Not worth the trip!!
Service: Terrible. We had one glass of wine each. When we finished they came and took the glasses away. Did not ask if we wanted another. They were in a rush to have us leave. we had been there less than an hour and the restaurant was not even half full. Food: Not good at all. Had scallops that came floating in oil. There were 4 scallops for $35. Not even remotely tasty. Bank Charges: They push the credit card cost to the customer. When I asked about it, the response was "the banks make us do it". That is emphatically not true. Atmosphere: The bar area is still nice and they offer live piano music. The restaurant decor is so dated and not appealing. Overall: not a good experience.

Was a nice experience. Good service but very disapointed in the quality of the ribeye steak. It was cooked perfect but mine was definitly not a prime cut. I would say possibly a select cut. Could have been a one off but for 70 bucks i expect better. Sea scallops were salty which tends to mean they are wet and not dry scallops - a lower cost product.
Be the first to ReplySo loud!
The food here was very good, but the experience was completely made unpleasant by the level of noise in this restaurant. Also, the tables are placed within an inch or two of each other so you are basically having dinner with strangers, if you are not in a big group at a big table. This is not Manhattan. Surely they could spread the tables out a little bit.

Stay away from this restaurant!!!! Very racist, unprofessional staff. The host told me we need to eat outside at the end of October guys. While empty tables inside. Wow please respond if you had similar experiences there.
Be the first to ReplyLoud diner atmosphere a big fail
Food was very good. Service was excellent despite the busy night. Regretfully the atmosphere does not fit the price. It was very loud from all areas and tables around us. People talking so loud to the person next to them. The table next to us actually moved and traded seats with their husbands and apologised for them being so loud - nicely she said ‘ hopefully you can enjoy your meal’. For the food and price you expect to pay in a nice place like this, I would not expect an diner setting. A shame as we have just moved here and heard so many great things. Sadly will be a while before we consider going back - and will request to sit in the front/by the piano or on the two tops down the side.

Had a very enjoyable dinner with the family last weekend at this great steakhouse in Hoboken. From service to food this is a very well run steakhouse.
They take Covid precautions seriously. Each table has a see through stand next to it and the staff, from waiters to cleaners wore masks.
We had the Porterhouse for 3. Perfectly cooked, really delicious. Also sides were brussel sprouts and potatoes
Our server was really excellent, showing us the history of this beautiful former tavern, with its 100 year old clock, original floors and paneled walls.
This is a very very good restaurant.
An Amazing Experience
I made a reservation here in the first week of August for my boyfriend's birthday, and it was so worth it. The food was absolutely amazing and tasteful. We started off with the Trio of Empanadas, and they were AMAZING. We had then ordered the Lamb Chops and Porterhouse steak, and both were beyond good. And we ended the night with the chocolate lava cake which melted in our mouths. Definitely a great experience and everyone who worked there catered to our needs and wants, I will definitely be going back soon!!
Be the first to ReplySteak is good but a bit oily
It was my fiancé's Dad's birthday and we were looking for a last minute dinner spot after Augustino's gave our table away. We found a reservation for Dino and Harry's so it was perfect - we've been meaning to check it out anyway. It was MLK Jr. Day so it was pretty empty at around 6 pm.
To start, they brought us the best bread basket ever. It included hot/freshly baked rolls, bread sticks (the crunchy sesame ones), and flat bread crisps. It was nice that they provided a variety. For food, we ordered a bunch of things to share amongst four people. We ordered the Scallops (roasted cauliflower, Pearl barley with a morel mushroom sauce). The scallops were perfectly cooked but a little too salty. Luckily, the rest of the dish was not. I loved the creamy mushroom sauce. Paired with the Pearl barley, it was very innovative. For steak, we did the 32 oz Porterhouse. The menu says it's for two people but this with the scallops and two sides was more than enough for us. We even had leftovers. The steak was good but pretty oily - probably the reason why we all filled up rather quickly. Creamed spinach and brussel sprouts with applewood smoked b weacon were the sides we picked (all sides are $10 each). The creamed spinach was a bit off to me. For some reason, it tasted minty to me (it was just me though). Surprisingly, I enjoyed the brussel sprouts even though I normally don't like them.
Food was good overall, service was great - definitely don't mind coming back for another special occasion.
family dinner
Had a great dinner and drinks with my family for my Christmas gift.
My godson's treat. Was joined by new addition Madison, his grandaught, a
lovely little girl who thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Great Steak!
Our family went for a birthday dinner. The staff was really nice and the steaks were delicious! Thank you for making it a great meal!

Our lovely waiter Michael looked after us from the moment we arrived. Seriously this is the best place I have eaten since arriving here. So, service fantastic tick, food x just wow. The most succulent tasty delicious steak I've tasted. This meal was without doubt the best I've had the pleasure to enjoy - the mosy moist and melt in your mouth steak ever. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Michael and chef x

Right from the beginning the whole experience was a pleasure. Good atmosphere with live music, suitable for the venue, attentive staff but not over bearing and great food.
Best restaurant we've been to since in New York and New Jersey.
Overpriced
We ordered steak and pasta, but even when the quality of the food was good, I still feel it was overpriced. The mashed potatoes weren't seasoned and even if the service was fast, they never brought us the second drink we ordered.
Be the first to ReplyTalk Radio raves about this place? Really ?
Yes, I'm spoiled. My Dad owned a very famous steakhouse in Manhattan. In my growing-up years, Dad took us (once, and only once !) to almost every fine restaurant in the NY Metro area. So I know good service and good value when I see them. This is NOT the place. I have no intentions of returning. We sat at the bar because we wanted to be close to the music and we didn't have a reservation for a table. The bartender wasn't particularly attentive: we kept joking with him, asking if we were "invisible"? We shared a $59 steak: it was delicious but definitely not worth $59, given that it was a la carte, didn't come accompanied by a salad or veggies, and we had to pay $10 each for a side of potatoes. The potatoes Lyonnaise were delicious. We shared a nutella sundae for dessert: it was nothing special. We came on a Friday night because we were in the mood for live music, but the pianist is overwhelmed by the noisy patrons (a pick-up crowd?), and the combo who played after 9pm were too loud for us to continue to converse at the bar. I can think of at least 4 places in North Jersey where i can get a better steak, better service, and much better value. But it was an experience to see the interior which is really lovely (it's where the movie "On the Waterfont" was filmed).
