We went for Easter brunch and had great meals.
Staff are quick to serve and know their menu well. We liked the classy, but laid back setting. A great bar.

Order the pancakes! I would most definitely order those again. I also recommend the chocolate croissant. Savory wise, I enjoyed the pork belly and grits (the spicy green salsa really pulls the whole dish together!) The biscuits and gravy weren't my favorite- I think I just prefer the traditional version. It was sweeter than I liked and the biscuits were pretty dense. Overall, a great brunch.
Be the first to ReplyA great place to have breakfast it was too pricey for me.
They're known for their blue corn pancakes and it did not disappoint. They were delicious & fluffy. I also had Migas, sorry but not good at all. Their Migas had too much red sauce all over the potatoes that were underneath the eggs. I've been eating Migas for years and I've been making them, too. These were no Migas that I've ever seen before . Plus, they were very dry. We shared a bottle of Prosecco & a small container of orange juice. The prices were very high for brunch & not alot of things g

BEST BRUNCH IN DALLAS The croissants are freshly made and perfectly buttery and flaky and layered! The pancakes are delicious, and the pork belly is spicy and savory. Service is great and ambiance is very industrial but very chic and modern at the same time. Make resys ahead of time because it gets packed.

Be the first to ReplyThe salmon rillette were reminiscent of soggy salmon salad
The salmon rillette were reminiscent of soggy salmon salad and were served in an unappetizing sauce made from beets and orange juice. Of the four entrees we ordered, the veal cheeks was the only dish that was really delicious. The scallops themselves were great but it was served on an unpleasant base of black eyed peas with cornbread crumbs. This dish is not worth the $48 price tag . The short rib bolognese was watery and did not adhere to the pasta and the beet and burrata salad had very little buratta. Avoid the goat cheese cheesecake.

Found on Yelp so my husband and I tried it out for brunch this morning. We started with a croissant (chocolate & plain) both were flaky & yummy (no butter or jam needed)! Meet the guy who makes these fresh every morning at the restaurant. My husband had the Biscuits and gravy and thought they were excellent! I tried their signature Blue Corn pancakes they were also very good not as heavy as regular pancakes. Can't wait to go back and try the one of there other yummy choices!
Be the first to ReplyBlue corn pancakes are everything they have been made out
Blue corn pancakes are everything they have been made out to be. We ordered some as an appetizer and it was great. Pork belly grits was amazing. Monster slice of pork belly, cheesy grits and a jalapeño drizzle. It was the star at brunch. Biscuits and gravy are ok, but pale in comparison to the pork belly. I'd put them in the top 3rd. They are fancy, but I've had better. Drip coffee, they do have some mimosa options and other breakfast y drinks. Price isn't cheap, but the quality is on par. Parking is garbage, but they do have a small lot next to the building if you get lucky.

Had seen their brunch all over instagram for the past year and finally decided to try it out with some friends. We had a resy for 5 at 11am on a Saturday and were glad we made a resy since it was pretty busy. The wait staff were all super nice and helpful. The food was to die for and the portions were great for the price. Our table got the pancakes, migas and egg sandwich and everyone loved it. Would definitely recommend and come back!

2 things, with large parties, they do not breakup the ticket. When making a reservation for a large party, you have to put up a credit card and there is a fee for anyone that does show. Service charges are a bit high. Food is great. Drinks okay.

Great restaurant in the bishop arts area! Has a rustic chic vibe in the inside. Great service and loved all the dishes we tried. We went with some friends and decided to order family style to sample several dishes and we enjoyed everything! Some that stood out were the the chicken thighs and blackened red fish. The cornbread was also very delicious!

The pork belly was one of the best brunch dishes I've ever had. Blue corn pancakes are also a must try. Both were so good, not sure I could try anything else if I came back even though they had a great variety of options

Solid brunch place giving southern cuisine with more new American twist in dallas. I personally am not much of a southern food person, but my friend was in town and enjoys it and liked the place. We were running late for our reservation and they were kind enough to hold our table for 30 minutes which I really appreciate! Our waiter was awesome and gave us recommendations. We started off with sangria and aperol spritz which were solid. I got the frittata and she got the French toast. I actually loved how much flavor the frittata had and it had a good amount of balance of veggies and cheese. Her French toast was good as well, wish we had more berries.

Ambience, food and excellent service. Portions are really big and shareable
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance was absolutely the best thing about my two
The ambiance was absolutely the best thing about my two visits to the restaurant. Let me start by saying that I've given this place two chances. The first was about five weeks ago with my wife on a Friday after work for appetizers. We were seated immediately, and greeted quickly by the server which was a good start. Once we let it be known that we wouldn't be indulging in alcoholic beverages, we noticed a huge change in the server's attitude towards us.We ordered the Shishito pepper appetizer and the Mezze platter which both were better than anticipated, with impressive presentation. We felt completely dismissed once our appetizers were delivered. Nonetheless, we tried again last Saturday for a Birthday brunch. Same server, and I was hoping that the first experience was a one off. We felt very dismissed once again when nobody at the table ordered alcohol.Everyone else at my table got migas, but I got the brunch burger which was spot on! The migas portions were HUGE, and the flavors were pretty good based on my few bites. We really, really wanted to like this place for the overall ambiance, and hopefully this is a learning opportunity. The sober community is growing, especially in our own Oak Cliff neighborhoods. Just because we don't drink doesn't mean we wouldn't have loved a tasty beverage sans booze OR even more food off their menu. This was my first time feeling like my business wasn't appreciated or valued in a local spot. I hope it reaches the right person, respectfully.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was perfectly fine.
The pancakes were very small and the biscuits come with a whole lot of topping on them, drenching the biscuits. So if you do not like a ton of spicy gravy, make sure you ask for it on the side! They served us pretty quickly and the restaurant was nice.

We went here before the Mardi Gras parade so it was probably more crowded than usual. We had reservations and they were able to honor them which was great. Service was a little slow for first initial contact but fine after that and the food came quickly and we liked everything we got.
Be the first to ReplyMy girlfriends and I came for brunch yesterday.
I had the infamous blue corn pancakes and migas. To say the food was delicious would be an understatement. First the migas were so well seasoned and I'm shocked I enjoyed it without meat. It was a super large portion but luckily my friend and I were sharing our meal. The pancakes weren't overly sweet and were so yummy. Valarie was an amazing server which made the experience even better. I recommend adding this place to your brunch list!

That's really all I have to say. Jk. We came here for my niece's birthday. She wanted a brunch celebration. Part of 7 with reservation. We were seated at our table right away, and everyone's food was amazing. Highly recommend.

I loved this cute brunch spot! A couple of my friends and I had brunch here and we were so excited to find out that we could bring our dogs! The patio is dog friendly and covered which was perfect for a winter day. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is tiny, but we were able to find street parking just down the street. We ordered mimosas and they had some special seasonal flavors including pomegranate. The pomegranate mimosa wasn't too impressive, but my spiced apple mimosa was delicious! I ordered the egg sandwich was delicious and we also got the blue corn pancakes to share. The pancakes were definitely the star. I was apprehensive about the blue corn but I was not disappointed! They were so fluffy and delicious! Definitely a great option for Sunday brunch especially if you want to bring your furry friend along!

Funny how I didn't know about Encina a month ago but now it has joined my rotation of return brunch spots. While you will certainly have a wait, even with a reservation, it is well worth it. The amazing news is that anyone who was in que before they closed was still sat. The staff is a gem as they gently encouraged us to order by closing but didn't rush us out after they closed. We took advantage of the $20 mimosas - twice. The carafe of juice they bring is enough for a light pour in four glasses. There are multiple juice options for those that have bored of the classic OJ. Around the table we dined on the French Toast, Migas, Steak Hash, and Spiced Honey Glazed Pork Belly... all of which received head nods. The portions are American-sized so range from shareable to filling, depending on your appetite. Until next time...

Came to this place for brunch with friends and the food and service was great! The chilaquiles were good, although I recommend to ask for cheese on the side. The French toast was good and served with warm syrup. And did I mention that they have flavored mimosas?! I had the pineapple and my friend had grapefruit. Both were really good and refreshing. I will definitely be back!
