Very good food.
Caesar salad was excellent! Lobster was excellent. NY strip was fantastic. Mushroom side was great. Ambiance very chill.
Be the first to ReplyThe best meal I've had in Los Angeles by far.
Upon arrival and opening the front door you get a sense that you're in for something unique and cool. Staff is very attentive and friendly. We were taken cared of by Samantha. She provided us with the specials of massive porterhouse steak (I believe it was 40oz? - 12 oz bone) and others. She shared her faves and really helped make us feel excited about all the food to come. The night went smoothly, the ambience was chill and relaxed. Dim lit lighting with pop culture portraits lining the walls. Everyone in the restaurant was having a good time and sharing in discussions. Not really a great place for kids though... too dark and cramped to worry about small kids running around, though the yelling and screaming would be drowned out by the conversations all around. On to the food...For the nights order:Starters: Spicy ahi tuna cones, caviar, gold leaf-I love sushi and these were a wonderful start to the meal. Not too heavy, but easy to share. The caviar was a nice touch for saltiness with the sweet and spicy ahi following after. The gold piece was definitely and ego booster- I ate something with a hint of 'purity' lol Hamachi crudo, lime leaf, coconut dressing, serranos, finger limes- this was a citrusy, spicy, and coconut curry flavored dish that was so good. If I could, I would order 3 of these. The hamachi was light and melted in your mouth while the other flavors just filled your senses with vibrant flavors! Good balance of flavors for sure!Main:Prime bone-in ribeye, Pommes Gaufrettes, Creekstone farms, 22ozSide order of peppercorn sauce.- the steak is shown to you prior to cooking it. It was massive, with a nice sized cap on the ribeye. I ordered it as the chef would want it- med rare. It came out perfect. Juicy. Flavor filled. Melting like butter in your mouth. Honestly this could've been eaten without any additional sauces, but the sauce it came with as well as the peppercorn sauces were so complimentary in their own way. This steak was enough to share with my wife (especially with all the other dish orders we had). This steak was freaking delicious. I mean if I could kiss the chef I would... so good!Sides:Miso glazed shiitake mushrooms- I enjoy miso glazed anything and so this dish peaked my interest. It was soft and lightly chewy. It was a substantial amount of mushrooms that were prepared. You could basically get full off of these. Sweet and savory. A definite must-try for miso lovers and mushroom lovers.Fia Steak truffle mashed potatoes-as soon as you have the plate placed on the table the smell of truffles fills the air and you are watering at the mouth. Soft, creamy, with small chunks of mashed potatoes. Easily mixed in with sauces, steak, mushrooms, etc. It was a safe choice to have on the table :)Dessert: 30 min prep (order at the start)Chocolate soufflé, Mankato chocolate, Grand Marnier Anglaise- the dessert was hot and fresh. The milk was poured over the soufflé and it was just beautiful. The taste soft and velvety. Warm and cozy with each bite. I wish I were at home watching a fave movie eating this soufflé. Just a dessert hit for sure. Chocolatey and warm. There were complimentary bread sticks and red pepper Fougasse (similar to focaccia bread). This came with salt, butter, and A5 wagyu steak spread (similar to the au jus and steak fat in solid form) to smother on your bread. It reminds me of Filipino chicken/pork adobo sauce when you put it in the fridge and it gets slightly firmer. This isn't off putting to me bc I love that flavor and it was just a great home cooking flavor I'm used to. A truffle soup with porcini mushroom was provided at the start as well. A perfect tasting starter to begin the meal- it had a rich flavor. At the end of the meal Samantha provided some sweet treats to end the night. I thought that was a perfect end to our night. However we were treated to another surprise which I won't mention in this review as I don't want to give a spoiler if you should be so fortunate to be given a special secret invitation ;) All in all, Fia Steak is an amazing place to have a splurge celebration with a loved one or two ( maybe a small party). The manager, Katie, was also so friendly and accommodating- she helped make the night even more special! It's definitely a premium price for the premium service, ambience, and quality of food. 5 stars for this wonderful establishment. My wife and I Will. Visit. Again! Thanks for everything!

First off, Samantha and Katie are absolute gems! They are true salt of the earth people and Fia is lucky to have them. They made our ENTIRE experience something to remember for a lifetime (but don't worry Samantha, we'll be back sooner than that)! Here's what you need to know, make reservations and then prepare for your life to change for forever, that includes your tastebuds too! From checking in with the hostess to the wait staff and everyone in between, the service was absolutely exceptional. They went above and beyond to make you feel at home, at ease, and they clearly love the establishment. Kudos to the entire team because that comes from amazing leadership. Now we did our research and looked on Yelp at all the pictures and read every review so we were ready to order when we got there. We even skipped drinks!!!We got the delectable tuna cones and the outstanding hamachi crudo. If my night ended with just these two starters my life would be complete. But I would honestly order another crudo because you only live once, right? And then...came the complimentary focaccia bread with house made butter and waygu drippings. I mean come on! AH-MAZING! But then the most amazing complimentary porcini mushroom and truffle soup came out and I knew that our night was just getting started. I was in for the time of my life. Then, like a dream, the truffle mashed potatoes arrived, followed by the miso glazed shiitake mushrooms and our 22 oz. bone in rib-eye that we decided to share. Now I know what you're thinking, mushrooms? You guys these were as life changing as the crudo! So incredibly meaty and the sauce was out of this world with a surprising and spicy kick at the end. Not spicy like you have to drink lots of water, but just a nice underlying little surprise at the end. And the steak, oh my goodness! How can something taste so incredible? The meat was cooked to perfection so moist and perfectly seasoned. We did order the peppercorn sauce on the side but we honestly did not need it. Like I said, the ribeye was perfection. We ended up putting the peppercorn sauce on the mashed potatoes and that was so, so, so delightful. And then, ever so glad we decided to share, our chocolate soufflé came out in the most beautiful gold cup and saucer! Samantha poured the Grand Mariner anglaise over the top of the soufflé and it was like watching food art. We grabbed our spoon and dug into the warmest chocolate against the cool anglaise on top. Oh my word. This was simply the best meal of my life. I'll say it again, the best meal of my life. And I've had my fair share of meals. I've been a Yelp elite member pre-mommy life!A word of advice, order the soufflé when you order your meal. It takes 30 minutes to prepare and it even says so on the menu. The couple to our right didn't and so they had to wait at the end of their meal.Do yourself a favor and book your reservations now. Say hello to Samantha and Katie for us! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.Alright, it's time to for me to sign off and book our next trip down to this magical establishment.

Excellent decor. Wonderful experience
Be the first to ReplyWe came here for the first time last week.
The food was pretty good, I just wish the service was little better.

Food was fantastic!! From the bread all the way to the chocolate soufflé, every bite was an experience! The bread came with creamy butter but more importantly a bone marrow jelly that made a great complement to it. The foie gras was very flavorful and the caramelized apple took it to the next level. The NY steak melts in your mouth and Fia gives you a signature steak knife to enjoy your meal. The potatoes were incredible! They made a perfect complement to eggs for next day breakfast:) The service was very attentive starting with the hostess who usually works at Fia (next door restaurant) to the waiter and those helping him. We were seated outside and they did such a nice job with the decor, you wouldn't know the difference. Well, maybe the rain made it little noticeable. The meal wasn't cheap but totally worth it for special occasion or special someone.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and highly instagramable.
The shareable steaks were great. And truffle mashed potatoes are an absolute must.
Be the first to ReplyI had diner at Fia Steak the other night for the first time.
What I can assure you is that this will not be the last time I eat there. While the restaurant itself is easy to find on wilshire blvd it is important to know that there are two restaurants at the one location. Fia and Fia Steak. I accidentally went into Fia but was easily directed within the same structure to Fia Steak. The ambience of the place was very cool. The music artist artwork in the room we were sat was awesome. Who doesn't want to enjoy a fantastic meal while looking at art of Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash and NWA . I started with a really nicely done Manhattan with 12 yr knob creek. Okay well maybe I started with two. We shared some wine with dinner from a local winery recommended by the Som. The service was impeccable as well. There seemed like there was a different person for whatever you needed. Order a drink from your server (ours was Carl and Carl was my guy!). Someone else brings you the drink. Someone else brings you the water. Someone else folds up your napkin when you go to the restroom. The Som for the wine. Their staff was all fantastic! Now the meaty party of the night (all puns intended). I usually do not enjoy ordering the entire meal at once because the pacing is not to my liking. However Carl made sure to keep things paced just perfectly. We never got to the point where we had something in front of us and the next thing was coming. The bread service was really good and accompanied by a couple of chef inspired butters. But before the bread was this delightful chef sent mushroom soup. I don't usually deal with mushrooms but I wasn't turning anything away from this experience. For appetizers we ordered the scallops and lobster bisque which was a flavor explosion. Perfect scallops just perfect. We also got the table side grilled Caesar which I would recommend if you want to try something different from your traditional Caesar salad. We shared crème spinach. Scallop potatoes and asparagus. Our mains were the bone in ribeye and the petite filet. What was nice is that yet another person brought the steaks out and presented them to the table prior to cooking. A nice touch versus just seeing a tray of steaks before the meal as option. Our steaks were perfectly cooked. The flavor was marvelous. The sides were delicious. It truly was one smile after another throughout the meal. Each steak comes with a bearnaise sauce. I personally do not sauce steaks but did try it for the flavor. For dessert we shared the sticky toffee with ice cream. Again the chef sent a few little tidbits along with that included a delightful macaroon. If I could give the restaurant six stars I would but the extra star would be the price. Fia Steak is not inexpensive. It actually felt a little more expensive than the standard expensive places I go to. That being said. I will be back for more of this experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe had the most fantastic evening at Fia Steak.
Every employee we encountered was lovely, kind and knowledgeable. They made us feel so special. I meant to get names but was overwhelmed with the amazing food and forgot. That said, our waiter, the bartender, the sommelier, and our busser were out of this world. Our waiter was especially fun and made us feel like the only table in the house. We didn't order cocktails so I can't speak to the bartender's drinks specifically, but we were seated at the bar so we got to interact a lot. He was so personable. He even explained the backstory behind certain cocktails which was interesting! The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Fia Steak is obviously a fancier place and not cheap. However, it feels worth it completely because every detail is thought of. From providing an amuse bouche to showing us our steak before cooking it, Fia seems to go out of its way to make you feel special. Of course, none of the above would matter as much if the food wasn't good. Not the case here! It's hard to even pick my favorite dish because everything was stellar! We ordered the deviled eggs (amazing amazing amazing), cavatelli (possibly the best pasta dish I've ever had), NY steak (cooked perfectly), dauphinoise potatoes (rich but not too much), and table side caesar (expertly made by our waiter). The restaurant also provided a great bread platter with butter, tallow and salt as well as an amuse bouche of a mushroom soup. I'm not capturing how fantastic the soup was -- it may have been the best dish of the night! Overall, we had a fantastic time and will be back for special occasions!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful little spot with good food and good drinks.
Would definitely be back for the kanpachi, crispy duck and crispy Brussels.
Be the first to ReplyI've been to Fia for brunch and it was great.
Decided to try Fia steak. As I love going to steakhouses. It did not disappoint. Everything was amazing! Super yummy. We had the steak tartare, table side Ceasar. I love when restaurants make their own Cesar dressing. This oneDid not disappoint! We also had the ribeye and lobster risotto. For dessert sticky toffee pudding. Everything was really good. The service and ambiance was also lovely. Deena was our waitress. She was delightful. I would definitely go back. Definitely in my top 5 steakhouse list!

Wow, just had one of the most spectacular experiences at fia steak. The attention to detail on service and each dish from Rico and Bryan (Brian) should be applauded. Our booth right in front of the wood fire grill was such a treat, watching all the magic being made by the chefs. The dark lighting, big comfortable booths near a luxurious bar and trendy art. I felt transported into a different place seating inside, samo you are lucky. The food, not only looks like art but the flavors blew me out of the water. I am not one to venture out of the burgers, pizza, grease bomb diner spots, but this is a treat for mind, body, and waistline. I hope to celebrate some more amazing meals here. Seating looks limited and very intimate so it never feels overcrowded. Valet and street meter parking is also an option.
Be the first to ReplyWaaaay overpriced and overhyped.
Wait staff was so unfriendly and literally ran away before we could finish a sentence any time we tried to speak to them. We had a bug in our drink and they rolled their eyes at us and just brought us a clean glass but didn't replace the drink. The branzino was the saltiest and most disgusting fish I've ever had which includes salted canned fish. The Tuna appetizer was the only good thing and we ordered half the menu with our large party. Don't waste your time here
Be the first to ReplyCame to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint.
Food and service was phenomenal. Will definitely be back. Odered grapes of wrath and it was delicious; the perfect amount of sweet. Cucumber dill was strong and different than a regular Cucumber martini but also good. Their complementary bread is delicious! Side orders: truffle mash, shiitake mushrooms Shared a bone in porterhouse

Not sure how I missed sharing my thoughts about my experience at Fia Steak. Needless to say, this is well over dueSo, I'll start off with parking. Valet parking offered. Lots of street parking available though. I've not had an issue finding parking, both on Wilshire and on the side streets. Just read the signs re: permits and other restrictions. And, in typical Ran fashion, the evening I dined here with friends, I showed up early for our late reservation (9PM). I showed up around 8. Plan was to sit at the bar and enjoy an adult beverage or two. I ended up having three. Three Clarified Milk Punches. Read the description on their menu. It hit the spot for me and if our tastes align ... Dustin, the magic man behind the bar not only took care of me while waiting to be seated with my friends, he also took care of us, coming out from behind the bar to make sure my friends' drinks were to their liking. He even remade one. Excellent service. And it didn't stop there. Ben, and his team made sure me and my two friends were treated like royalty. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable providing awesome suggestions; from the appetizers to the desserts. To the food - I knew I wanted steak and if you know me, you know I prefer mine rare. And rare is how it came out. See pics. Ben even made sure to check to see if it was to my liking. It was. And it went well with all the rest of the dishes that my friends and I shared. I don't remember all the names of the dishes but there wasn't anything I didn't like. I even devoured the bread and butter. I could go on and on but know that Ben and his team made it an amazing experience for us. Question is not whether I'll go back, but when and who wants to join me!

Be the first to ReplyWent to Fia Steak in Santa Monica with another couple on
Went to Fia Steak in Santa Monica with another couple on Saturday June 25, 2022. The restaurant is very nice inside. The decor is somewhat old school with pictures of Martin Scorcese on the wall, very interesting pictures of women in various poses. The Men's room also has pictures of women partially clothed or nude.We were greeted by the Sommelier who offered various houses of Champagne and or caviar. Seemed like a set up but he was nice and personable. Our Server was not so nice. She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. Although they call this a Steakhouse, I would not compare it to Mastro's, the Palm or the old Wolfgang's. This is a wanna be place. A NY Strip is the Quintessential steak. The one we ordered was 14 oz. about 1/2 in thickness at best and was far from what these other steakhouses would serve. All through the evening, I felt like I was being sold something I didn't want. ( Like a used car salesman)Our server was pushy to get our order and we wanted to try several thing so we did shift our order around a bit, maybe this was not to her liking. Food service was slow. We started with cocktails, A great Negroni but the charge was $20 plus and extra $5 for some unknown reason. This was on each drink that was served. Gin Martini $22 plus $5!! We ordered the Steak Tartare and the Tuna Tartare. The latter to be done tableside but we never saw them do it at the table. They were both very good. The bread service was also very good. Second course- Ravioli Carbonara! This was excellent but came out on the cold side. Not warm or hot at all. We shared this among the 4 of us. 3rd Course was the NY Strip and the Lobster Risotto with half a main lobster tail. We also had the Miso Glazed Mushrooms and the grilled asparagus. As mentioned the steak was not up to Steakhouse portion and was also not hot or warm. It was room temperature. Although our server had told us more than once that the steak was not really a sharing size and it was meant for one person, we couldn't even finish it. Maybe because it was over salted and wasn't a great piece of meat! The Risotto had some odd seasoning. We found out later it was tarragon but I think there was Cinammon and Nutmeg as well. This was not a dish to repeat. The Mushrooms were over Misoed and the asparagus were covered with sauce, maybe Hollandaise and some egg whites chopped up. Never told about this when the asparagus were mentioned. By the way, the steak came with Bernaise. I like bernaise but if the steak is a quality piece of meat, you do not need a sauce to go on it.The conclusion is that this is a very pricey place. The service was below average and the the food was disappointing. Not coming back. There are so many better places in Santa Monica and the West Side. This is not one of them.
Be the first to ReplyFound this hidden gem two weeks ago after dinner at DONO,
Found this hidden gem two weeks ago after dinner at DONO, we wanted to have a drink somewhere and stumble ( not from being drunk) but walked in and found this cute SPEAKEASY STEAKHOUSE. It really is. Our bartender Dustin was a mixologist for sure. When you are a Vodka drinker only, it was nice to ask him to mix me something " Fruity & Fabulous!" Just like me. :PHe didn't disappoint. After seeing the vibe and having the cocktails, my girlfriend and I were like " Let's have dinner here!" so, last night we finally did. My foodie friend showed up 45 minutes early and by that time, guzzled already 2 drinks, knowing my girlfriend will be late- decided to join him. We got seated in the main section. ( 3 tables only) love the booth vibe and seeing the action from the beef station. We ordered waayyy too much, but we knew we wanted to try everything. Sides/appetizers are large, so do share. Our server was amazing, the maitre de Ben was exceptional and overall made our experience wonderful! Not a place that we would go regularly, since I can't eat all that beef and spend $$$$$$$ every week, but definitely a place when you know your going to have a delicious meal and great service! Hopefully I'll " MEAT" a nice guy to take me here!

OK I'm not even sure how to begin because this was unlike any other dining experience I've ever had. I know it sounds ridiculous but I've never felt so loved as I did while being served 6 feet away from the chef and catered to by the maître d'. The caviar tartare and the steak and the potatoes and the bread with the butter was out of this world. They also gave a decadent amuse-bouche lobster ravioli that offered an orgasmic flutter of flavors! BRAVO FIA! Also the chef is very handsome ;)
Be the first to ReplyFia steak all around was absolutely incredible.
The restaurant's ambiance is intimate and comfortable and a great place to enjoy an evening.Everyone working was very attentive and helpful. This is a place that you will feel that everyone in the restaurant is there to make you have a really great experience. There are may very fine steak houses in LA and I don't think the names or comparison's are necessary other than Fia Steak's dishes and steak itself are all absolutely incredible. There is clearly an extra step or two (or three?) that makes every dish just better. Thank you to the bartender, hostess, server, chef and everyone else for a wonderful evening!
Be the first to ReplySuch a hidden gem.
From the street, the restaurant is very unassuming. You walk down a long outdoor walkway into a gorgeous patio with lots of garden lighting. Definitely try to sit outside and you'll enjoy the ambiance whether you are on a date or just hanging out with friends. Everything on the menu sounded delicious but since we couldn't order everything especially since there were only 2 of us, we chose something from each main category. Appetizer: squid ink calamari - its squid ink so doesn't always photograph well. Each bite was flavorful with a great crunch and not oily at all. Vegetables: Brussels sprouts- crispy and tastyPasta- homemade Cavatelli. Truffle shaved at your table over the pasta. Pasta cooked perfectly and wasn't overly heavy. I could eat this over and over. Entree- We shared the special which was a 14oz bone in filet with truffle butter melted table side. Steak cooked perfectly and omg the truffle butter added another level of goodness. Dessert - chocolate dome - melted table side. This was a chocolate lovers dream. A little too sweet for me but presentation was gorgeous. The flow of the meal was great. Allowed us to enjoy every dish without being overstuffed. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Where my steak eaters at?! If you haven't checked out the new steak house on the west side, stop what you're doing and make a reservation now!! Fia Steak is expectedly or unexpectedly awesome depending on how much you know about the culinary greats of the area. This place has an old school steakhouse vibe coupled with modern decor and an approachable serving staff. I'd have to say they hit all the marks for me.The portions are hearty, so do ask a lot of questions about how much food you're ordering. However, even if you order way too much like we did, it sure does make for great leftovers. With only 2 seatings on weekend nights, the staff wants you to kick back and truly enjoy your entire dining experience without feeling rushed. Plus who wants to pay high-end prices with a clock counting down for your stay. We ordered the 45 day aged Del Monico steak which was absolutely worth every dollar, the Branzino which was so simply and elegantly done, the Grilled Mushrooms which will make you swoon, the Grilled Peruvian Prawns special which blew our minds, and the White Asparagus special which was an entire experience in and of itself. We had the best meal and can't wait to come back to try out more delicious dishes. Sit back, tuck your napkin in your collar, and take it all in. This place is epic.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a hard pass.
Nice setting and waitress. Caesar salad was over dressed and garlic filled so much that I can't kiss my husband tonight. Steak was fatty and undercooked. Octopus was too spicy. Shrimp appetizer under done. Whole meal with drinks and half bottle of wine was $500. Terrible value for quality of food.
Be the first to ReplyIn LA from Miami and after 4 days of eating my way through
In LA from Miami and after 4 days of eating my way through town, celebrating my boyfriends 30th birthday, this dinner was our favorite. Whatever you choose to get, get the burrata starter. Message me here thanking me later! It is simply sensational. Simple, yet so delicious and topped with a 161537161515yr old balsamic vinegar so you can't go wrong. For our main course we ordered the mushrooms which were delicious and the NY steak which was cooked to perfection. We also got the brussel sprouts and had to send it back because I believe they were undercooked and flavorless. Nevertheless, the staff was so accommodating and apologized and this one thing did not ruin my experience at all. It was all so delicious besides it. Even though my experience was phenomenal I won't give this a 5 star review for 1 reason, a reason that to most may not be crucial but coming from a hospitality and fine dining background I believe it is. Our waitress; beautiful young lady and the service she provided was excellent, was dressed as if she worked at a diner. There is something so elegant about cohesiveness in a front of a house staff that this place lacks tremendously. If I can leave them any feedback, it is to invest in a uniform for their servers and require them to pin their hair back. A fine dining experience such as this one ($300 dinner) requires a polished server and in this space it lacked that. Needless to say that burrata will have me coming back next time I am in town.
Be the first to ReplyLast night was a nightmare at this place.
We've been here before and food was amazing. Not sure what happen last night. Steak was horrible. We got the rib eye, lamb and wagyu. All 3 meats was tasteless considering the fact that it's a steakhouse I was expecting a lot more from this place. We complained to the waiter but he didn't seem to care much. He said the meat probably had too much fat in it or if we wanted it cooked more. Zero star service zero star food.
