Small eatery
Restaurant is small qnd noisy - just next to Upper Serangoon Road. It feels as somebody tried to copy Din Tai Fung. Food is average - soups were ok-ish, dumpling and pancake too fat.
Be the first to ReplyTaste of Shanghai Food of the good old days
It become a trend for Shanghai style dishes in Singapore. From fine dining to street food. You can find a lot of restaurants. Ding Tele is one of them. We have visited quite a few times. Some of the dishes will immediately bring you to the good old taste of Shanghai food. The fried buns as in the photo is one of a kind in Singapore. Now they are promotion for shanghai crab steam bums. And also the noodle. The steam buns are really very good taste. Better than many of the restaurant in Singapore. And most importantly, the price is very competitive. Good place. I love it.

Nice, clean, with friendly staff. No fuss food and it is served piping hot and fast! The best item is their signature dish, Sheng Jian Bao or pan fried then steamed pork bun. Have this dish then move on to other restaurants in the area.
Be the first to ReplyUnexpected good find in the heartland
Three things surprised me. 1) Thereโs always a queue especially during weekends 2) The food is really good, better than Din Tai Fung, in my opinion 3) Even though they are located in the heartland in a shophouse, their prices are not exactly cheap. Having said that, I enjoyed everything I ordered. Although the meal could be more enjoyable if only they took care of the flies flying around.
