Delicious asian cuisine in NYC!
Amazin food and extremely friendly staff! Delicious dishes were served with fresh and well done supplies. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic sushi and other asian dishes.

Amazing food and pretty fast service. Great outdoor seating. Did the hibachi here and really enjoyed it! We came here a couple of times and went here the other day for dinner. We had dim sum, hibachi noodles, and the shrimp avocado roll. Highly recommend!!

Went to this place without checking any review, as I was craving for Sashimi.
Was not disappointed. The sashimi was religious and the variety of dishes impressive.
Excellent sakรฉ too.
The restaurant has different spaces, from cosy to the live chef experience, so for all occasions.
Bravom
To busy crowded not good
Obviously popular. Large parties seemed to have fun.
Service was slow. Varying quality on food.
Spring roll was good. Pad thai ok. Sushi, not good. Chicken very dry.
Service was stressed. Toilets out of order. Sodas blend.
Food delivered randomly.
Great Flaming Asian cuisine
Great Flaming Asian cuisine (hibachi)- went in with my family- the menu has a mix of Asian fusion - sushi- dim sum - hibachi- we ate hibachi - food is delicious had the steak and shrimp - comes with an appetizer- rice and vegetable- my daughters had some California rolls and crispy duck buns - and noodles - all was great - the fun part is to watch them flame up the grill -itโs quite entertaining they sing and cook - the whole experience is super fun - would definitely go back - great for families - groups and birthdays - UWS

We took our chances on this restaurant without consulting TA.
We went for the 17usd sashimi and sushi menu. A good miso soup and a salad are served beforehand. The main platter consists of 6 big slices of sashimi, 4 pieces of sushi and a California roll. All of excellent quality.
With 37usd for two our best price quality of the trip.
Great experience! Very good food
Very funny moment, an original idea and good food!
We loved the concept to see the chef cooking in your front, playing with fire,...

We had a great experience and dinner at the Flame, chef Ronnie made a great atmosphere and Aziz was our server did a great job taking care of everyone! This was our first time at a Hibachi restaurant and we are glad with our decision! Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyFlame Hibachi restaurant - West 82nd St - Manhattan
Flame is an Asian (mostly Japanese cuisine) restaurant in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. While the food (suchi, hibachi-prepared meats and fish...) are well prepared, the dining experience for people past adolescence is frequently marred by noise levels reminiscent of the Concorde (remember the Concorde!) flying just over your head. The noise comes from the waiters smashing bongo-drums to help celebrate one of the (young) diner's birthday - amidst shouts of Happy Birthday also at Concorde-level decibel levels. And there will always be two or more such Happy Birthdays during your dinner. To emphasize the Asian feel of the place, only chopsticks are offered - which is odd, given that the non-Asian dish of guacamole is also on the menu (try eating guacamole with chopsticks!) - so you must ask for conventional spoons and forks from the pleasant bu not very attentive waiters. Since the food is actually quite good, this is a gustatory "find" for the boorish youth. For others - there is much more rant-ing than rest-ing in the rest-au-rant.
