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe sat in the bar area for drinks and dinner.
The blue crab beignets we sooo good and full of crab. We also enjoyed the bread service. I think bread should be complimentary at restaurants but this bread was not. I had a French martini and it was good. For dinner I had scallops and risotto and my friend had the Verte salad. The dressing was SO salty he couldn't even eat it. Even after returning and getting another with dressing on the side it was way too salty. We asked if the chef tasted it after the first return and our server replied "no". Chefs should always listen to guests and never send out the same product twice. I gave 5 stars because my scallops and the beignets were delicious. I'll be back for both!
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is absolute perfection.
The bread service was amazing. The almandine fish was so good. The crab beignets were amazing. We also had a salad that was very good. The ambiance is everything. So glad such a phenomenal concept has come to downtown!
Be the first to ReplyBoulon is a beeeautiful restaurant with floor to ceiling
Boulon is a beeeautiful restaurant with floor to ceiling windows you can look into from the streets of Channelside and be jealous of everyone inside wishing you were there instead. However, for a place with such a classy aesthetic, it is shockingly loud. I was there for just a party of 2 and we kept finding ourselves having to lean in and repeat things we were dating to each other multiple times in order to hear one another. We started off with the cocktail that was cognac and rum. I could've lived without the dehydrated blue curacao on the rim, but aside from that, this cocktail was spectacular and we ordered multiple. For my entree I ordered the Snapper Amandene because I wanted something on the lighter side. I wasn't expecting much but the chef who decided to top the snapper with chile is a genius. This was so flavorful and perfectly well done. Boulon made a great first impression for me and I wish I had made an attempt at some of the appetizers since none of the dessert options interested me at all.

Probably one of the best French cuisine restaurants I've been too. The atmosphere was electric! Jeff the owner is a great guy. Good is amazing. Definitely a plus!!
Be the first to ReplyInside is absolutely beautiful.
Food was phenomenal, especially the tomato bisque (a little kick of spice though), and the risotto was some of the best I've had. Service was impeccable, but the space near the bar can get very loud and crowded.
