This place is HORRIBLE! Do NOT order a pick up order with them. Last Friday, I ordered a meal and when I arrived home we were missing the fries that I had been charged for. No big deal so I thought. I contacted Chow Now who led me to the restaurant. I called and left a message on Friday. The restaurant's message states that they will contact you immediately. By Sunday, when I had not received a call. I left a second message. Monday, no one answered the phone at all. Tuesday, my assistant actually went to the restaurant and we were told that they cannot give a refund only a manager can and that they have no idea when a manager will be in. They suggested sending an email. This is BS! If you can take my money quickly, then you can refund it when you make a mistake just as quickly. Stop the run around. Father's Office should be ashamed of themselves.

Delicious food great beer! No substitutions and no way to get hot water (like for tea, or just warming your hands on a cold day).
Be the first to ReplyLA is or has been having a burger moment.
Almost to the point where it seems like it's a burger city as much as a taco city. Which brings me to the Father's Office burger. I remember standing in line to get into the tiny little place on Montana to try this burger with a few friends, when I first moved to LA almost 20 years ago. Fast forward a little bit now you can get a great gourmet burger almost anywhere in the city, but this was my first . And much like Father's Office, it seems like there's a relationship between a lot of these new places and craft beer. And much like this location, the old location always had a good selection of craft beer as well. Now, I don't get why some people complain about the whole ketchup or no modification thing. In my opinion, if the chef wants you to experience their food in a certain way I'm all for it and the burger served as-is is delicious. You got high quality meat and you got delicious complementary flavors from the cheese and caramelized onions. The bacon adds a crisp and saltiness while the arugula adds some earthiness to balance the burger out. I'm a fan. The location is a lot larger than the original location which allows to have a much more fun and jovial atmosphere. Lots of people coming here after work or meeting up with friends. This is definitely a spot I would like to come back to once in a while if I'm just craving one of their burgers and getting a nice beer with it.
Be the first to ReplyParking is available in the parking lot or in the garage.
When I went there, plenty of parking to be had which is great in LA. And the parking was free! Another great thing to find in LA. They bring the food to your table BUT you order at the bar with a bartender. They had a QR code that you could scan with your phone to get their menu. The food was generally good but some were definite passes as I did not find them flavorful but please remember that these thoughts are my own and you could find them the best thing that you've ever tasted. Everyone's taste buds are different ya know?I'll start with the bad and end with the good. The ribs... By far the most expensive thing on the menu and it was the least flavorful. I was so excited as I LOVE ribs and these were tender but no flavor even after dunking it in the sauce. The sauce definitely needed to be reduced further so that it would actually be a glaze instead of just liquid sauce that just glided off the ribs. Disappointing. The deviled eggs.. another dish that I was excited about. .. and sadly this one failed as well. They looked pretty. But the flavor was not there as well. I tasted something a tad bit sour and that was about it.. it was creamy... But sadly no flavor. Tater tots... Honestly come on... Has anyone messed up tater tots?? Actually people can but these were great! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Sauce was good but the tater tots by themselves were great. The chicharrones were crispy and dusted liberally with some red powder but it was not spicy AND the salsa Verde was So yummy!! I really wished that they had given us more sauce as we ran out of the sauce before we ran out of the chicharrones. But this I would order for sure! And if you love bone marrow... Then you'll love this one. It tasted like they had some form of gastrique on it as it had a slightly sweet sour flavor to it that perfectly cut the fat. It was yummy!! I haven't had bone marrow in a bit and it was great! If you like Piquillo Peppers and goat cheese then you'll like this one. If you don't either of the above... Don't get it. But since I like both it was great. I just wished that they could've given 4 pieces of bread instead of just 3 pieces. The Piquillo pepper had a slight heat and the creaminess of the goat cheese complimented that heat. Last and definitely not last, the burger. It was delicious! We ordered it medium and it came out more medium rare but I was totally fine with that as I prefer it more on the rare side vs well done side. The burger was juicy and the bitterness of the arugula countered the fat of the burger well. I would recommend this one! They also had beers on tap and ciders as well. The seats are on a first come first serve kind of situation. So if you want a table vs sitting at the bar, I would say come early and get a table. The ambiance was great! It was dark but instead of it being too dark, it was perfectly cozy. It did get loud as the place filled up fast especially for a Monday night... But it never got to the point that you couldn't hear your friends. I would recommend this place as a great place for a good bite of food and drinks with your friends!
Be the first to ReplyTheir beer selection is terrific.
The spicy chicken sandwich was phenomenal, one of the best I've ever had. I will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyGood food but what kind of restaurant doesn't accept cash?!
Good food but what kind of restaurant doesn't accept cash?! Cash is a currency so it is illegal not to take cash! There is no sign anywhere upon entering the restaurants stating that you don't take cash. Covid is over so why are you still insisting on being cashless! Unlawful and discriminatory toward people who may not carry credit cards with them.

Father's Office is still my go to place to satisfy my burger cravings. Big plus for me is they don't allow kids. It's never fun to have a happy hour with your friends and there's a screaming baby in the background or a kid covering their ears because you are having too much fun.If you want a vacation from your kids and destress from anything that is happening in your life then check out Father's Office. They are well known for their Office Burger and their fries. I also love their Deviled Eggs. You have to wash 'em down with their Beer selections. I love that they add the description in each of their beer with the % alcohol.Make room for dessert!
Be the first to ReplyI wouldn't recommend this venue.
....they take " no substitutions" to a different level. I was told they did not have ketchup for my flavorless fries and was also originally told they had no salt either. The food came out how they wanted to serve it and not by table or logical distribution ie...fries before the burger and my entree before the rest of the table. I really enjoyed my duck salad but wouldn't come back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat burger and tons of beer to choose from.
Went with some friends and we enjoyed all the dishes. Service was great too.

Absolutely no substitutions! Since I am paying for the food, it should be to my liking. Even BK knows how to please their customers.

Great place to hang out with friends, order a tasty burger and put a few cold ones down. Plenty of options on tap, bartenders are very knowledgeable and will lead you to unfamiliar but pleasant and savory suds. Great and friendly service, didn't have to wait long at all for the order to come out. Plenty of outdoor seating, sufficiently spaced. Just don't ask for ketchup or you will be frowned upon and escorted off the premises.

The host looked my husband up and down before seating us and asked for ID with a weird tone of voice (not mean but not friendly either). When we got inside I noticed people were extremely casually dressed just like my husband. I also noticed 98% of the guests were white so I couldn't help but wonder if that affected the host's behavior with us. This all actually kind of funny because the chef is Asian. The bartender was super nice though thankfully. The food was good but since we're in Los Angeles and there's plenty of other options for a $20 burger, we wont be coming back. It's a vibe, not my vibe.
Be the first to ReplyNot bad.
Burger was pretty good, however would have been better if I could get tomatoes and onions. Alas, modifications are banned. Gotta let go of that pride! That's how you get to 5 stars.

Meh. The octopus salad was extremely salty. Essentially drop the salt shaker on it salty. Bone marrow portion was very small - it was dry so you only got 2 teaspoons in the whole portion. Not to mention the toast was burned. If you need to skip a place, this may be the one to skip.
Be the first to ReplyLove this spot.
One of my favorites for date night. Pros: Great beer selection. Love their burger and their salt and vinegar tots. Cons: For those of you with kids, no kids allowed. For those of you who need ketchup with your fries, they don't have ketchup.

I was brought here on the way to the airport because according to my dad they make one of the best burgers. I LOVE burgers so I was excited. But unfortunately I did not like it at all. It was too salty for my tastes and just not what I hoped for - I was thinking classic burger and this definitely wasn't that. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries though and really liked their deviled eggsWe didn't drink but they seemed to have a great lineup of beers on tap. They also had a great outdoor seating space that seemed like it would be awesome for after work drinks with friends.
Be the first to ReplyThe burger is too good.
One of the best burgers in town. They have a great selection of beers.
Be the first to ReplyFather still knows best! The beer selection at Father's
Father still knows best! The beer selection at Father's Office remains a beer nerd's dream list. They basically have a prime selection of the finest local breweries such as El Segundo, Beachwood, Russian River, and Enegren, plus some of the most talked about brews from around the country. They also always seem to carry a few collaborations, which are a pleasant surprise. The food, you ask? Well, Father's $18 burger is everything--Wagyu, bacon, onion, Gruyรจre cheese, French roll, spinach. Need I say more? The bacon and onion spread is heavenly. You should know that they cook their burger to steak temps, meaning that a medium rare is ultra pink. No subs--Soup Nazi style. Ketchup is a trigger word--don't ask for it. The rest of the menu is also incredible. I've had almost everything. Pair the burger with fries or sweet potatoes. Caution, neither travel well, so they're only for eating in.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent burger and fries.
Their aioli dip was just right. As I don't drink alcoholic beverages I ventures on their iced tea. Delicious! Ah, need to mention the deviled eggs! Can't go wrong with that order! Will do it again!

For the prices they are charging, I would expect table service. The burger is truly mediocre. Great beer selection.

What stood out most was NO KETCHUP! Geez, Europeans love their Mayo/aoli but, ย they also always carry KETCHUP, Always. Especially since they are aware that some people are non dairy people and/or those people with dairy allergies. I don't know who they think are fooling with the NO KETCHUP because I don't think their version would be worse with ketchup compared with their gruyere, what do they think it's chic? Is not,as if! . Fries were good but, ketchup definitely enhances the fries better than their garlic parsley aoli(which sounds better than it is)). So we ended up eating the fries dry.

Drove over an hour to meet for a birthday to be turned down at the front indicating no kids allowed. Don't understand how a gastropub doesn't let kids in when brewery's let them in and even have board games for them to play with (yes I'm aware it's not strictly for the kids). My 10 month has her own seat in her stroller and there was plenty of room outside to be away from any type of obstacle for the stroller being "in the way". Definitely don't plan on coming back in the near future. It's not like their food is that good, still needs ketchup (which isn't allowed/provided here)
Be the first to ReplyI came here for the burgers and the beer.
And both were as good as advertised. But as a pro tip: do yourself a favor and get the bone marrow. Order a few.

This place has taken a nose dive in terms of service and food. Before the burger was probably 3-4 stars and the service was good/fast. Just went last week during weekday lunch, the burger was bland and overcooked. The fries were cold. But the worst part was the attitude from the servers there. Yes, I get it the pandemic has taken a toll on staffing... but at least get the burger right...
