COYA Angel Court London Reviews from The Last Year
Over priced!
Drinks were good, servers/waiters were lovely, food was tasty but utterly over priced! I have eaten in many 1*-3* restaurants and paid top prices but even then that was still value for money based on what you got, unfortunately COYA was just a high price tag. £45 for 3 lamb chops, no sides, that was extra.
Fantastic
It’s pricey but the atmosphere , food and wine are well worth it . Stunning well flavoured dishes especially the octopus and sea bass . Wine was very good with. A huge range . We enjoyed a Malbec and a Pinot noir. Gluten free no issues.
Amazing chef selection menu that my girlfriend and I
Amazing chef selection menu that my girlfriend and I enjoyed. Great ambiance and service during our meal! My first time enjoying this type of food!
Ride staff and overpriced
Terribly rude bar staff, cocktails Half full and so expensive - around £20 for a cocktail. It came and it looked half drunk. We mentioned this to the bar staff and all three of them were so rude
Enjoyng , City of London
We had the pleasure of visiting the Coya restaurant in the City of London, impressed by its excellent reputation for location and delicious food. However, we must share our experience, which was truly mixed. The location and food were the highlights of the evening, offering us 11 appetizers, three main courses, and three desserts of remarkable quality. The drinks, including a bottle of champagne and a bottle of high-quality red wine, perfectly complemented this exceptional culinary experience. However, it should be noted that the service left something to be desired. The staff unexpectedly exerted pressure to consume quickly, and when we reached dessert, we were informed that our table was to be occupied by other guests, and we had to move to the bar. This unexpected situation negatively affected the initially pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. In conclusion, the food and atmosphere at Coya certainly deserve praise, but the incorrect service added a touch of bitterness to our experience. We hope this review provides a balanced perspective for other customers regarding the positive and negative aspects of their visit to this restaurant.
This place is absolutely beautiful! The food, the cocktails
This place is absolutely beautiful! The food, the cocktails and the service is outstanding! The DJ plays great music and it is a whole vibe!! Everything we hoped it would be, coming to London for the first time from the U.S. we were not sure what to expect and we were so happy with the entire experience!! I highly recommend!!
Great
Excellent restaurant. Varied menu. Fresh and refined dishes. Friendly and welcoming service. Trendy, subdued and slightly noisy atmosphere. Modern decor. Expensive but good value for money. Would recommend.
Not what we expected
Coya city was incredibly disappointing. We went on a Friday evening for a special occasion and the service was shocking. From the waitress who told me £15 skewers were tiny and scoffed at the food order, to the multiple asks if we wanted a drink when already ordered, it was uncoordinated. The final bill of over £350 for drinks, 2 mains and selection of starters was the icing on the cake, with 15% added on for good measure. Not the experience we were looking for! It’s a shame since the final fish course we had was really delicious.
Excellent experience
Excellent dinner, food and service - exceptional flavours and food. We had the tasting menu and it was very well balanced. All in all excellent, reasonably priced.
My Perfect Birthday Dinner! ;0)
My Best Friend took me there for my birthday dinner on the 14th of July this year. Everything was amazing! Fabulous food. Super yummy their famous Pisco. Super attentive waitress. Fantastic music mixed by their professional DJ. Also at the end of the meal super thoughtful restaurant staff brought me a little desert with a birthday candle to make a birthday wish! I found it very thoughtful and caring! Thank you! ;0) X
Amazing dinner and great staff
Brought here the team for dinner and couldn’t have made a better decision: great atmosphere, amazing food and the most attentive and friendliest service one could ask for! The ceviche selection is to die for, as well as their impressive range of Pisco sour. Highly recommended!
Good but not amazing.
Food was good but felt a bit rushed. Like as soon as we took our last bite of anything they took the plate/bowl away. Also very Miami vibe in terms of the oontz oontz house music played by a live DJ all night.
Optional Service Charge that is not Optional
I had a reservation yesterday evening at 5:30pm for 2. I noticed this morning there was a £25 ‘optional service charge’ INCLUDED in the bill. Not separated after the total of the food & drinks we had consumed but added to the bill and included in the final figure. The service we received from the waiting staff was nothing short of mediocre; in fact at one point we were irritated at the number of times our conversation was interrupted. I was flabbergasted to see that when payment was due the waiting staff came over to the table and proceeded to take a contactless payment without any interaction from me- since when was this acceptable? I would warn anyone who attends this restaurant to be careful, the underhanded practices they have adopted are nothing short of unacceptable. I visited the restaurant on many occasions before with my husband and friends and never felt so robbed!!!! Being allowed to have the table for 2 hours is a crime in itself. We had to go for dessert elsewhere- this could only happen in London. The restaurant should be ashamed. The food was ok not amazing like it once was.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
