Top Steak house
I am a BBQ and smoked meat enthusiast, I found an excellent value for money in this steak house, especially when compared to the average quality served in Manhatyan. Smoked meat ranging from $50 per kg for chicken up to around $70 for one of the best briskets you've ever eaten. Quite simple environment and very friendly staff

Great food, friendly service, affordable portions, large portions, easy to sample in groups

Really dry meat, both ribs and brisket. All food was made in advance. Donโt believe the hype. Stay away and find somewhere else

Excellent meat meal with superb taste. Both pork and beef are extraordinary. Only note, I would broaden the choice of side dishes by including chips and grilled vegetables which would make the dinner even more extraordinary. Nice atmosphere

I was looking for a free-range barbecue even if I didn't think of having to serve myself. In any case, excellent and well-prepared atmosphere and dishes, carefully selected beers on tap. Noisy, outdoor and indoor tables, casino at the counter to choose and pay. But this is exactly what I was looking for in the heart of Brooklyn

Friends of ours recommended we visit Williamsburg and have dinner at Fette Sau, and we werenโt disappointed. A meat lovers paradise with friendly and helpful staff who help create the perfect plate of food.

This authentic BBQ place is a must stop when in NYC. Located in a pleasant part of Brooklyn, this Bbq restaurant will not disappoint. Pork belly, ribs, sausages, sauerkraut, potatoes, and the tastiest pickles are all part of this restaurant's menu. Rustic and delicious. Medium price range. Recommend

Very delicious food...some meals are a little bist like in germany, for example the "Sauerkraut". Nice location in Williamsburg. We wanna go Therese again when we go from germany to the Big Apple.
Be the first to ReplyWell worth the visit !
Came in during the week late at night in January. No lines. Was afraid they would have run out of the best cuts, but we were in luck. As others have said, the brisket is superlative, but everything was nice. You buy usually by the half pound, but when you come in for seconds you can make it less. My new reference for my own BBquing attempts ! If you cannot go to the Southern states, this will do it.

If you don't look, you will miss this quaint little place. We went on New Year's Eve, it wasn't crowed but the atmosphere was fun. The bartender was very engaging and personal. So much so, that he treated us to some bagpipe music, even though it was his first time. Now onto the review. The bar and food are separate. You have to order the food at a separate counter and order your drinks from the bar across the hall. The food was great and the portions reasonable. We had the black Angus brisket with the burnt ends baked beans. The prices are fair considering we were in NY. The brisket was well done, just enough fat, tender and cooked all the way through. The baked beans were just about perfect. We also treated ourselves to the cornbread which was as expected for cornbread. All in all, a very pleasant experience in a tucked away part of Brooklyn. A must visit just for the atmosphere and some good bbq.
Be the first to ReplySmoked Meat and Adult Beverages! What More Could You Ask For?
We are certified judges for BBQ contests on weekends so we can be a bit of BBQ snobs. Most of society likes their BBQ overcooked until it is mush in your mouth. I had heard of this establishment from some other judges who said it was closer to our BBQ liking. We arrived and found street parking a couple of blocks away. The neighborhood, Williamsburg, is quite gentrified and a destination for many new New Yorker's. This is not fine dining, this is BBQ. You enter a garage and stand on line. When you arrive to the gentleman cutting meat you order the meats available by the pound, it is placed on a cafeteria style tray that is lined with brown butcher paper, you advance to the cashier who provides you with breads and then you find a seat at community style picnic tables. If you want an adult beverage that is another line. It all went very smoothly and we found a seat with no issue. We even chatted with some locals who were with their parents visiting from out of town. The meats were cooked very nicely. They had a number of their own sauces to sample. We had brisket, Ribs and some burnt ends baked beans. I enjoyed it enough to want and go back to sample more of their meats. I was happy with my experience and will be back.
