Spent an afternoon with a friend visiting town.
Such a beautiful space and the view alone is worth going. Staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful with suggestions. I brought my ten month old and they catered to his needs as well. Food not only came out plated beautifully, but tasted amazing. Won't be my last visit here.

I could not have been more disappointed with this establishment. The food is INSANELY overpriced for horrible dishes, the lobster pasta was $56 and had maybe 3 smallPieces of lobster. The fried calamari was so fishy, the portions were so small for the price. I could make this entire meal with my eyes closed at home better. The prices do not match the quality of the food, this place is definitely a tourist trap DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

A beautiful, elegant, and classy Italian house with a breathtaking view of the Manhattan bridge. service was non-interruptive yet attentive and pleasant. We got the: Pizza: beautiful airy and thin crust beautifully flavored. Special chicken: brick roasted tender and juicy. Paired with potatoes that were a bit hard and flavorless. But overall very yummy!
Be the first to ReplyIt's a beautiful restaurant throughout.
But unfortunately the service is not always there. While the waiters are kind, fast, and informative, the process to getting to your table can be a challenge. I twice now have made reservations days in advance and then upon arrive have to wait up to 30 min for my table. This past Friday I had dinner reservations for my boyfriend's birthday and I specifically requested a table by the windows for the view. Upon arriving the hostess let me know that if we waited 20 minutes she could make that happen no problem. About 30 minutes passed and then a different host came and took us to a loud table in the middle of the restaurant. When I asked about what happened to the table they were working on they said it wasn't available. I understand that these things happen but I would have preferred not to wait the extra half hour for a table I promised. Now don't get me wrong the food really is worth it, just unfortunately the night tends to start off on the wrong food service wise. ALSO! As someone who is dairy free I have to note that they have wonderful plant based options and flexibility with the menu to fit dietary needs so that's GREAT!
Be the first to ReplyWe had a great experience overall.
The service was knowledgeable and attentive from the moment we sat down on our table until the time we finished with our dinner. We have been at this restaurant several times before. Location, ambiance and above all the food are the main reasons. Although this time the pizza was not that crispy like other times that we had it. We started with truffle honey ricotta, carpaccio and beef tartare and we continued with black truffle pizza and bucatini cacophony e Pepe black truffle. The restaurant offers a great experience overall either you want to go for a date or dine out with your friends.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a tourist trap, and rightfully so.
You cant pass up the views. As a local, I have these views from my terrace. What I don't have is a full bar. Terrible service, and snotty attitudes at the front. Our bartender was apparently injured, but that was no reason to cater to people that came in after us. Can't even comment on the food, because we walked out. Too bad you just lost local business, but something tells me you don't even give a toss.

This review is 100% about the service at the front entrance, and the bar. I can't comment on the drinks or the food, because we never got any! Walking in, when we asked if there was room at the bar, the 'why are you bothering to talk to us' twins at the entrance said we can check but when they just checked there we're no seats. So we checked, bar was barely half full. We sat down and proceeded to get ignored for a few minutes. Watching one bartender run about like an erratic and nervous child. Not really helping any customers, just getting himself worked up in a tizzy. The couple to our right had been waiting for their drinks for a bit, as we hear them tell nervous bartender multiple times. They had to repeat the order to him again, and again... as he kept forgetting a latte and 1 lemon wedge for the persons water.. After a few minute we finally got a menu, The other bartender stayed to the same 6 seats at one end of the bar, never bothering to look our way, while nervous bartender continued doing laps around the bar bumping in to things. Once we finally got his attention he said he'd be right back to take our order.... Several minutes later, while he was still engaged in deep conversation at the end of the bar, we gave up and left.
Be the first to ReplyHad dinner with all my friends.
We booked reservations for 6:45pm and we asked for a window seat for the view. And we got seated by the window! I love that they accommodated our request. It's very dim in there so i was struggling to see the menu haha. We ordered the calamari and wood oven mozzarella tomato basil pizza for starters. Then we all ordered our own entrees like the bolognese and salmon. The wait wasn't too long. The pizza and calamari was so good!! Wood oven pizza just hits different the crust was amazing. My friend ordered a giant meat thing with a knife on it. The bill was 458$ after tip. I recommend this place if you're looking for a fancy night out!

We absolutely loved the entire experience! The restaurant was beautiful, the food was amazing, but our waitress Tara is what made the whole experience a 10/10. She was super sweet, very informative, and answered every question we had with no hesitation. The next time we are back in New York, we know exactly what restaurant to go to and who to ask for.
Be the first to ReplyThe place was nice.
However, the drinks took awhile to be served and it was very expensive for what we got. We don't mind spending the money if we got our money's worth. The food was good but not worth the money. ($400 with tip! For just for a couple. ) Our bar tab was about $160 which I understand but the difference was not worth it for the amount of food we got. Also, the espresso was $7.50! It wasn't even that good. We have been to many other restaurants and spent the same amount but it was worth it. If you want to try this place, the food was good but way too expensive for what you get. Appetizers Grilled octopus, lemon, capers, olives Whipped ricotta, truffle honey, crostini Entrees Cavatelli lamb ragu, fava beansBranzino, spinach, tomato, peppers, olives DessertProfiteroles & sea salt caramel gelato

If you are a person of mixed ethnicity with a person who happens to be with a grey-haired white man who is not Anderson Cooper, expect your reservations to be ignored while parties of the same size with later reservations are seated ahead of you and the hostess pretends you don't exist. She will wave a hand in the general direction of the waiters' station and let you stand there awkwardly until you are forced to check in with her again, at which time she will act like you're just now checking in. Finally you will be seated next to the bathroom and forgotten for a while longer. When you decide that though you are now starving, you'd still rather not give this restaurant your money for the privilege of dining by the loo and you go to leave, they will blithely ask, "Changed your mind?" Yes, shockingly, we did change our mind.
Be the first to ReplyLast weekend was the first time back to Cecconi's.
ย It's good to know that Cecconi hasn't missed a beat; their food and wine is just as tasty as in the past. ย The view is the best in the DUMBO area! ย Our hearts went out to the wait staff wearing those ย heavy double-breasted, cream-color dinner jackets while serving lunch in 90 degree weather!! ย Really, I think wearing a vest during lunch time ย would be more appropriate.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was pretty good, although pricey.
But the views of the Manhattan bridge and the river were what made Cecconi's special- try to sit outside if you can, because it was dark inside and not as charming. I gave 4 stars because we tried to amend the reservation by calling several times and even sending a couple of emails, but the restaurant never got back to us. In the end, the table we were seated at had 2 extra spots for the 2 guests we wanted to add, but sadly it was too late to have them join us. Overall a good experience, would recommend at least once. Make reservations in advance, they fill up fast!

They do not answer their phone nor respond to emails- disappointed. ย A more efficient system needs to be put in place to improve their customer service.

It was very breathtaking. The restaurant is gorgeous decorated and the views of Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge are incredible. The misstep is attentiveness. The server were no where to be found. It extended the experience to a lot longer than expected. The food was really good however. Eggplant Parmigiana was on point - cheesy, great flavor and hearty.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing place for birthdays and celebrations especially.
Beautiful view, amazing food. Recently had the whipped ricotta with honey and it blew my mind!
Be the first to ReplyThe location is wonderful, under the Brooklyn Bridge
The location is wonderful, under the Brooklyn Bridge (DUMBO), we were seated outside, a fantastic place to people watch. We were there for Brunch, and started with the Mozzarella Burrata and Kale salad .I had the eggs Benedict, my wife had the Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes, and we shared a Buffalo Margarita Pizza , with our daughters .The lemon sorbet and Profiteroles salted Carmel sorbet were a fitting ending to our meal.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is stunning.
Ask for a seat outside or by the window for an unobstructed view of the nyc skyline and bridges. I came here for a late ย lunch and it was very busy but it wasn't hard to get a reservation as the space is fairly large. We were seated immediately despite arriving early to our reservation and our waiters were very welcoming. CROWD : It was a healthy mix of 20 somethings - early 40's ( assuming ages of course ) Mostly a younger group of people in attendance. ATMOSPHERE : Upscale, yet casual. Not pretentious at all but I would consider it to be a "fancy" restaurant. Think jeans and heels kind of vibe. FOOD : To be honest, it was just okay. The food wasn't bad but nothing blew my mind either. It felt very overpriced to be so lackluster and basic. However it was all cooked well and arrived hot to the table. My favorite dish was the zucchini fritti. The zucchini fries were light, crispy, not greasy at all and kind of addicting with the dipping sauce. I also tried the truffle, cacio e pepe pasta and wish I chose differently. The pasta was dry and boring. It definitely looked better than it tasted. DRINK : Very expensive, the menu read $18 but we were charged $21 for each drink. Was it worth it? no, but they were pretty! Don't expect a buzz, its mostly theatrics. $: The bill was about $250 for two people. (4) drinks, an app and entree each, and bottled water.

We originally reserved this place for the view, but they view is actually better at Pebble beach or at the top of time out market. Not really worth the price, in my opinion.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, classy with gorgeous views.
Bartenders were phenomenal! ย We got some Pizza, carpaccio and nice bottle of wine :)
