Seriously, food in a garbage bag?
Never been but thought we would try it. Not for us. Confusing menu, pricing for the seafood was on the backside of the napkin dispenser. OK a little strange, but it turns out that was just the beginning. Ordered, waited and were stunned when food arrived in a clear plastic bag. Seafood jumbled in with corn, potatoes , and bag of sticky, oily liquid. Dig into hot food with your fingers and eat with your hands. Throw crab shells, and shrimp shells in bucket and try not to let your drink slip out of your hand. Over seasoned so everything tasted the same. Bagged it back up, took it home, rinsed off the mess in a colander. Made some cocktail sauce for the shrimp, and melted butter for the crab. Wasn’t too bad.

When we walked in was met with one waitress eating behind the desk and then after several minutes finally met by a host with an attitude and of course we couldn’t be sat down because our fifth wasn’t quit there yet 10 minutes out (ok we can deal with that) so we wait being told can you move over there not you can use these seats over here to wait just pretty much move then the fifth shows up and same guy asks how many I say 5 he says oh yea then again not excuse me so he can get to menus but stood back and looked like we should know what he’s thinking then he grabs menus and takes off we all standing there like ok another person say he’s got you table there I hate to say this but people make a business work and this don’t work in the industry for 35 years and if it was my place there would have been some people looking for jobs I know it’s hard now but having to close the doors due to this is even worse I would work 24/7 to change this thank god the server was amazing and on top of her game I would never go back but if I knew that server was working anywhere I would take myself and my family to where ever she was except this place. I know one persons review is nothing and a lot are people that are mad going in but being honest I am very tolerant to short staffed not enough product broken equipment and many other thing that happen in the industry but rude and none caring people there just there because they have to be with a bad attitude is not acceptable especially charging 300-400 for a family to eat. In my opinion that host should be hello how are you tonight, ok we are not allowed to seat you till you all are here, ok she’s here let me get you guy a table and can I get you some water or sodas we’ll you wait for the waitress she be here as soon as she can but she’s pretty busy right now and can I help with anything please just let me know One last thing the waitress that was eating behind the host station had customers that were waiting on drinks and butter to go with their food and she did not move the entire time we waited for our 5, this business has been over run with (most) everyone that works there and all their friends sitting at the bar and coming in and out instead of trying to make a comfortable environment for the customers sad to see great idea great location management will be the downfall I asked for the manager and waited 20 minutes after my meal and never was approached by anyone

Shrimps were overcooked! Meat comes with it as you peel. Pricey but tasty huge King Crab Legs. Green Mussels were soft & chewy. Not enough corn nor sausage. They’re only good for one person.

Service was good and the food was plentiful in my order. I did miss the boiled egg, the shrimp was a little overcooked and the price was a bit expensive. Also the lemon pepper seasoning was not what I expected, but did contain a lemon wedge and lots of pepper. Just to note that the Covid safety protocols were enforced.
Be the first to ReplyGood seafood, but no corn or oysters when we visited.
Your seafood comes in a plastic bag and this is kind of unique, but it is a little overpriced. There was a list posted outside of all the items that the restaurant didn't have. An interesting experience, but there was no bread or anything else to make the meal appealing.

Crackin’ Crab now has a restaurant’ in Santa Fe too. The boiled shrimp and the soft shell crab are wonderful. Can’t wait to go back and try more selections. A full bar will soon be added in The Santa Fe venue.

For the price I paid & the amount of food got...worth it! The dish I had is more than enough of food for 2... I had enough left over to take home for another meal. The cast your meal was 2 lbs of crab, 2 lbs of shrimp &1 lbs of scallops. The spiciness of the dish was spot on & tasted of Cajun country

I went last night and I'm returning tonight again, very good food, and just had dinner again and it was phenomenal

Food was okay. In the mixed bag that was meant to be shared, there was only one corn and one potato. The service was extremely slow. I would not go back.

I visit this location every time I'm in town which is typically once a month. It is consistently good, and I have always had a good experience. It's a typical seafood boil type of restaurant that are starting to get popular in a lot of places. And yes, you do get your food in a plastic bag, but you do at any location like this that I've been to, and you eat with your hands so it can be messy. You can ask for gloves to keep your hands clean. Pricing is very good for this type of restaurant, but it can be a bit pricey depending on what you order. I typically get the raw blue point oysters as an app, and 2 pounds of seafood, snow crab and either mussels, crawfish, or scallops. All very good portions. The scallops are huge and they are fantastic. The flavors they have with their seasoning are great. I would highly recommend dining here if you love cajun style seafood.

A lot of staff, but so-so services. A bad smell and overpriced seafood. Better seafood boils in town. We won't be back and do not recommend. Awkward atmosphere.
