Fish Catch L.A. Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Brunch : MRC roll and catch roll are delicious.
Wagyu is incredible! Must try! Crispy chicken sandwich...underwhelming, kind of a dry sandwich but the chicken itself is juicy and crispy. -1 star for parking, slow service/inattentive staff, and strange towel attendant in restrooms.
Request Eric, he's kind and goes out of his way.
Food was immaculate, drinks were great. Will be back for sure

The ambiance is amazing the food is great! The service is unbelievably TERRIBLE. The one star has everything to do with how they treat ppl. If you aren't popular they will treat you like you are worthless. Please don't visit this place until they fix the problem this is too of the list worse customer service.

The wait staff do not understand service, courtesy and simple respect. They do not honor reservation requests even when you show them you have a reservation confirmation DAYS in advance. These days there are better much places that better honor customer patronage and reflect professionalism in their customer interactions. I speak with my wallet. Catch will never get my business ever again.
Such a pretty restaurant and excellent customer service.
Lovely atmosphere and there's heater if you get cold at night. Food is amazing but def overpriced since everything is over $30. Parking is hectic so either Valet or far street parking, just need to read the sign since you can't park in front after the evening. Food comes out super quick and I really enjoyed it. 4 dishes for 3 people was enough we were full
Horrible experience.
Everyone's meal arrives 15 minutes apart from each other; almost every meal was incorrect, my dads food arrived while everyone was eating desert and yet they still got it wrong. They overcharged us. And the food was not good at all. For being charged $40 per meal this is horrible food and service.

What can I say? AMAZING food!! Beautiful atmosphere!
What can I say? AMAZING food!! Beautiful atmosphere! Excellent service! The general manager Tim even came by our table and congratulated my son on his graduation. We had a time celebrating our son and we couldn't have chosen a better restaurant! We loved the wagyu steak with truffle fries. The sea bass was to die for!!! A gem of a restaurant!! Highly recommend!

This is definitely an experience to have if you're in the area or visiting. As soon as you walk out of the elevator you're transported to a beautiful oasis overlooking Melrose blvd. Bar tenders are very attentive, as well as the servers, something about having every single staff person enjoying their job just makes the overall experience and presentation phenomenal. If it's your first time ask for their recommendations but our favorites were the Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll, catch roll, and the lobster Mac and cheese. The truffle fries, octopus and bao buns are also great sides to order. Expect small portions if you're not used to ordering sushi rolls, and expect to crave and order more after devouring them. Overall experience was amazing! Arrive early to look for parking, and walk to the restaurant, also make the reservation on OpenTable to avoid waiting outside. Will definitely be coming back.

A pleasant surprise! Went to Catch because it was a special occasion and truthfully, was expecting it to be one of those restaurants that were just aesthetically decorated with mediocre food, but was proved wrong. The food was yummy! The flavors are great and everything is cooked just right. Portions are on the smaller side, but you can still leave full. The few things stopping me from giving five stars is that it is a pricey menu that I don't think is necessarily justified with the food, and service was a little lacking once the food arrived.
Good food.
Nice atmosphere. Very clean. Very classy. Too expensive for the small portions. Not sure I will return
Customer service was above and beyond and so was the food!!
Customer service was above and beyond and so was the food!! I came in to celebrate my birthday and I have to give a shoutout to the manager, Loki, because without him I don't think our experience would have been the same! He accommodated our requests, gave us a wonderful table with plenty of room for everything we got (I would dare say we had the best seats in the house!) and he checked in with us to make sure we were happy and that I got my birthday dessert. Our server Michael was also very attentive and friendly! I prefer my drinks on the sweeter side so he was able to get me a Strawberry Spritz with a little extra sweetness, they were so good I ended up having three! And the lobster macaroni was to die for, I can't wait to go back to get it again! I also really appreciated the attentiveness of support staff, I wish I got his name but there was a gentleman who made sure our water was always refilled and our table was always clean, and it definitely added to the elevated feel of the experience and we never had to ask for anything! And of course, the HIT ME dessert was just perfect!!

We (3 people) ordered the Catch Roll, Lettuce Wrap, and Crunchy Rice for around $75 total, 7 bites each and I didn't find it worth it. We had to add the Wagyu Fried Rice to feel full. You're definitely paying for venue, the tables are not uniform and are pretty for pictures, as well as the very Instagrammable front walkway. Our waiter was impatient and spilled food when serving. This was more of a one and done deal (just to say you've been here!)
I really liked the atmosphere here.
You have to go online and really try to get a reservation ahead of time. I actually booked it about four days in advance. We came here for my sons birthday. He was turning 22. They have a to die for cake that everybody loved, and they have a lot of signature cocktails, beautiful scenery opportunity for some pictures for your social media.

I just went, and the hostess wanted to charge me 30 for each person just for letting us go, and just for not having reverberation, they had told me that it was a very good experience to visit the catch, but after today, on the contrary, I am abused by the employees

I came here to celebrate a Birthday for a friend who came into town from Texas and we were not able to celebrate properly as we could not eat the cake that he brought. When we inquired why we couldn't have the cake, we were told it was a case by case situation, without stating what the case was. When the reservation was made, we were not notified of this "policy". This is unacceptable. Get it together.
Food was okay.
Problem was that we came to dinner for a friend's bday. We brought a cake but they wouldn't allow us to have it at the table. But!!!!!! They allowed a dog in the restaurant. The reason for the dog was "it's technically outside". When I asked the waitress she said "it's a case by case basis". Very disappointing. Will not be coming back.

After 5 years I revisited and they still got it even though it was the brunch menu to be fair. I kid you not that brunch menu was pretty good! Truffle sashimi tuna/hamachiiii yes! Crunchy cakes,Steak and eggs and the dutch baby very good.

A NO for us.
Food-fair Service -fair Cost- high The only thing above board was the security that will make you feel as if you are entering a bank with a gun. Enjoy!

The amazing ambiance was full of lights and decorative flowers. 10/10 for the decor. The food was great, but really was hoping for more variety dishes. The service was outstanding, the waitress suggested dishes I could eat, because I don't eat beef. The drinks were really strong, and fruity. I really like this restaurant, very cute!

Sexy, trendy and fun! A modern take on traditional sushi with a delicious result! A little noisy and a bit pricey. Your paying for the great service, location and overall vibe...a very pleasant visit!
Overall it was nice experience.
The food taste good! Especially like the shakshuka. Overall the food portions are small compared to the price. But I got nice pictures at the hallway anyway :p
Catch LA is one of our favorite spots to visit no matter
Catch LA is one of our favorite spots to visit no matter what time and day it is; they offer different varieties of excellent food and have a very relaxing and laidback vibe and atmosphere. Our server was also very professional and patient, informing us when our food would be served, which is exceptional. Tartare trio - it has salmon, tuna, and hamachi with some chips on the side, which complimented very well, especially when dipped with the wasabi crème. Crispy shrimp - delicious and flavorful, the spicy mayo blends very well with the shrimp. Lobster macaroni - the breadcrumbs add a crispy consistency to the dish, which was phenomenal. The anytime waffle tower - not overwhelmingly sweet, a combination of milk chocolate and raspberry ice cream with waffles in between topped with almonds, just beyond perfection. Skinny b - cucumber and lime flavored drink, which is super refreshing. Revitalizer - the kick of ginger was a bit strong for my liking, but if ginger is your fave, this is a non-alcoholic beverage for you.

The portions were kinda small nevertheless the food was great. Drinks were really good.
This place is ridiculously over priced and over rated.
The only reason we went here was my friend said that he had heard about a piece of fish on the menu that was suppose to be amazing. I'll give the ambiance of this place a 7/10, it's nice but then they sat us at a big booth cut in half so we are staring straight into 4 other peoples eyes trying to eat. Food is a 5/10, we got the "Truffle sashimi" it is over whelmed by truffle oil, you can barly taste the small piece of sashimi for $40! We got the crispy tuna rice cake.. that wasn't bad, but you really can't mess that up. $24 for one piece cut in thirds. We also got the filet which was actaully very good and the infamous branzino which was the whole reason we went there and that was underwhelming at best. $50 I feel like this place might have been cool at one point but now it's only a tourist trap or attended by the people that couldn't get in when it was at its peak. Save yourself the money and go to any other place. Our bill was $400 before tip!

We saved this for our last night out and loved every bit of it. We sat in the pseudo outdoor area along the side which was lovely and not stuffy at all. Our server was so sweet and informative and the food came out literally within 4 minutes each time we ordered something. The crispy shrimp was yummy and filling - kinda like deep fried in a sweet/sour sauce but the filet skewers were my son's all time favorite! We had the grilled octopus which was probably our least favorite item - I think it was the sauce which wasn't the best. The hamachi crudo and cut rolls were tops and the spinach artichoke salad was ok - not a ton of dressing and a lot of truffle. The finale was the salted snickers pie which we all devoured and will remember forever. super decadent. Overall - loved the vibe, service, flavors and even came with a celebrity sighting. Will come back and try more items!!
