Came here on a Thursday night with a group of 5 girls! It was very dark and moody in here which was very nice. Our table was right next to the front door. Our server was very nice I don't quite remember his name though. The food was delicious! For starters we got calamari, mussels, burrata, and one of the specials. All were very good. For my entree I shared I believe it was the porterhouse for 2. It was pretty good. It was really good with the steak sauce but by itself I wish there would be more flavor. We ended with a chocolate mousse and tiramisu. The tiramisu was to die for. I would highly recommend Brando's!
Food, Service and Ambiance were exceptional! Bravo.
Recommend the filet Mignon. But the Eggplant appetizer was just amazing. Dessert. The pistachio ice cream cake OMG!!
I visited Brando's a year ago.
Everything was perfect so I decided to come back. This time I have to say it was a big disappointment. We ordered the Octopus, Angoletti, Lolipop Lamb Chops, and Clams Oregenata for Appetizers. The octopus was terrible. It had a fishy smell to it and the red wine sauce was watery and not reduced properly. The lamb chops and other appetizers were good I didn't care for the Agnellotti. Main courses we ordered the KC steak, seafood fra Diablo, Parpadelle Toscana, and Veal Chop Parmigiana. The veal chop looked nothing like the picture with nice white mozzarella. It looked liked they reused a breaded veal chop and put it back in the oven. Pay attention to the picture I post and the actual picture of the Veal Chop Parmigiana on their website. The Pasta dishes both of them were dry and had no taste whatsoever except the pepper burning your tongue. The steak was good and cooked well. Dessert we had the pistachio ice cream cake which was delicious. Overall for the price you pay the restaurant doesn't warrant a return. It's very unfortunate because to find proper Italian food in NJ is very difficult. Consistency is key.

Food was very good but it was so loud! Early in-season dinner so it was packed. Would not suggest visiting if you want to have a conversation with your companions. But if you're not interested in atmosphere, the food is very good.

Delicious all the way through! Failed to take pics of apps but the Clams Oreganato and Purses were delicious. The meals were the stars of the night! Would certainly return here, everything was great! Strict on time seated but they are so quick with the food that you don't have to worry and you never feel rushed. Wonderful ambiance and service was spectacular!
Always delish.
.. BYOB so always a plus... Highly recommend... this is my parents all time fav spot
I've lived in the surrounding area over 10 years, always
I've lived in the surrounding area over 10 years, always hearing about how amazing Brando's was. I finally tried it yesterday and everyone was right, the food was incredible! At first, our bartender (Dolan, name on my receipt) was very nice and answered any question we had about the food. Apparently at one time this bartender had a bad night and was throwing glasses around, being aggressive. I only know that from overhearing customers around me. When I received my bill, I paid with a Debit card because using a Credit card meant I had to pay a 3.5% fee. When I had to sign and leave a tip, I noticed there was a $6.30 fee attached to the original total. When I asked the bartender about why the credit card fee was added to my debit card, immediately he got defensive, and his demeanor changed. "You used a card" I said, it was a debit card, you charged a credit card fee to my debit? "It has a visa logo" But it's a debit card. Then I said ok no problem, can you cancel the transaction and I will pay cash? He said, I can't cancel the transaction. Now, i've been in retail and involved in food service for my entire life. I know for a fact there is always a way to cancel a transaction. No sale is really ever final. Anyway, he comes over, grabs the receipt, visibly angry and says, "how much is the fee? I'll take it out of my pocket" Mind you, this isn't really about the $6.30. It's the fact that restaurants are charging a fee on debit cards which is illegal. When you're using your debit card, the money is coming out from your bank account immediately. Not the case when using a credit card. Then the bartender comes back and puts the six dollars on the bar and says I want my customers to be happy. I understand that he was frustrated and angry but if you wanted to make a point then he should've given me the $.30 as well. I left the $6 and gave him over a 20% tip because that's who I am. However, if this place is going to illegally charge your debit cards and keep the service fee for themselves, I will never come back to this place, and I will let my family and friends know as well. Thank for reading, I hope they can start doing the right thing and hire people who know how to give good customer service. https://www.nj.com/news/2021/10/can-stores-charge-a-fee-for-using-a-credit-or-debit-card.html https://usa.visa.com/dam/VCOM/download/merchants/surcharging-faq-by-merchants.pdf https://www.njcpa.org/article/2023/12/14/the-bewildering-world-of-cash-discounts-and-surcharging
Great steaks and Italian traditional food
This was a great restaurant experience with very delicious food. We have eaten here in the past, but brought two friends who are moving away to Florida to dinner. They could not stop raving about the appetizers and the main course. We’ve had everything from seafood to delicious steaks. The drinks were awesome as well. Service is how you would expect from a higher end restaurant. Prices are higher than average, but well worth it with the experience in flavorful food.

Came here for an anniversary dinner and really enjoyed the experience! We ordered the eggplant tower and beggar's purses as apps and they were both delicious and very generous portions. The table bread was also delicious with 3 great complimentary spreads (olive, whipped herb spread, and garlic olive oil). For entrees we ordered the pasta al forno and garganelli. They were both massive entree portions and had great flavor and a nice al dente bite to the pasta. Finished with the zeppoles special for dessert. Was also a solid dessert and a generous portion size. Overall, would recommend for a nice date night with great service and large portions!
Best Restaurant at the shore hands down! My Favorite.
Always amazing food and great service
Dinner in Asbury Park
My $175 Tomahawk steak ordered medium rare came out medium well. Sent it back and waited for 45 minutes for it to come back which never happened while the rest of the table ate their over cooked entress. Corrine the nasty hostess knows nothing about customer service. Horrible experience.
Great food and service!
The food at Brando’s is fantastic! It’s perfectly located on charming Main Street in Asbury Park, where you can have a great meal after shopping and walking downtown. Service at the bar was exceptional, Al, one of the bartenders makes a perfect Margarita. He also gave us wonderful recommendations for apps and dinner. The steak was phenomenal! Desserts are homemade as well. We will definitely be returning again real soon!
Amazing as Always!
Best restaurant in Asbury! The staple maintains quality, service and fine dining. We enjoyed delicious pre-dinner cocktails. We shared the calamari and then had amazing entrees. My husband had the bone in chop. Our waiter was a true professional while being very accommodating to our 8 year old to make sure she enjoy dinner as well. This is our top place to go for a nice dinner.
Brando’s is really good!!!
First visit to Brando’s and we will certainly return when next in town. Loved the menu and the staff were really polished. Delicious food!
Discrimination and Poor Customer Service
What an awful experience. Staff is nasty and refused to accommodate us. My husband has a handicap and we could not fit to sit at the table and the hostess says “ there is nothing I can do for you, you still have to sit there .” The female manager was no help and snippy. The staff made my husband feel really uncomfortable as we could see staff was happy that we just left. I don’t care how good the food may or may not be, very unprofessional. To treat people the way they did was ridiculous. With everything that is going on in our society, I cannot believe the owners allow such staff and
Excellent food
We hadn’t been to Brando’s in years. My husband suggested it to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary so off we went. It was busy for a Wednesday, always a good sign. Ambiance is still elegant but not stuffy. We had a gracious waiter and good service throughout the evening. As I see it, Brando’s is five stars on food and ambiance. Although the service was gracious, it did lack a few details ( wine service) and nuances to be five stars. Appetizers Crab & avocados with shrimp Gnocchi “three way” Entree Berkshire pork chop Halibut Oreganata Dessert Wild berry zabaglione Pistachio caramel ice cream cake

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
