Prunes to die for..trust me on this!
Lovely little place. Delicious food, great service. And the prunes! Oh the prunes! Only thing that let's it down is the nightmare acoustics meaning us middle-aged folks with dodgy hearing struggled to hear each other the whole time. But gorgeous food. Light, well presented and fresh ingredients. Yummy.

What a great spot! The food was amazing, everything was put together so well it should earn a Michelin star at least. Wild boar, Hake cooked to perfection and spinach / ricotta malfatti for dinner. Only topped by the prunes and mascarpone for dessert. We sat at the bar and observed Victor hard at work, doing what needed to be done, yet had the time to be a gracious host and food concierge. We were sooooo happy we found this place. Not a spot to miss!

Really exceptional dinner at Etto. Food was superb. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and he made us feel very welcome. He was great at answering any questions we had and let us try the wine before we ordered. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Our experience was everything and more than we would have expected. It was truly the most exceptional meal that I have had in a very long time.

First time I have had to order 3 dishes!! In addition, this restaurant is not worth its reputation in terms of taste! Nothing very original and very expensive. You can find better elsewhere!!

Really great food with a fun and energetic staff. They made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching all of the magic happen behind the scenes. Food and wine were excellent! Definitely recommend! Book early!

Etto was a great experience. Service was excellent, great atmosphere and food quality was top notch . Croquettes starter and Hake main course were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend.
Be the first to ReplyBest Cote De Boeuf ever
Outstanding food . Best Cote De Boeuf I’ve ever had and magnificent service from Luca. Every one of us loved our food and the experience and I recommend that you try Etto yourself.

Would really like to thank all at Etto for the delicious food and atmosphere on Saturday. Especially the Sika Deer dish, that was epic I will definitely return and heartily recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTiny portions at high prices.
Etto offers interesting and unusual combinations of flavours, and the staff are efficient and friendly. But I found the food to be shockingly overpriced, given the portion sizes. For example, pumpkin tortellini (ordered as a main course ) cost 28 euros for a bowl containing only three (!!!) tortellini! These people cook well - I just wish they were more generous with their food.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, wonderful service, great atmosphere.
We had the mussels and the mackerel to start which were both gorgeous, then shared the Cote de boeuf which was outrageously good. The 2 gents serving us were attentive and knowledgable and the whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Atmosphere was fun and lively but the food was incredible!

Amazing food! Service 10/10 thank you Vitor and Luca! Can't wait to return. Great food and wine recommendations!

A very accomplished restaurant, exceptional food quality and flavours. great service with attentiveness throughout. Good wine selection. It is noisy and the tables are close together. Looking forward to dining there again.

Flawless food in an unpretentious and yet thoughtfully appointed room. Service is fantastic and all with premium wine list at more than fair price. Loved every minute and would love to have the same at home in Munich 🙏🏽❣️

Had a wonderful meal here. The restaurant has the feel of a classic bistro - the interior is plain and simple; the service is friendly and attentive and the food is truly outstanding. As with all great restaurants the passion and attention to detail are fantastic. We had some “nibbles” of suppli; hake and chorizo croquettes; and sourdough bread. All really really good; the suppli and the crust of the sourdough bread slightly outshone the croquette only because the hake and chorizo were a little lost in the croquette but it was still very enjoyable. We had a cured salmon starter with seaweed and cucumber which was absolutely divine - so many distinct flavours contained in this dish that worked so well.Definitely a highlight. For our mains we had grilled hake, which was both generous and perfectly cooked, and aged parmesan ravioli with broad beans, which was absolutely wonderful. Sadly we were too full to try the deserts. As good as the food was it didn’t outshine the service. Our waiter was friendly; extremely attentive without ever being overbearing and his knowledge and passion for the cooking really enhanced the whole evening. Can’t wait to go again.

Great location in one of the nicest parts of Dublin city centre. The Covid-era table partitions create a nice little booth table dining experience. The food is just incredible and the buzz in the restaurant is so pleasant. Can be quite busy so I’d recommend booking in advance

food was delicious and artistically plated! go in feeling hungry though because each person must order three dishes. would highly recommend for an affordable and tasty three course meal
Be the first to ReplyWas so good last night, we are going again tonight.......
We arrived without a booking, and were given a table outside, which we took as we did not want to wander around looking for another restaurant. Tuesday evening is always tight. The service personell were on the ball from the beginning, and this improved as the evening went on. Excellent staff - exemplary for the industry. We had some nibbles and a starter to share, and then the same main course and desert. Bottle of Primitivo an espresso to round off. If I ran a restaurant, I would be aiming to hire the chef and the service staff. We will return this evening and sit inside.
Be the first to ReplyJust amazing food and the prunes!
What a great experience, everything was delicious. We were a group of three, and started with hake croquettes, yummy. The starters were sublime, mussels, leeks and scallops, followed by equally great mains hake, gnocchi and lamb, with a side potatoes and onion, plates cleared. I have been talking of going for years and was told the prunes had to be experienced, oh boy did they deliver, prunes in red wine with marscapone, just go and try it, a cuddle in a bowl. All washed down with a delicious Picpoul de Pinet and dessert wines, we'll be back. The service was a joy, experienced staff and so knowledgeable. A relaxed restaurant with amazing food.

Dined here with my son recently as a birthday treat. A great atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff were very welcoming and our Italian waiter gave us an excellent recommendation on wine. The food was superb. We both opted for the lamb as our main course. We shared some nibbles & a mussel starter. Couldn't resist the desserts. Red wine prunes were very very nice. We will definitely return. Thank you to our Italian waiter who is an asset to this restaurant.

Popped in late on a Wednesday evening. The place was busy, but the superbly friendly staff found us seats at the bar. The menu is small, but that was not an issue as the food was so good. We had croquettes followed by possibly the best lamb we have ever had in a restaurant. For dessert we had the lemon rhubarb posset between us. It was exceptionally light and really tasty. The wine list is extensive, although we didn’t have any as we were exhausted from a day’s travel and would have fallen asleep before our did arrived. It arrived quickly even though it is cooked to order. Overall it was a terrific dining experience, value for money and highly recommended.

What a fantastic lunch we just had- from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and looked after. Every dish we tried was delicious but the highlight had to be the leek starter, a dish I'll remember for a long time. Next time we're in Dublin we'll be sure to book a table at Etto x

Beautiful, delicious food, delightful staff. One not to miss if you visit Dublin. A true delight. Small but beautifully formed. The staff were welcoming and enthusiastic about the food and wine they served. The food not only looked amazing, it was delicious as was the wine. A joy
Be the first to ReplyGood food, good service
A friendly welcoming restaurant with a cheerful atmosphere. Interesting menu with some inventive food. I had made a specific request in advance by email and they replied and met my request happily. Quite small (I think about 25 diners) and therefore quite noisy when everyone is chatting but that adds to the atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely stunning food!
Absolutely stunning food - enjoyed every single mouthful! We went as part of birthday weekend in Dublin - all staff congratulated me and were genuinely really lovely the whole evening. Food was absolutely excellent and I recommend trying the Slovenian Reisling too which was one of the best wines we've tasted! Really great meal to celebrate!
