Dear Irving Gramercy New York Reviews from The Last Year
intimate unique chill adult and just cool dammit.
the shrimp and mango ceviche was nice too. great drinks. love the service button. comfy seats. space between guests. dig this environment
Came by on a Saturday around 5pm.
There were still seats available, but they were filling up quick during my time there. They have seasonal drinks, but it's interesting that they still had drinks that featured fall fruits and spices. Ended up getting the Cuzco Fizz which was a drink that was featured for Women's History month. It was refreshing and light. Honestly loved the sugar coated grapes that came with the drink. The alcohol was completely masked, but it was strong enough to get me a little buzzed from one drink. The drink also supports women as a part of the proceeds get donated. The place is a nice and cozy vibe.
This place is wack.
The door is run by a 16 year old Who is excited to be in charge. We were late for our reservation by 20 mins and were made to wait 45 minutes for our table because they were "at capacity" inside . Heard from friends inside that there were plenty of tables available. From the door you realize this is not an upscale experience. Just a dive bar trying to give you one. It's a no for me .
Really pretty interior with equally tasty drinks -- came
Really pretty interior with equally tasty drinks -- came here with a friend but it's a really nice spot without too much wait and perfect for date night I think
Met a friend here for cocktails the other day.
They had some great NA options which was fun for me (being pregnant) and my friend enjoyed her dirty martini. Not a ton of casual food options, but enough as long as you don't have a shellfish allergy. My friend did, and that made finding a snack on the menu challenging. Vibe is a bit fancier than I anticipated, but looks like it caters to the post-work crowd in the area.

Great space and very good cocktails! A classy spot for drinks on a Friday night- and only had to wait about 10 min for a seat.

It's affordable, the ambiance is pretty cool, and there are lots and lots of drinks. If you like whiskey based ones though I would look to Raines Law Room. But there are more fruit-forward drinks at Dear Irving. I think for what it is, this is a good place to go. Better than most bars and the selection is great.
It's fine I guess.
Cocktails are good, service was decent, atmosphere is nice...it just feels kinda dated in the sense that it reminds me of the cocktail scene in like 2017 when everything was just riffs on classics. I had two drinks: the tinderbox (a little spicy mezcal drink) was fun. My second drink was the weaving weber (basically a tequila old fashioned) that I thought was really tasty but it was a $28 cocktail so at that price point it better be. Honestly a good half of the menu are riffs on classic dark liquor cocktails (manhattans & old fashioneds). They don't seem to have anything inventive featuring vodka or gin. There's lip service to pisco, tequila, and mezcal, but those cocktails feel safe and obligatory. Good, bad, or ugly? Honestly, none of the above. The best adjective I can use is boring. [Aside, I also hate the 'button' method of service - it's fun as a novelty but as with the entire cocktail menu reeks of 8 years ago]
As cocktail bars go Dear Irving stands above the rest.
Nestled in a converted townhouse the ambiance of the venue cannot be matched. The bartenders know what they are doing and the cocktails are unique. This is a great place to go with friends to relax. My bourbon drink had a peppery kick and was delicious.
Great cocktails and service.
A livelier version of their sister bar Raines Law Room. Highly recommend.

Hi @ExhaustiveMilk80, to be able to hold a bid you must have either the key holder medal or concierge medal. Holding bids allows you to work on trying to secure the reservation without someone else getting it before you and filling it
