Delano Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Criminal lack of sunshades
We chose to come to the Delano as we had enjoyed it as the Tower about 15 years ago. Although it has been refurbished, the lobby area is not as smart as previously, and the larger breakfast restaurant closed down? What really shocked us is the complete lack of sun umbrellas around the pool, although there are plentiful sun beds lined up really close to each other. The only umbrellas cost at least $175 dollars a day plus the cost of reserved seating. Shame on you Delano
Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel so many amenities in the vicinity. Did not need to leave home, everything you need in the building!!
Don't believe the hype
Overall disappointment with stay, reasons for choosing this premium priced hotel over others were unavailable/closed (pool/spa/restaurant), PAID upgrade was incredibly underwhelming, the "scenic view" was a low level floor overlooking dumpsters at the back of the Luxor. Called down to desk (no one answered), so went down and had to pay additional money to upgrade again, the new room was on an even lower floor with the same view of the dumpsters. Incredibly disappointing, no time to continue to address the issue.
Super Delano Stay with easy access to fine dining, state of the arts facility and vacation entertainment
Lovely entertainment opportunities for all - children and grown up alike. Easy access to the Vegas strip.
Stay here if in Vegas!
This location has excellent rooms, restaurants and entertainment venues. Our group really enjoyed eating at the Blues Restaurant and lingered as the live music was put together with exceptional talent and this wasn't the first time the venue stood out to mention!
Don't recommend stay at DeLano or Mandalay Bay resort. Too big, impersonal service. Nickeling and diming" for everything
Wouldn't recommend staying at DeLano or Mandalay Bay resort. Too big, impersonal service, they "nickel and dime" for everything. They even charge $16.00 for a double coffee kit just for making coffee in your own room.
Perfect for stadium events
The Delano is a first class resort with a wonderful staff. Delano is also "the place" to stay if your are attending events at the stadium as it is a 10 minute walk across the bridge.
Vegas Hotel
Delano Hotel Las Vegas luxury resort with spacious comfortable rooms with several fine dining restaurants and bars on site with entertainment,
A+ Service and Cleanliness
A great all around experience. Every staff member that I encountered was amazing. If you are going to any event at the Allegiant Stadium then this is the closest Hotel on the strip within walking distance.
I was not impressed.
... When it was The Hotel it was great It's mediocre now Not one drawer to put your clothes ..... room service came in a bag with plastic fork and cheesy creamers Cold food ; really shocking?! No cotton or really any lovely bathroom amenities; horrible quality tissue and no robes or slippers anymore....... Won't be staying here again ..... staff was awesome
I was impressed with the gorgeous gallery near the check in
I was impressed with the gorgeous gallery near the check in desk. Incredible use of the space. We were a bit early but the girl at the front desk that our reservation didn't show up. I had originally booked 3 nights but then added a 4th right before the trip. The girl finally got it right and eventually said it was her mistake...annoying start. The room was awesome suite. One room for all our outfits and costumes. We were so excited to have 2 bathrooms too. Very nice. The bedding, pillows and the bed itself were all ok. Overall our stay was very nice and quiet when we wanted to sleep. This trip was for buying wedding outfits for myself and my precious bride daughter. We were able to find a couple of great outfits for her. The Premium Outlet stores were so good we went back twice! I usually don't stay at the same hotel twice but I might consider this again.
Stayed at the Delano for a group event, largely based upon
Stayed at the Delano for a group event, largely based upon the pricing relative to other strip hotels. Was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere, and comfy and spacious rooms. Though it's located at the end of the Strip, it's not that difficult to get anywhere. It's attractive pricing, comfy beds, and stylish decor makes it a solid pick for Vegas. At half the price of the Wynn, I'd stay here again, especially given that it houses one of the best high end restaurants in Vegas (Rivea).
Average hotel.
I used to stay here long ago when it was The Hotel. It's still clean and nice, lobby appealing. The elevators sound like you'll et stuck in them. The gym is decent for a hotel gym. Everything you need, I would have liked barbells but can't complain. Tons of cardio. Leg machines, and dumbbells which I was happy about. No cheap little jungle gym thing or attempt at a smith, this had a nice set up for pully moves. Nothing , nothing at this Hotel is free. No coffee in the room free, you can make a pot, get 2 cups for $9 I believe? The mini bar is sensored, says you can store anything of your own in there or your charged? wtf is that? I didn't even try because I didn't know what would happen. Not paying $10 to keep a water cold. The resort fee is typical. The parking for self is $18/nt. If you have an electric car you pay that PLUS another $50 ! It's insane. The conceirge was nice, my kay fob wasn't working in the elevator. I stopped t 3 different floors and the door finally opened. I was having a panic attack. For the life of me, it wouldn't stop at my floor. Each time you want to get in the elevator or when you get inside, you need to fob in than press floor or you won't go anywhere. Even to your own floor. I went to desk, she was nice and gave me new cards but said they sometimes act up. WTH? Getting trapped for any time in the elevator gives me a panic attack since I don't like to be in them in the first place. That sucked. The shows at Mandalay are literally right there! That is really nice. You walk out of lobby on way to Mandalay and the Theatre is right there. Super convenient for shows. The MJ One show is insane. It is nice to not have a casino right when you walk out of the elevator and not as many people. Our view was of the pool at Mandalay and beyond, mountains in the back. Was nice. Comfy beds, had the Wellness rooms where there's an air purifier and one on the shower head. It may have been aromatherapy? Anyways, I was told they are pretty much same as other rooms.
Overall, really great stay here at Delano.
The hotel is modern and sleek, with the rooms being perfect in the amount of space. I had the 2 queen suite, and it was MASSIVE - 2 bathrooms in the suite!! Only thing that I wish was a bit better was the hotel in-person check in process - this took a bit of time. However, that did not diminish the comfort of the stay one bit. Great experience!
So I've stayed at plenty of hotels ranging from 3 to 5
So I've stayed at plenty of hotels ranging from 3 to 5 stars. Although it looks nice on the surface, this hotel is def a 3 star at best. The rooms are decent, but the service and everything else is lacking. They charge $25 for a bottle of water from the mini bar and $16 per coffee in the mini bar. It's not even good coffee! Nowhere do they even mention that they plan on gouging you that much. In addition, had to constantly ask for more towels and they didn't even bother vacuuming the room one day (we could tell because my daughter had some crumbs from breakfast still on floor after they "cleaned the room". Really wanted to like the place since they have a cool beach for the kids... but not staying here ever again.
Disappointing.
Our room was at the 14 floor but the noise from the highway was so loud at all hours of day and night we didn't sleep. We asked in advance for a quite room and also reserved a king bed room. We received a two queen room and it felt as if we're sleeping in the middle of the highway. Also the pools entrance is about quarter mile from the Delano there's no entry from the Delano and It is a very long walk through all the casinos and restaurants up to the pool. Inconvenient, loud, and crowded.
We had the best time at the Delano, the vip lounge
We had the best time at the Delano, the vip lounge concierges were quite literally the kindest people ever, they helped us out so much and we looked forward to seeing them every morning. Incredibly friendly service and wonderful people, shoutout Ron, Mylene, Jones, you all made our trip! Other than that, the room was awesome, super awesome amenities, and a great area to walk around!
Spent the last night of our stay here as it was cheaper
Spent the last night of our stay here as it was cheaper then where we staying previously. I liked that there was no casino, so it felt a lot more peaceful & didn't smell like smoke. At the front desk, we got asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite for $75 more since I had booked 2 rooms. I declined as we had spent a lot on this trip already up till this point. So we got our rooms & I was a little disappointed that even though both rooms were booked under the same reservation, they weren't next to each other. Not even on the same floor. I guess I should've asked , but I just figured that's automatic if its under the same reservation. The rooms though, just wow. An actual living room, 1.5 bathrooms & three tv's. We were confused where the bed was at first. Haha. Honestly though, the thing that impressed me the most was that there was actual hand soap in the bathroom. It sounds kinda silly, but most hotels just have a bar soap thats not actual hand soap. The bed was comfy, but unfortunately the pillows weren't. They were too high, therefore I woke up with my neck being a little stiff. The shelves in bathroom also did appear a bit dusty, but other then that the room was great. Also though, I do wish there was a functioning fridge. The fridge was fully stocked with stuff, so we couldn't store our drinks in there. If we can catch this hotel on a great deal again, I'd come back.
This review is solely based on manager Wendy & Bran
This review is solely based on manager Wendy & Bran response to our room turned upside down. Not sure if this was a cruel April fools joke or the hotels in standards of quality. We checked into 6908 and the room was completely torn apart. Previous guest trashed the room and housekeeping left the room completely disgusting. Moved us to another room on the 36th floor full of dust and stains on the pillows. We moved already once to 36910. Would like a clean room with working amenities . I understand there is a volleyball tournament here which we are not here for. And space is limited but expectation of clean and sanitary rooms is the bare minimum requirement . Wendy/Bran, the manager on duty was less than empathetic or concerned regarding the quality of the room. Her lack of professionalism showed with her demeaning tone and curt attitude. On a side note if you're looking for complimentary appetizers from previous guests look no further salad accompaniments of toppings on floor. We are on night one of our 3 days stay. So far not impressed with the quality and atmosphere of the stay here at Delano.
