Cheap pokies pub
This is very much a casino pub, mostly pokies targeted at Chinese and the whole place is hidden from the road behind frosted glass. Still, it has a couple of comfortable bars, a big tv, friendly staff and cheap drinks - $6.10 for Reschs. The food is only slightly cheaper than other pubs, probably not worth bothering.

Paid $81 for a bottle of wine , a very bland & dry garlic pizza and 2 substandard burgers. The โvegetarianโ burger tasted like a patty found at Coles in the Vegan section . Really unimpressed. Additionally I think when you ask about a particular wine in a Pub Bistro, they should have an idea about what theyโre selling . No help there whatsoever . So much better food up the road in Dulwich Hill.

This place has just re-opened after a major refurbishment. I came with a group for the Tuesday trivia night, and we ordered a range of meals. I ordered the lamb osso bucco with mashed potato and steamed vegetables, which was really tasty, the meat was tender and the sauce was delicious. Very filling. We also ordered a platter with some cold cuts of meat and some garlic flatbread style pizza and some salads, it was decent. Other meals ordered were a garlic prawn pizza, and fish and chips. Everyone seemed satisfied. In terms of pub meals, I couldn't fault it really. The beer selection is fairly standard with mostly lagers, and they have a full bar with various spirits and bottles of wine. Staff were friendly and attentive. There is a bistro area with lots of sit down tables, although staff will hand your meal to you in the bar area also, which has a few large sports screens and a betting area if that's your sort of thing.
