5/5 by 👻 @Stan B. on 09/14/2025

When we arrived at 6:15 pm, the place was already quite lively, and we were immediately seated next to windows facing the front patio and elegant Presidio grounds. As recommended in a 2023 SF Chronicle review, we decided to splurge on the $85 (per person) Chef's menu, along with a bottle of German Riesling suggested by the sommelier. It was well worth it. Though billed as a five-course tasting menu, it involved nearly a dozen different dishes. It began, auspiciously, with a wonderful 'small snack' of spiced mussels, a yogurt drink, and melon with cheese. A medly of more deliciousness followed: fried squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta; Octopus and Sujuk (think octopus prosciutto); Breaking Bread (the best pita and mezes ever) and Fattoush Salad; Duroc Pork Cheek Souvlaki (wow) with shoestring fries, and lamb filled dumplings; and finally, a pair of lamb shanks (very tender and flavorful) with crispy Moussaka and a separate plate of sweet peppers (amazing). We couldn't finish the lamb shank and peppers (they boxed the remainder for us to take home), but we saved room for the dessert course (actually 3 different desserts; 4 if you count the small cake that they brought us with a lit candle for one of our birthday's). In summary, Dalida combines sophistication and warmth with très delicious Eastern Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. Head there before they earn their first Michelin star. P.S. The restaurant has a truly outstanding wine list and the service was friendly and prompt!

5/5 by 👻 @Lauren Y. on 09/14/2025

This is my second time at Dalida and it was absolutely insane! Was seated in the main dining room and had a wonderful time. Our table of three ordered: Octopus: so delicious, thinly cut, loved the olive spread on it and crackers to accompany it. Would've loved just a touch of lemon to brighten it up Breaking bread: a warm fluffy pita with plates of olives, pickled vegetables, smoky yogurt, hummus & red pepper spread. Delicious and a great option to share Duroc Pork Cheek Souvlaki: super super soft skewer with about 5 pieces of pork cheek over shoestring fries, a garlic aioli and pickled peppers. The skewer bites were insanely soft and I loved the crispy fries Lamb Chops: so impressed by this dish! Our waitress added an extra lamb chop for us because the plate normally comes with just two. This lamb chop had ground lamb wrapped around it so it looked like a giant lollipop! This was so tender and flavorful and was great with the hummus. Would 100% order again. Anatolian Eristhe: I ordered this last time and had to order it again! It's fresh and the mushrooms were delicious Layered baklava: slightly disappointed by this dish because it was essentially a thin crispy filo dough sheet with pistachio cream- our table was kind of expecting the sticky baklava (with more layers) VISNELI EKMEK TATLISI: was a delicious layered cake of sour cherry cake and white chocolate mousse with a merengue and almond ice cream. So unique and fun! Overall this experience at Dalida was amazing and I'd definitely come back for the octopus, lamb chops, and breaking bread.

Hands down the best brunch in San Francisco.

5/5 by 👻 @Patricia M. on 09/05/2025

Every single dish is thoughtfully crafted and absolutely delicious. I've tried nearly everything on the menu, and it never disappoints, but if it's your first time, don't miss the Octopus and Sujuk, the Çılbır (Turkish poached eggs), and the Breakfast Spread. And enjoy the the freshly baked pita, it's warm, pillowy, and unforgettable. Their drinks are Just as exceptional. The cocktails are vibrant and creative, and their non-alcoholic tamarind drink is a full-on experience. The vibe is just as good as the food. Set in a beautiful location with the kind of ambiance that makes you want to linger. On sunny days, sit outside and soak in the energy and afterward, take a stroll through the stunning Presidio Tunnel Tops just steps away. Make sure to book in advance. I've mostly gone for brunch (my personal favorite), but their dinner menu is equally fantastic

Walking into Dalida, you immediately feel it: the energy, the buzz of conversation, the glow of murals, and the aroma of spices from the open kitchen. The setting in the Presidio a historic brick building with sweeping bay views makes you feel a bit like you're on a date with yourself (in the best possible way).

My rating is largely influenced by the service.

3/5 by 👻 @Kendra O. on 09/01/2025

Dalida came very highly recommended and I booked it on the last night of a girl's trip to SF. We did some research in advance and knew we wanted the Chef's Menu so that we could try a little bit of everything. The food itself was great. We especially enjoyed the breaking bread and the snacks served as a precursor to the meal. Our main dish was a braised lamb shank served with an amazing tzatziki and a fried dish made of eggplant and potato, which I really enjoyed. What really dampened the experience for me was the service. Other than the person who seated us and a couple of the people who delivered some of the dishes, I found most of the staff to either be aloof or disengaged, including our server who did not introduce himself like other servers were with their guests, nor did he bother to explain anything about the restaurant or the food. (I was listening to the server at the next table and wished we'd gotten him instead.) As I walked to the restrooms, which are located outside the restaurant, two servers were blocking the doorway chatting with each other, paying no attention to the people walking past them. This was one of the few upscale restaurants I've been to where no one said goodnight, thank you, or otherwise acknowledged our presence as we were leaving, including our server who we walked by, and the person staffing the entrance. The pacing of the food at the beginning was also very fast, with the first three dishes coming one right after the other. Perhaps my expectations were high given all of the rave reviews, but for me, the service was much too lukewarm given the accolades it receives. I'd give it another shot in the future, but won't place it high on the priority list.

We’re not experts but enjoy good food with family, particularly high quality and value places. We enjoyed our first visit sitting at the bar for brunch without a reservation. Spices are unique and memorable as fine food in Istanbul. For our family at dinner, with reservation, we enjoyed chicken, trout, salads, bread, tomatoes, olives, numerous hummus and wine from a very comprehensive list. Look at menu for appropriate descriptions and pronunciation. Speak to the sommelier for interesting descriptions to complement your food selections. Excellent service, expensive with good value.

We enjoyed our dinner here, seated at the counter where you could watch the chefs at work.. Friendly, helpful wait staff helps you with all the item names that are regional or unknown. Pizza, bread oven turned out delicious homemade pitta bread served with several spreads. The artichoke bottoms salad we found a bit flavorless but the short rib & sweetbread skewers were excellent. Thought the wine prices high. $24 for smallish glass of Pinot Noir that I have other places for $15. Happy, bustling atmosphere, everyone seemed to be having a good time. Great place to share several dishes with friends.

Front of staff ruins lunch

1/5 by 👻 @Heather M on 11/17/2024

We had a reservation for 5 at 2 PM and were seated at 2:05. At 2:30 we asked the waiter if we could put in a drinks order, and we did. Two drinks, one a diet coke came 15 minutes later. 5 minutes later a front of staff came over and stated they do not orange juice for one of the missing drinks, because "everything is made fresh", offered grapefruit juice. 5 minutes later informed us they do not have grape fruit juice. So now we are there for 1 hour. Entrees came out at 3:30 for 3 at the table. The other 2 waited another 20 minutes for their entrees. In the time we were there, 2.5 hours, a person next to us had 3 courses and left an hour before us, most of the dining room cleared out, the front of staff folks for the evening replaced the morning front of staff. Chef came out and apologized, comped us for 2 entrees. Bill came and 1 order for pita bread, which we did not rder was on it and 1 entree we were told we were comped for was on it. Front of staff ruined what should have been a nice experience.

Really wanted to try Dalida after watching Head Chef Laura compete on Top Chef! Love the vibe of Dalida and great food. Definitely on the more upscale side. Must haves are the octopus, fluffy pita and dips, and the lamb dumplings. I would come again for a more casual night to sit at the bar and get the pit with dips. One of the best meals I have had in San Francisco.

5/5 by 👻 @John F. on 07/20/2024

No pictures because I tried to soak in the moment as much as possible. This is probably the best value of a tasting menu you can find the city. $75 per person and I left extremely full. So much protein and flavors. There were so many plates brought out to us I lost count. Chef Laura and her husband understand this middle eastern cuisine extremely well. Standout dishes were the lamb, the pita with dips, and the savory filo dough dish with mushroom sauce. They treated the local California produce with so much love and flavor. The lamb had a crunch from all the seasoning rub it had on it. 100000/10. The ambiance and decor is amazing too. Wild flower wall paper. Quiet but lively at the same time. All the wait staff was extremely knowledgeable, tentative, and accommodating. My partner described what kind of drink she likes and they brought her the perfect recommendation. Chef Laura was on the show top chef and even came out to bring a dish and talk with us. I was star struck. Her kindness is to be noted

2/5 by 👻 @Finau K. on 07/20/2024

The scenery of this restaurant is great and the interior is nothing but refreshing. As for the service and food... I can definitely say it's a very watered down westernized taste of Turkish cuisine and hospitality. I was very turned off by the waitress who took our order as I chose to only order the California Tahdig. She smirked at me and said that her hand is bigger than this entrée and that if I'm sure I would be full. To the naked I may seem like an enlarged person who can eat a lot but I just underwent the gastric sleeve and unfortunately can only eat half of the size of her whopping hand. I found it very rude that she would make that comment as if I couldn't order more later on if I wanted to, I think professionalism needs to be enforced amongst diners and servers. Other than that unpleasant encounter I enjoyed the California Tahdig but it wasn't anything special, you can make this saffron or turmeric rice at home and throw your own choice of seafood on top. I loved the idea of a middle eastern take on sushi but this experience just put a bad taste in my mouth. My partner had the short rib kebab, saffron rice and a beer. The kebab was overly dry for a fatty piece of cut I wonder how they managed to that unless it wasn't a short rib cut. The saffron rice wasn't special but not bad.

5/5 by 👻 @Jay G. on 07/19/2024

Dalida is a delight! With some of the best hospitality and unique dishes ever experienced, this is one of my top picks now in SF when it comes to the great open atmosphere, unique drinks and great service. We started our evening with Breaking Bread which was some of the creamiest hummus ever as well as puffy pita bread that was so good we had to order a second! We then had the Fattoush Salad which had the juiciest deep red tomatoes you have ever experience. Perfectly peeled and dressed, this was a refreshing dish. As most items are designed to be family style we then loaded the table with the lamb chops, octopus, Anatolian Arishte. And Saffron Tahdig (rice) This was plenty for 4 and the flavors were amazing witg every bite. The lamb chops are wrapped with ground lamb (brilliant) and one chop is plenty but you'll need 2 orders for 4 people (2 chops per order) Prices for a Michelin Star caliber restaurant in San Francisco is very affordable and the value you get is worth every penny. Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz (owners) both came to our table for a nice visit. Laura being on top chef and her husband working the back kitchen both ensure the food and experience is nothing short of stellar. If you want an amazing meal in a great location (The Presidio) then this is the place to be! 6 stars (RARE rating for me)

4.25 STARS Playing tourist in the city. Just needed my Dora the Explorer fit and fanny pack to complete the look. I've enjoyed the food when Chef Laura and Chef Sayat were at Noosh then Belgium Brewing. Didn't have a chance to go to their pop-up: Istanbul Modern. And, now they own one of the most hyped and popular restos in the city: Dalida, located in the gorgeous Presidio Tunnel Tops area with sweeping views. Cuz if you're Top Chef fan than you know Chef Laura was reppin' the city and made it to Top 4 in the most recent season. Dalida is also featured in the Michelin Guide and a James Beard Semi-Finalist. Open for dine-in. I've been waiting for their outdoor dining (dog-friendly) which is only available for Wednesday - Friday lunch, and weekend brunch. At night, you can have drinks on the patio but no food service. Highly recommend making rezzies on OpenTable. M E N U Modern Eastern European Cuisine. Same menu for lunch + dinner. Limited menu for brunch with eggy type dishes. Full bar. D R I N K S * Efe Klasik Raki ($12 x2): https://tinyurl.com/3dr36jhv Raki is Turkish brandy distilled w/ grapes and anise flavored. You're given a shot of it which you dilute with ice and water to your liking. It has a strong black licorice flavor and is hella strong. One round, I was already buzzed but it was July 4th so let's have another! F O O D * 1/2 Dozen Pink Moon Oysters w/ seasonal mignoette ($28 x2) // 5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/mvsa885a A rare beauty, pink moon oysters are hard to come by and my fav variety. So fresh, so clean. Plump and smooth with a rich, briny sweet flavor. * Breaking Bread: Hummus, muhammara, smoked yogurt, pickles, marinated olives, chubby pita ($18) // 4.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/ywrpdmsn Their chubby pita lowkey reminds me of Oren's Israeli style pita - thick, soft, and chewy but with an air pocket reminiscent to balloon bread dusted with za'atar (deflates when tearing into): https://tinyurl.com/2cubwzcc The creamy smooth hummus, cooling yogurt, and sweet and smoky muhammara (roasted red pepper) were good accompaniments. * Çöp Sis Skewers: Short rib kebabs, sweetbreads, lavash, ezme ($24) // 2.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/2pb7m46h Rip a piece of lavash to BYO tacos. Least fav item, arrived tepid like it had been sitting on the counter. The short ribs were bland and parts tasted like congealed fat since it had cooled. * Duroc Pork Cheek Souvlaki: Cheeks, crispy potatoes, mustard sauce ($19) // 3.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/2pb7m46h Lowkey reminds me of Chinese shaokao (bbq skewers) served on long metal skewers, the pork cheeks had a good spingy chew but underspiced so we utilized the ezme for flavor (like a turkish pico). The mustard sauce just tasted like cream with no zing. * Cypriot Lamb Chops encased in ground lamb + caul fat w/ hummus, lamb jus, chives ($35) // 4 stars: https://tinyurl.com/2apu3xfk -Cross-section: https://tinyurl.com/mbydhw5j First fire, the lamb chops were close to well-done but the second fire was on-point. While cooking, the webbed caul fat melts into the lamb chop and ground lamb creating a rich, juicy meat lollipop. We used the extra pita to sop of the hummus and flavorful lamb jus. * Saffron Tahdig: Crispy Persian Rice w/ barberries ($14) // 4 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/4a5564wh Well-spiced fluffy rice with a crispy surface and tangy barberries that hits different. I think it could have used have spent more time on the pan for a more even, crunchier crust. * Housemade Marash-style Ice Cream: Kaymak + Sour Cherry (Comped - $8 each) // 5 stars: https://tinyurl.com/wsuzf7aj For the lamb chop mishap, our server kindly comped dessert. Winning combo of sweet clotted cream (kaymak) and sour cherries. The texture was perfection...stretchy, creamy, and silky smooth. S E R V I C E Warm, welcoming staff. Our server was kind and there when we needed him. Great to see Chef Laura delivering dishes and interacting with customers. Sweet and humble. Chef Sayat offered to carry TT's stroller up the stairs. We declined but it meant a lot. Food service is very leisurely during lunch so not recommended if you have time constraints. We eat rather fast and didn't anticipate a 2 hour lunch (mostly waiting) so thankfully it was a holiday. It didn't seem as long tho since we were enjoying the quaint outdoor vibes and people + dog watching. A M B I A N C E Spacious indoor dining room with earthy tones and nature-inspired hand paintings on the wall. There's a bar area and chef's counter. Awesome porch patio overlooking the Presidio lawn and Tunnel Tops area. P A R K I N G Paid parking only, it's $2.50-$3 per an hour. It's regulated every day but it was free on July 4th! Overall, despite the issues with seasoning + temps, we enjoyed our meal at Dalida. NGL, the outdoor vibes on the porch is what made it...it felt like dining in wine country. Hope they launch dinner service on the patio soon!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant ever since they opened but it was pretty hard to get a reservation. We finally got one for 5:30pm on a Sunday and we were seated right away! The restaurant itself and location in the Presidio was beautiful. There was plenty of space between tables, a couple of private rooms and a bar/lounge area for walk ins. We ended up not getting any drinks but the cocktails sounded delicious so we'll definitely be back to try those. For food we got two appetizers and two mains for three people and it was plenty of food! The pita bread came out nice and hot and fresh, and the octopus was very thinly sliced and very well sauced/seasoned! For the mains we tried the "pasta" and the steak. I personally enjoyed the steak much more. The "pasta" was very interesting but I didn't really like the consistency so it's probably not something I would order again. Overall it was a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious! Side note: unfortunately the first time our main dishes came out they were room temperature at most (it seemed like they had been sitting there for a while cause it took a while before we got them). The workers were incredibly nice about it though and brought out fresher dishes right away.

Me and my husband enjoy coming here! The food is amazing, the service is decent, and the location is just dreamy!!! Last time we came over during the gloomy Saturday morning, but still decided to sit outdoors. We ordered 2 pots of hot tea (which is great quality loose tea served in cast iron pots) and were gazing over the ocean. It was such a tranquil, almost meditative, experience. Drink: French 86 - non alcoholic spiced pear sparkling mocktail, nicely balance between sweet and tart, very refreshing and great for brunch Breakfast spread - a platter of spreads with sweet and savory options, the kaymak was almost like a whipped butter/clotted cream, strawberry rhubarb jam was tasty, favorite spread was the ajika which a savory lightly spiced red pepper dip, chocolate hazelnut spread was like Nutella, feta added a nice savory contrast Chubby pita - came with both the spread and egg dish was fantastic, warm, pillowy and fluffy, nice toasted exterior with a soft slightly chewy interior, definitely order something with bread if you visit Chilbir Turkish Eggs - this was good, two poached eggs on top of tomato braised greens, garnished with yogurt, eggs were nice and runny, braised greens were tender and flavorful, yogurt added extra creaminess and tanginess, bread was great for soaking up the sauce and yolk Service was good, food came out very promptly, servers were friendly and efficient. Overall really enjoyed brunch at Dalida, the chubby pita and ajika that was a part of the breakfast spread were the highlights for me, a little pricey given the portion sizes but worth a visit to try.

Great new Mediterranean mash up spot in the Presidio.

5/5 by 👻 @Ashley T. on 03/16/2024

Service was excellent and prompt despite being busy. Had a variety of items such as octopus, artichoke salad, meze plate with chubby pitas, roast lamb and lamb manti. Location is great, not far from a park with Golden Gate views and not in the usual Mission location (which is far from my house).

My hubby and I came for Friday date night and got lucky with a seat at the chefs counter! We ordered the chefs menu and loved absolutely everything. We walked away so stuffed and fell in love with it all. Definitely a great way to try their most popular items!

Let's start with the website being incorrect - it says

2/5 by 👻 @Robert D. on 03/04/2024

Let's start with the website being incorrect - it says lunch is Wednesday to Sunday, 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Wrong. We got there at noon on a Sunday and they only had a brunch menu - lot's of eggy stuff that we had no interest in. Other things as well, but a much smaller selection than there would be on a lunch menu. If the website had been more accurate this would have been a 3 star review. The menu leans Turkish (which is fine.) I had a kebab burger which was dry and overly salty. My wife had chicken (OK but nothing special, also overly salted.) We also had a dip plate which was OK, nothing great. They also need to work on their timing. Both main courses came out while we were still working on the appetizer dips - and we tend to be fast eaters, so it's not like we were lingering too long. The dining room is bright and cheery. One more minor point that didn't affect my rating. The website gives the address as 101 Montgomery Street. It is indeed 101 Montgomery Street in the Presidio. There is also a 101 Montgomery Street on the downtown Montgomery Street, I'd be surprised if some people just enter 101 Montgomery in their GPS and end up downtown. There are other parts of the website where they say they are in the Presidio, but they should have a warning that there are two Montgomery Streets in San Francisco.

We went for the first time for my husband's birthday.

2/5 by 👻 @Deanna A. on 03/01/2024

Interesting & well presented food overall. It is hard to think about the food, when the experience was disappointing. We asked to try the prefix chef's menu, but requested if they could accommodate my husband's sugar allergy. He can't tolerate processed sugar. We asked if he could be brought anything else instead of dessert at the end of the meal for him. The server initially went to check with the kitchen& we were told they could not accommodate us. We opted for the chef's menu anyway and asked to forgo the dessert options for both of us. The chef came by a few courses later to present the food. He asked more about my husband's allergy. Once he realized it was a medical indication, he apologized & said he'd be able to bring something for him instead of dessert. When the dessert course came, we were brought all three original & delicious looking sugar filled items. One with a birthday candle for my husband. We were brought the check at the same time. He blew out a candle on a cake he couldn't eat, while we waited to see if he would be brought fruit or something as promised. 15 minutes passed and no one came by to check on us. Our server busy at another table. We payed with the host & left. Disappointing to end the meal on a low note especially on a birthday.

Food deliciously prepared and presented. A fair price for the lunch price fix menu. Would definitely go back to try their other offerings.

Delicious food and an amazing ambience ! The staff were polite and helpful from the beginning. Their recommendations were helpful and the atmosphere was really perfect for an afternoon lunch or brunch. Definitely recommend if you're in San Francisco or visiting the Golden Gate Bridge and looking for lunch.

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Dalida San Francisco at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Dalida San Francisco page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Dalida San Francisco to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Dalida San Francisco!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
