Food: Serious A+ Service: A+ Ambiance: If you enjoy having brunch in an 80's dance club, with the music so loud that you need to yell at the your table mates to have a conversation, then this is the place for you. If you prefer to have brunch where you have no need for hearing protection and enjoy conversation with the party joining you, best to choose another spot.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food when the like is shorter.
not sure if it's worth waiting for over 45 minutes. But when it's a short wait time, it's great. the pancakes with fruit are to die for
Be the first to ReplyCasual brunch spot with the BEST FREAKING BISCUITS.
Seriously if you have to get something get the biscuits here because holy moly I was blown away. You can bedazzle it with some jam or butter or both but the biscuits were perfect! I would definitely come back here for the biscuits. Food wise portion is pretty big! Our table shared the pancake flight, chicken and pancakes, and salmon Benedict!

They are alllonly taking walk ins. My friend and I aimed for an 11 o clock brunch and the line was long. They were moving people off the line quickly though and we were seated in about 10 minutes. I assume a larger group would have to wait longer. They kindly brought us inside quickly and we sat at the bar. They have the menu QR on the counter and hooks for your items under. Everyone working here seemed pleasant and helpful. I liked the bartenders' vibe. Didn't catch his name but he was nice and easy going. The music was good and not too loud so I was still able to run my mouth with out others hearing me. My friend ordered the chicken and pancakes, mixed berry compote on the side with a mimosa. She enjoyed it. The pancake was really thick and dense. There was plenty of chicken and it looked juicy. I ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and home fries with a Bellini. Delicious home fries. The hollandaise sauce was really good and you can never go wrong with smoked salmon. The Bellini was a nice size glass and it was yummy. We noticed a mimosa flight with cute little glasses in really pretty colors. Definitely would like to try that outside on a warm spring day. Our orders came out extremely fast... like in 10 minutes. I guess that's how they are able to accommodate all the walking. We were out in like an hour. Good food, good service, and just an overall good vibe.

Went right before food service stopped on a Wednesday, and was still pretty full but people trickled out as we were served. Service was polite. I wasn't super hungry but was extremely pleasantly surprised by how amazing the biscuits with butter and jam were. Really hot, flaky, melt-in-your-mouth. I had an ok glass of wine as well. Was a little on the pricier side for what I saw on the menu, but after reading about how popular this place normally is, makes sense. The vibe inside is really interesting as well. I imagine this would be a really fun spot to have a group brunch if one could secure a reservation for 6+ people. Overall I enjoyed it and will likely return to try more of the menu!
Be the first to ReplyI love bubbys it's such a NYC staple.
I always get the fluffy pancakes and they've never disappointed.

Whenever I'm craving brunch, this is what I expect . Delicious pancakes. Egg bennys are to die for. Chicken apple sausage and grits make me feel warm inside. Everything is fresh, locally sourced and cooked perfectly.

I stopped by Bubby's while I was visiting NYC and I was pleasantly pleased with the comforting brunch menu and lively atmosphere. My partner ordered the Abe Lincoln Breakfast and I ordered my go-to, the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious and warmed my soul on a rainy, groggy day. The pancakes were extra THICK AND FLUFFY, and had a different consistency than your average pancake. Make sure you do not skimp out on the Buttermilk Biscuits! They are served hot and paired with salted butter and sweet jam. Make sure you make a reservation in advance as it is always bustling during brunch hours!

HOLY!! these pancakes are the best things I have tasted in a while. So huge, thick and dense, with the perfect amount of toppings for each bite. Warning...your eyes will be bigger than your stomach ;) I would eat these everyday if I could
Be the first to ReplyA super popular diner in Tribeca.
Definitely come early if you want to beat the line! I came in a group of 3 on a Saturday around 1:30pm, and there were lines for both the outdoor and indoor seating. It was raining that day, so we went for the outdoor seating line since it was a lot shorter (around 10 people, but a couple of them left the line). We waited for around 15 minutes and were promptly seated. I tried their Abe Lincoln breakfast, and it was exactly what I wanted - warm, filling, and no nonsense. My friends enjoyed their food as well, and we had a great time here catching up despite being a little cold due to the rain. Side note, their coffee mugs are so cute. This place is perfect if you've been craving some fresh and simple comfort food!

Went on a Sunday right at prime brunch time with a friend after pilates and it had a line. My friend didnt really want to wait but I had a feeling we might be able to get a table fast because it was us 2 only and I was correct! Most people came in a group of 3-4. We got drinks, our own mains and James beard nutella/berries pancakes to share. I was hella stuffed. Everything tasted delicious and I wish I was able to stuff all the pancakes down. Super fluffy and delicious! Green eggs and ham was savory too and balanced the sweetness of the pancakes. I'm already wanting to go back and try the other food on the menu!!
Be the first to ReplyTHE best breakfast in all of NYC hands down.
i've always said i don't like english muffins. theirs changed my mind. the pancakes are insane. the biscuits are UNREAL. nowhere better. i'm in love.
Be the first to ReplyFood was great along with the portion sizes.
Only complaint was the coffee being very strong for my liking. However I didn't get the chance to try their famous pancakes or pastries but it is a lovely place for brunch! I'm

Came on a Saturday for brunch and waited for about an hour for a table for 2. I tried:+ Pancake Flight - three pancakes with caramelized banana & toasted walnuts, blueberry compote, nutella, mixed berries - best topping was the mixed berries + Hot Chicken Sandwich - sandwich was only okay but the fries were awesome+ Flaky Buttermilk Biscuits with Vermont creamery butter, homemade jam - excellent, prob the best thing I ate+ Michigan Sour Cherry pie slice (got it to go) - goodYou can definitely get better fried chicken elsewhere, and Clinton St does a superior pancake, so overall I would rate it as average. I wouldn't do the wait again. Service was meh. 3.5 stars.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite brunch spots in the city.
Was given this recommendation by a local several years ago and I always find time to come back when I'm in town! Everything is so good, you can't make a wrong choice!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was good but rather overpriced.
$23 for 3 pancakes, although tasty, was a bit much. The chicken on the chicken and pancakes had good flavor but the thigh could have been cooked a little longer. Our oldest daughter got the turkey sandwich and loved it. She took half to go and it did smell really good when she ate it later. Our server was great but the hostess needs a little bit of customer service training. The set up of the restaurant is cute and has great character and the available for purchase coffee cups are adorable. Overall it was a good visit but sticker shock was in place with this being the first stop in NYC.

It's SUPER HARD TO GET IN this amazing brunch place so plan ahead and get ready to line up (but it's worth it!!!!) We loved our Bubby's experience

Deviled eggs were amazing- great flavor! The fried chicken-excellent. Not a fan of the double bubby burger. Service was okay

Our server was wonderful and food is fantastic! Only reason why it's being rated a 1 is because my first interaction with a hostess was rude and frankly aggressive. I tried opening up the door but for some reason it wouldn't allow me to pull it. The hostess proceeds to yell and say" JUST PUSH IT ALREADY". As they seem I'm clearly struggling with the door another staff member shoves it open and hits me in the face. This hostess and staff member were rude from the beginning. That should not be the way you greet people. Otherwise, like I said our server whom I didn't catch her name was fantastic.
Be the first to ReplyCame here on a Thursday night for dinner with my parents.
Worth noting that my mom is temporarily in a wheelchair and the staff was very accommodating in helping her get inside - they have a ramp for these needs that they put down over the initial step, and can open both doors for easier maneuvering. I'd recommend someone going ahead to let the team know though, because it does take a few minutes to get things set up and wheelchair accessible. The food and service were both very good - we had the deviled eggs and mac & cheese balls as starters, which I thought were decent but nothing crazy. Our entrees were delicious - I had a winter grain bowl and salmon, and my parents split the Cobb salad and the pulled pork sandwich. The line for brunch is always around the block because they don't take reservations for it, and I'm not sure I'd wait that long for a chance to eat here, but it is definitely worth visiting if you come for dinner (which they DO take reservations for).
Be the first to ReplyI obviously wanted to come and try the famous pancakes here.
We got the pancake flight which I recommend so you can try all flavors, and they're pretty big so definitely share with someone. The pancakes tasted good, but it was nothing life changing. No matter when you go there will probably be a line to get seated but the staff moves you along pretty quickly as there is indoor & double outdoor seating (open & heated). Aesthetic of the restaurant is average, it's cute and all but nothing super extra.
Be the first to ReplyPancakes are phenomenal.
Drinks are delish as well. Highly recommend this spot. I go there every time I am in New York.

This place is SUPER packed for brunch if you go on a weekend. I went around 10:30am on a Sunday as a party of 2 and was able to get seated right away at the bar, but otherwise, the line is extremely long so make sure to go early! Once you get inside, the music is pounding, the vibe is upbeat, and it's an enjoyable way to start off your weekend brunch. I ordered the fluffy pancakes with blueberry compote and a side of bacon. The pancake dish was a pretty large portion and pancakes were fluffy, true to its concept, but there was a bit too doughy area more towards the center. The bacon was well cooked with crispy edges and soft inner pieces. Overall a great brunch experience.
Be the first to ReplyI LOVE Bubby's! The biscuits are a must.
It is the quintessential NY spot to have a good bite. Go early to ensure you can get a table if you don't have a reservation. Great for people watching. Even if you're full, make room for dessert :)

This is a roomy restaurant that is extremely popular for lunch. When we arrived at noon without reservations on a week day, there was a 20-30 minute wait for tables. However, we were lucky enough to grab seats at the bar and were able to sit right away. To eat, I had the grain bowl. They didn't have any vegetarian protein options but you could add chicken or salmon, if desired. The bowl was light and tasty. It included a generous helping of feta and avocado. The chickpeas were crunchy and well-seasoned. Despite being busy, service was fast. I definitely recommend making a reservation if trying to dine during peak hours.
