Stevie is a wonderful chef.
This is one of the best seafood places i've ever been. This is a must go.
Be the first to ReplyWe had the five course meal and it was fabulous.
My only regret was missing a picture of the crab pasta dish because I devoured it too quickly. The depth in crab flavor with a subtle pesto was harmonious. I had a couple glasses of different white wines, not to sweet as I requested. The venison tartare was amazing and the purple chips that accompanied were delicate tasty pieces of art. The beef was a tad salty and the chips for the beef were oily and dense. I hope to get back next month to see what else they can do. Small, intimate setting. Great service. As I waited to use the one restroom, I saw the chef cheffing his heart out in the open kitchen. Bless him, and bless this place. I could taste the pride in each dish.

Went to Eden Hill for a date night with my partner and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is quite small so make sure to have a reservation. We ordered the bread & butter, roasted Brussel sprouts, chicken liver mousse, crispy pig head "candy bar", a fish dish, char siu quail, and foie gras cake batter. Everything we ordered was really delicious, but I was most surprised by how good the Brussel spouts were. The creme fraiche bagna cauda was sooo good and we were so happy we ordered bread so that we could spread it on bread too. I would definitely return to try more dishes or when the menu changes. Perfect spot for a date night

Came here with my husband for his birthday, and we were both so impressed. It's a small dining area, so I wouldn't expect to be seated if you show up without a reservation. However, there was plenty of room between us and other guests. We did the chef's tasting menu, and every dish was executed brilliantly and beautifully. Service was very personal - our server took the time to explain each dish in detail and answer any questions we had. I will definitely be going back the next time we are in Seattle!

Happy New Year, look at me getting my first review in on the 1st. New Year, new me, same Seattle restaurant let downs. Just joking. So I made it out to Eden Hill for NYE dinner. We picked to go here versus other choices mostly because of how well rounded the menu was. There were some solid dishes that had me excited, as well as other dishes that left me scratching my head. Overall I am glad i finally made it out, but I'll break it down for y'all. Highs:1) Crab Kohlrabi Salad: They should look into making this a staple on the menu. Seriously fell in love with it. Poppy seed vinaigrette was sublime, a perfect dressing with Kohlrabi & to top it off the butter remnants of the crab just come together so perfectly. bravo2) Lamb Carbonara: Talk about rich, luscious, and perfectly seasoned. Another brilliant dish with smoked lamb belly that is jerky-like. The egg yolk helps get the noodle silky, and the garlic crumbs are the perfect texture to give depth to the dish.3) Service: Lovely staff, all of whom were genuine, kind, and on top of their game. The pace of the meal was perfect and I commend the culture here.Mid:1) The 3 starters were a nice introduction into the evening. Nice execution, presentation, and flavors. The passion fruit on the oysters felt more like an experiment vs adding anything substantial to the dish. Lows1) Wagyu Shnitzel: I think what let me down here was the preparation of the meat. By no mean was the meat bad, dry, or chewy. I do feel it was overcooked, and the schnitzel preparation on top of that only amplified that thought. What should have been the highlight, a gorgeous cut of meat, simply fell flat. It was a heavy dish, and anytime you add breading/fry a meat it is less "fancy" The WOW factor for the big finale was a Schnitzel, and like the meat, the dish pounded out my excitement. 2) Ball drop dessert: The theatric behind it was appreciated, however after two heavy dishes of the lamb and waygu something fruity, a pie, or a combination of buttermilk, apple and red currant would have been a nice way to balance out the meal. In the end, the dessert wasn't anything to write home about. Glad we were able and fortunate to celebrate NYE here. Thank You E.H.

We had the chef's dinner and it was such a treat! This was our third time here and the third time we were delighted by everything we ate. I can't recommend specific dishes since we always get the chef's menu, which is different every time. This chef gets me to eat - and love - things I normally would shy away from (I'm looking at you, chicken liver mousse). I always feel like my palate is expanded and eyes opened when I eat here. Thank you as well to our server, Britta, who was charming and lovely with our party.
Be the first to ReplyI was so excited to try Eden Hill but they didn't live up
I was so excited to try Eden Hill but they didn't live up to expectations. The space was small and cramped, with chairs awkwardly banging into the foot of the tables. The food was all both overly sugary and overly salty somehow, begging for moments of sourness or just simple alleviation of sensory bombardment. Clearly high-quality ingredients were over-sauced or over-seasoned with clashing flavors. It felt like a young chef trying to make everything "experimental" when it didn't need to be, and the experiments didn't work. Rather than surprising and unexpected in a way that you're amazed it works, it was more "huh?" The wine was okay but not memorable. I would have shrugged all this off at a different price point but at $400 for two with wine, I'm bummed. If I were a professional critic, I'd go back 3 times to see if they were having an off night. The service was very friendly and that was the best part of the meal. Don't change anything about the service!

Be the first to ReplyNew American 9 course dinner for our anniversary
New American 9 course dinner for our anniversary @edenhillrestaurant 1. Beef tartare: soo buttery and melts in your mouth 2. Radicchio salad: we've been really into radicchio and this did not disappoint. The blue cheese dressing was not overwhelming either and the duck fat croutons were so delectable 3. Confit beets: this tasted so aromatic but I felt like it was too earthy at times. 4. Albacore: potatoes and albacore isn't something I'd picture together but they work so well5. Ragu with labneh: the hard texture of these threw me off but the flavors were still wonderful6. Quail: basically a spatchcocked quail with mushroom and it was so hearty7. Crispy pig head: this is one of the most interesting things I've had. It has a hint of cinnamon flavor and the crisp was so good! 8. Mussels: I've been a sucker for mussels lately and I have to get it if it's on the menu. These had giant pieces and the touch of kumquat was really nice 9. Foie gras cake batter: never have I ever tasted anything like this. The cake batter was so airy, rich, smooth, and buttery that it literally disintegrates in your mouth. The flavor had a slight bitterness from it but kind of in the best way possible. That concludes our meal! Highly recommend for these unique flavors. The service was excellent! We got complimentary champagne for our anniversary and complimentary dessert. Our waitress was super nice and friendly as well. The ambiance is perfect for a date night. Super quaint and dim lit.

Prices are up there but it's worth every damn cent AND your first born child. The food is amazing. We tried the oysters, the crispy pig ear candy bar, the brussels sprouts, venison tartare, fioe gras cake batter, truffle pasta, and like 3 other items that weren't even on the menu because the service was just that good. They brought us out complimentary raspberry dippin dots because there was just some extra in the back. We tried a sample of fioe gras on a cracker because my friend mentioned we've never had it. When we were eating the dessert my offered me the last strawberry. A different chef overheard this and BROUGHT OUT ANOTHER SLICED STRAWBERRY And you know how the the proportions in fine dining can be small? At the end of the meal the head chef asked us if we were full with the portions because if not, they would give us more for freeIt's funny because we made the reservations late and weren't able to get a table. Soo lucky we didn't because the bar is where you want to be for this level of service. The staff all talked very highly of the owner Maximillion. As someone who's been in the service industry, this is very rare. So they're doing something very right. Keep it up! 100 stars out of 10
