The location of this restaurant is pretty bad.
Food is mediocre for the prices that they charge
Be the first to ReplyFood was great, cute hidden place in DTLA.
Definitely recommend for a date night, or girls night out.
Be the first to ReplyA great date night spot.
Service was good. Our server and the rest of the staff were very attentive and kind. Our plates were switched out between the appetizer and main course as well as our utensils. We ordered the whipped beans and corn as our appetizer. I felt that the whipped beans were mediocre and lacking flavor. It just tasted like whipped cheese. The corn on the other hand was delicious. For our entree, we ordered the rotisserie chicken. It was so delicious, juicy, soft, and it came with several dipping sauces and salsas. The order comes with the whole bird it seemed. Pretty amazing. The amount of fries was excessive, seems wasteful. Overall we had a good experience here. :)

Came to dinner on a Saturday night with my boyfriend and it was an amazing dining experience. From the service to the food to the music playlist, everything was up to par.We ordered the Clam Toast, Whipped Beans, Corn, Empanadas, Calamari, Charred Octopus + Churros for dessert.Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. My favorites of the night had to be the Whipped Beans and Calamari. As for drinks, the margarita was the best.I truly can't wait to come again.

Went to DAMA for a friends birthday! Since our party was big we had to do a set menu. I did have some dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate. The ox tail was delicious but tiny bit salty. Churros were great! Brussels sprouts/potato dish were delicious !! Chicken was okay and the rib eye delicious. The staff was also very friendly especially Henry!!! He is great! Made sure everything was in good order and kept checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly. Thanks Henry !!! Parking: Valet or street parking (2hr meter till 6pm except Sunday)Located: it's actually inside like the block! I was confused on where it was but when you map it, it will be inside one of the street openings. I asked the valet person and they directed me the right way.
Be the first to ReplyYum! Absolute deliciousness.
We were running late for our reservation and we called so they were still able to accommodate us. From the moment we arrived the service was attentive and welcoming. We celebrated my husbands birthday and they acknowledged him immediately just simply from reading the reservation notes on Resy! That's a plus on the customer service side for me. We had the seafood tostada which had a great acidity and tolerable spice to it, guacamole which was fresh and had nice chunks of avocado, Camarones which my husband felt the flavoring was memorable and lastly we had the oysters both east and west coast which was shucked correctly, no shell shavings just delicious! The warmers were a necessity for a cool LA night and it only made the ambiance more cozy. The restaurant was dimly lit, seemingly nice for a romantic evening. They accommodated our allergies and marked items on the menu that fit within our limits. We had a mojito and pina colada which was tasty and strong. I would absolutely recommend this place!
Be the first to ReplyThis ultra-trendy restaurant and bar is great for date
This ultra-trendy restaurant and bar is great for date night. It's great for drinks and the small dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. The 1st dish was the Aguachiles with tuna, just let me say it was something different and tasty. 2nd we order the Whipped beans. Didn't expect the flavor I was expecting but you will love this dish. 3rd was the crispy potatoes, if you love Brussel sprouts this is a good dish that comes in it. 4th dish was the Crispy squash flower. Was a great dish to just nibble on. Every dish we ordered was nothing short of phenomenal. As for the service... the service was great.. I forget his name but he absolutely took care of us 100% and actually recommended all the dishes we tried.. sorry but forgot to even take pictures of the plates ..
Be the first to ReplyFood was good and the ambiance could've been perfect.
The woo girls in front of me kept taking pictures with flash in a dimly lit space. There was no regulation by the staff and created for a terrible experience.Pork was fall off the bone moist. Pet friendly and apps were delicious as well. Elotes we're delicious.
Be the first to ReplyMy family and I decided to try Dama as a retirement
My family and I decided to try Dama as a retirement celebration for our Mom. We had a reservation for 6pm and were sat promptly. The ambiance was so chic, and for being a open concept it was warm because they had warmers throughout the restaurant. As it was our first time our server made food and drink recommendations. They serve family style which was great! Drinks and food came out quickly which we very much appreciated because we were HUNGRY . Must tries were the corn, fried quesadillas, squash blossoms, piquillo toast, and whipped beans! We also ordered the rib eye plate and rotisserie chicken.. oh my word they were both so soft and flavorful!! This place did not disappoint!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was fantastic.
There were 4 of us and we share 10 small plates and 3 desserts. All of them were yummy. We particularly enjoyed the calamari which is a very different dish than you are accustomed to, and it was fabulous, the octopus and the whipped beans. Be advised, the restaurant doesn't really have any true indoor seating. All the doors are open to the patios. On a cold and rainy night in LA, it wasn't really warm.
Be the first to ReplyWe celebrated our Wedding Anniversary in March, 2022.
ย It was our first time, and we were not disappointed. ย We selected small plates, as opposed to entrees. ย Everything we had was delicious. ย The corn on the cob was remarkable! ย It's just corn, I know, but it's NOT! ย It was a standout dish, for sure. ย The lamb chops, on the other hand, arrived well over-cooked, so we complained to the waiter. ย The waiter said the chef could not make them any different because they are thin. ย So, I asked they be returned and taken off our bill. ย The waiter came back and said the chef could try again, and we agreed. ย The second attempt was far under cooked. ย Shame man! ย We didn't complain a second time, though.

I had a great experience at this restaurant not just the food but the ambiance was amazing. I came for a friends birthday and let me tell you even the simplest dish was good. We started off with the raw oysters and they were good but super small. Probably the smallest oysters I've ever seen but still salty and not too sweet.Next the aguachile which unfortunately was not spicy at all but the sauce was still very delicious. I'm thinking it's a blend of jalapeรฑos and cilantro with possible avocado in the mix. Raw seafood was still very fresh.Surprisingly the whipped beans were good. Upon first hearing about the dish I was underwhelmed thinking it was just refried beans but let me tell you they were creamy and salty with the perfect blend in textures thanks to the crunchy carnitas topping. Definitely ordering this again. The celery salad was the only dish that was disappointing. It simply had no flavor. It would have been nice if they had maybe added a vinegar based sweet dressing but instead it was pretty bland. Not ordering this again. The clam toast was okay but unfortunately since we were sharing family style I did not get to taste any clams or chorizo. Most likely avoiding this dish due to the excess of bread and lack of sufficient toppings. My favorite small plate was the piquillo toast. Smothered in goat cheese and the garlic in the bread is making my mouth water as I type. Not dissatisfied that I didn't get any anchovies but instead grateful for the excess goat cheese. The calamari was the best!!! It was breaded in squid ink infused panko. They were perfectly fried not too soggy not overly crisp. An absolute delight. The snapper was sooooo tender. It flaked apart with every bite. The chili rub made it seriously savory. Definitely happy we got this dish. The rib eye was my favorite main dish. The steak was medium rare just how I like it and absolutely decadent in every bite. Loved the meaty juices with the charred outer edges. Paired well with my Latin Lover cocktail.I was happy we paired the entrees with Brussels sprouts and crispy potatoes because it created a healthy balance with all of the meats. Perfectly seasoned and sautรฉed.Lastly the desserts were decent. I preferred the tres leches cake sundae over the peanut butter jelly cookies. The cookies tasted like uncrustables so not anything special. The cake was perfectly coated with milk and cream- it was a great way to end the meal.Definitely coming back again maybe even just to sit at the bar and taste test all of their craft cocktails. Definitely recommend this place!!!
Be the first to ReplyOverall, it was a nice dining experience.
I treated my best friend for her birthday dinner and we both enjoyed it. The guacamole appetizer was good, the lamb chops were delicious, and the rotisserie chicken was flavorful. We also ordered cocktails, which were decent but forgettable. Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance!
Be the first to ReplyI absolutely LOVE dama the only problem I have is the area.
It's terrible literally in the middle of Skid Row ย but they do have valet so that's a plus. At night the vibe is unmatched! I've been multiple times in a week (day and night) . The food and drinks are sooo good! It's great for groups, date night, or a solo mission

My wife and I tried DAMA for the first time, primarily since we are fans of Antonia Lofaso. The waitstaff were very attentive and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. I ordered the Derby cocktail, which turned out to be the worst--and only--bad choice of the evening. The Derby was a bizarre mix of bourbon, pineapple, and mint which are three strong flavors that don't blend well. Thereafter I had the margarita and two beers which were both standard fare, but not special. Food wise, we ordered the empanadas, squash blossoms, and bone marrow small plates and the rotisserie chicken large plate (DAMA ran out of the rib eye). The small plates were all excellent and our two favorites were the empanadas (which were well seasoned and filled with tasty meat) and the bone marrow (which was a spicy take on a high end dish). The rotisserie chicken was very good as well, moist and well seasoned. The shoestring fries included were ample and delicious. DAMA was a bit sparring and inconsistent with their tortillas, however, since they only provided three corn tortillas with the large plate and when I asked for more I got two flour tortillas. Ultimately, I would give this a 4.5 star if I could. My wife and I generally loved the food, and the pricing seemed crazy low, but the drinks need some TLC to warrant a 5 star.

100% and 10 recommend! Food and drinks are amazing! I don't even know where to start... family style plates. For four people: you either order 6 small plates (like appetizers) or 2 large dinner plates for everyone to get full. Highly recommend the guacamole, whipped beans (yes beans! You won't regret), empanadas, corn, seafood tostada, chicken and steak. Drinks are amazing, had the Latin lover and old spice. Staff is amazing! Sitting is beautiful, a hidden gem in the fashion district. You do need reservations, and credit card to hold. I'll definitely be going back. My favorite. Enjoy!

Our party of 7 came to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was recommended by someone in are party who watches Top Chief. We sat outside on top by the bar. We got lucky not too hot nor cold. The atmosphere & setting was very chill and relaxing. Julio Q was our server, and he was fantastic from beginning to end! He's one of the reason why I would visit the restaurant again. Of course first being food. It's been a while since a server provided me such great service. He knew the menu, and was helpful on our selections. Our party brought our appetites and decided to share the items from the menu. We ordered a bunch of small plates (some even twice) and one large plate being the Rib Eye. I couldn't remember some of the names of the plates we order but I will update later. I really like how the items are shareable. I got to taste a little bit of everything. Their not too small, but just enough. We also shared desserts which they had DAMA flight. ย Everyone left the table full and completely satisfied. Everything was simply delicious. Cocktails were tasty and satisfying. We each order two drinks, and Pina Colada was our fav and common order the second round. Highly recommend this place, we did the valet parking $12 which didn't take long at all.

I'm first giving them a 5 start because they were able to squeeze me and my party on a Saturday. I called the day before and I was on rezy trying to book but nothing was available. They were very quick to accommodating me. The ambience is very nice. We sat outside but they had heaters. Our waiter was very friendly and recommended some great dishes. The cocktails were also great! It is shareable so I'd recommend getting a couple things from the small plates and of course a main dish. Such a hidden gem in the fashion district.
Be the first to ReplyLoved the food.
Everything is pretty much shareable. Decently priced. Didn't have 1 thing that wasn't satisfying. The place is just hard to find if you're on the GPS.
Be the first to ReplyCustomers please BEWARE.
They will charge you $25 per person even if THEY are the reason you don't dine there. We made two reservations as we were going there to celebrate after work, ย WE CALLED THEM to say we were running late. We arrived about 15 minutes late (it was a 5:30 reservation). The restaurant was about 1/4 full. The manager was in a terrible mood and the first words out of his mouth were " you guys won't be sitting together and he pointed to one end ย of the restaurant and said "you will sit there and you guys will sit there". Again the restauatrent was nearly empty. We then said "can we sit at the bar then"? He said "sure but we will charge you the cancelation fee". then I said "well can you find a way for us to sit together"? ย He was so contrary that he did not even try. I wonder if this is how the make side money. Forcing people to cancel and they make $25 PER PERSON if they leave or are not able to dine due to the host. It saves them the hassle of serving people during times of a worker shortage. He was never nice to us, not even when we arrived. We were forced to leave because of his behavior. Of course we will all request our money back from our credit cards. But please tread carefully it might be intentional. So disappointing since you would think they would use their hospitality skills and try to make customers happy.

Food was amazing!! I recommend the lamb chops and corn as those were our favorites, but honestly we enjoyed everything we ordered. I would suggest the tapas/small plates and ordering enough to share with your group as we enjoyed those more than the entrรฉes. Also the pina coladas were amazing!!!
