Good
The right food. The service good. Spacious restaurant. There are plenty of options for both eating and drinking. We have not reserved a table and we have been able to eat without problems.

Restaurant worthy of mention. Impeccable service. My husband had an aged steak and it was beyond delicious. He is a master smoker and it is rare that he enjoys meat in restaurants and was amazed by his meal. For my part, the pasta was tasty. Even the bread served was worth the detour. We will definitely return there on our next detour to Boston. Once again thank you for the great experience.

I was very impressed with the food here - the beef carpaccio was the best I have ever had - and that is my favourite dish so I've had a lot of them! The service was stellar - people very friendly - and Maureen our server was engaging and attentive and kind. Really appreciate it.

The food here was amazing. We ate here 3 times on a 4 night trip! We shared the Pasta mains by our choice and it was plenty for us. It was absolutely superb - all of it. We cannot wait to return next year.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect celebration experience. Quiet, Classy, and TASTY.
Excellent way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. It was our first dinner of a two week trip in New England and it really started things off with a bang. Great food, great help, great recommendations! ONLY criticism is with Open Table. I gave a lot of information on my reservation and apparently none of it was passed on. We were asked if we were celebrating and I told them it was our 40th anniversary. Davio's didn't seem to know that....but they toasted us with a flute of champagne anyway.

Another exceptional Thanksgiving at Davio's. Outstanding service, quality and quantity in spades on the busiest day of the year. Lovely wine selection at all price points. Full menu on offer in addition to the traditional turkey and all the fixin's with an all white or all dark option. The dark meat option was actually dark meat tied into a round roast...brilliant. Began with the house popovers and ended with chocolate lava cake. Priced as you'd expect for an experience of this caliber. Only 362 days 'til our next Thanksgiving visit.

We had a great dinner. We had a 745pm reservation, got there a few minutes before & were seated pretty quickly. We were seated at a bar able by the window which was nice. Our waitstaff (head waiter & assistant waiters) we’re attentive & polite. The drinks were good (our daughter loved the “mocktails”). The bread was AMAZING! Our dinners were perfectly cooked. The spaghetti our daughter got they said was homemade & was delicious. I got the 8oz filet and ordered sides - temperature done to perfection (I wish I had ordered a sauce to go on it though) & tasty. The lobster my wife got was exceptional. We were stuffed, but had to order desserts after seeing the display. As with the rest of the meal, they were terrific. Definitely a restaurant we’d come back to.

I never thought I’d love this restaurant so much that I am back for a second nice. I came last night with a party of eight for business. Food and service were absolutely magnificent. Everything that we ordered from our appetizers to the tower of seafood to the desserts were wonderful especially we had a great service. I definitely would have overlooked this place from my nearby hotel, but here I am having dinner here one more last time
Be the first to ReplyBooking not working at all
I booked the table on specific time and when we arrived, we have been said there are three bookings before us to get the table. The lady was rather impolite and simply didn’t care. Badly managed arrangements - if you plan some event and it’s time- dependent, avoid this restaurant as they are not capable to plan their bookings (it was of course customers’ fault - they eat too slow…)

Dining out on Thanksgiving is usually a roll of the dice. There aren't enough superlatives to describe our Davio's experience. Exceptional service(on one of the busiest days of the year), eclectic menu, with offerings at every price point, ditto wine list, huge portions...all in a beautiful setting. We had the traditional turkey dinner and the halibut followed by a warm chocolate souffle. Signature popovers were a treat as well. Looking forward to our next visit. Prices reflect the high standard of quality and we felt it was well worth it for a memorable experience.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent meal and service at Seaport.
Duxbury oysters were good, but prefer a selection. Sauces were good. Popovers were perfect. Warm spinach salad was unique and tasty. Highlight of the meal was the melt in your mouth duck. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Apple pie was a very sweet apple crumble. I somehow missed that. My wife went for the sea bass. Tasty but somewhat pedestrian presentation. Just plopped down on a bed of risotto. Service was excellent. Noise level anywhere near bar or serving station rivaled that of any heavy metal band. Tolerable in the back.

Something for everyone. 3 of us had a great meal here on 9/18/22. My wife is gluten free and Davio's protocol for this allergy is second to none. She was extremely happy with here main course, and, wowed by the gluten free muffins. My daughter had the tomato soup and Atlantic salmon. Very happy lady. I had an incredible salad followed by the Beef Bolognese. Best I've ever had! I started off eith the best Manhatten I've ever had. Nancy F. provided excellent service.

Food was delightful and service was attentive......... HOWEVER, what should have been a lovely dining experience was just about ruined by the choice of music/muzak being piped in. It was very difficult to maintain a conversation over the driving bass notes pumping away in the background. All of the patrons had to increase their volume in order to be heard at their tables. The resulting atmosphere did not feel like 'fine dining' - it felt more like a bar at 'happy hour'. Light jazz or classical music would seem a much more enjoyable and appropriate choice.

My wife and I came here during our visit to Boston to celebrate her birthday. We started with a piccolo raw bar seafood tower (torra di pesce freddo) that featured Maine lobster, lump crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, tuna, and salmon. It cam with a variety of sauces for which our waiter explained the best pairings. Outstanding in every aspect. She then had a salad of local burrata cheese, heirloom tomatoes, baby greens, white balsamic vinegar and toast points. I had an 8 oz fillet that was done to perfection and fork tender. We shared a side of hand cut parmigiano fries that were insanely good. At the end the waiter brought out a birthday treat of chocolate almond biscotti and puff pastries with whipped cream and a birthday candle.

Davio's provided our best dining experience during a recent visit to Boston. The atmosphere is divine; the service quite good; and the menu affords a great many meal options, in terms of cuisine and price. Conversation is easy, as is the pace of the dining experience. We must return to this fine restaurant!

Top Notch in every way! I was taking a class in Boston and had long days of study, so I just wanted something close to my hotel. Luckily, I found this restaurant my second night. Traveling alone, I wanted to sit at the bar. The ambience and vibe in here is great. I was greeted with a friendly server named Karynna who did an amazing job at being attentive and did everything to meet my needs. I had such a great experience, I decided to return the following evening. The bar was extremely busy, but I had the same great service. The general manager also came by to see if I enjoyed my meal. There are so many restaurants in this city, but this will be my first choice to return to, Ambience, food and service made this a great experience. Highly recommend!

I was in town on business with a coworker and we decided to try this place based on the reviews and the waterfront location.
We arrived about 30 mins before our reservation time and they immediately gave us a table. My only complaint about the whole night was the table selection. We were seated at a table that had the waterfront view blocked by a wall. It appeared to be the only table in the whole place with a blocked view.
Our server Megan and the food more than made up for the lack of a great view.
Megan has the perfect personalty to be in the restaurant business. She is very friendly, funny and never let us want for anything!!!!
The food was just as good as the service. I had the gnocchi and my coworker had the penne. Both were homemade and seasoned perfectly.
My coworker thinks she is overweight and never eats much and usually only orders a salad. She actually almost finished her whole plate. THere was nothing left in mine but tears because I ran out!!!!
We finished the night with the butter cake and what a perfect way to end a perfect dinner.
I cant wait to eat here on my next trip to Boston.
This Is THE Best Restaurant in Boston!
We thought that we might try a couple of other fine eateries while we were in "Beantown" and gave Ruth's Chris and Wolfgang another try. Our assessment - they were very good indeed, but still nothing compares to the total experience of Davio's. From the moment you walk in, through beverage flight and the dinner itself, you cannot get a better service experience and, with respect to the dinner on your plate - Chef Eric Schwarz is without peer in our extensive dining history. Bravo!

I came here for dinner with my sister and friend while we were all visiting Boston. It happened to be around the corner from our hotel and ended up being the best meal we had during our stay. so much so, we returned for lunch the next day for their fig jam and prosciutto pizza which was amazing! The service is excellent. The food even better. Everyone treated us well. I'd make this a standard stop for every Boston visit.
Be the first to ReplyVery Disappointed
Went Monday Feb 14th with wife and daughter to celebrate Valentine's day. The menu was a fixed price 3 course meal for$125 pert head. In summary for the dishes we chose, the anti pasti the shrimp cocktail was okay, the fettuccini Bolognese was a disaster, way too much sauce a very heavy handed. For the entrees, the steak was okay, the Dover sole was bland and overcooked. The dessert was 3 samples of a chocolate torte, a fruit cup and a red velvet cake. The fruit was not ripe and tasteless, the red velvet cake was dry. Just a very disappointing meal on what was supposed to be a celebration.

Can't say it any better than anyone else. Came here after the Van Gogh immersive experience on a date with my wife.
Everything was excellent. Service, wine, food, ambience.
it's been a while since I've been to a restaurant that worked this well at this level.
Go.
Exquisite dining
What an incredible dining experience. Our server, was first class all the way. I had the Roasted Eggplant with farro, spinach, and san marzano tomatoes. The spices were incredible in the dish and the basket of bread basically melted in my hands. What an exquisite dining experience!

We had a great dinner here. The ambiance was calming and the food and service were top notch. All our food came as it was ordered. A must try!
