Fleming by Le Bilboquet, an elegant French restaurant
Fleming by Le Bilboquet, an elegant French restaurant nestled in the Upper East Side, exudes a cozy and classy ambiance that sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The star of the evening was undeniably the Cajun chicken. A pro-tip: don't hesitate to ask for an extra side of the sauce; it elevates the dish to a whole new level.

Something's changed at this place--perhaps a new chef or recipes? I used to enjoy coming here, but now the food is inedible! Pasta with a sour sauce? Who does that? Another pasta is described as "very different," but a more familiar option would be appreciated. The artichoke dip tastes awful--did they buy it from a cheap supermarket jar? The eggplant parmigiana has uncooked eggplants, and all this for a significant amount of money! Yes it is a very pretty place , but not so incredible pretty to compensate for a sleepless night with belly ache due to the food you eat there.

I wanted to submit a review as we stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant near our hotel on the upper east side. The food was wonderful and I must say the Caesar Salad was the best we've ever have had, and we eat them a lot! Darling hostess and server was great. Classy outdoor dining setup although we choose to eat inside which was lovely too. Will definitely revisit upon our return to the city.

Be the first to ReplyWe booked a reservation for dinner to introduce a friend
We booked a reservation for dinner to introduce a friend from out of town to fine dining in ny... couldn't be more disappointed. we were seated at a tiny table right in front of a large birthday party. rather than seat the guests, they had them mill around standing and engage in a full "cocktail" event around our dinner. we couldn't hear each other speak over the noise and it completely ruined the experience. in the end, we received minimal apologies from the staff. food was good but it's priced for ambiance which is a total zero. plenty of other high end spots on the upper east side.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I had a lovely date night.
It's expensive, but I didn't think it was overpriced. Service was on point and the entire staff was courteous. The room is small and elegantly decorated. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. We'll go again when we visit NYC.
Be the first to ReplyService was ridiculous! Took 30 minutes to get a drink.
Food was average. I got the Fleming burger which was good. Lots of choices in this city...service needs to be top of mind for a restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and even better people watching.
We enjoyed the outside table and found the service to be very attentive.
Be the first to ReplyMediocre in every way except price.
First of all "who's table is this? Oh I thought so-and-so got your drink order," said the waitress while putting her knee on the vacant chair... wait what? - yes diner-style AND... Question: what mostly Italian place in NYC doesn't have a bottle of Luxardo in the bar? - so no Martinez for me. This is NEW YORK CITY! Ok, moving on to the appetizer - ย Eggplant parmesan tasted like neither. Just a thin slice of crunchy stuff with cheese on top like it just came out of the air-fryer in a college dorm. Let's leave it there. Ok, main course - Dorade provencal was greasy and unable to rise above the murky waters it swam in. No provencal flavors AT ALL... More like a dead body flung into the East River. Garlic who? Herbs where? Onions what? BORING!! Dessert faired no better - rhubarb crumble - again, seriously I think it was one of those recipes you can mix and bake in a mug in the microwave. Ok, let's get a sauterne to clear our palate. I'm sorry no sauterne, and the waitress doesn't know what ports they have. Seriously? Wasted money, like let's just give them money for nothing. DO NOT BOTHER. Uninspired food, uninformed strange service, not going back - EVER.

Love Bilboquet and loved that this place was smaller & more intimate but the Cajun chicken is completely different than the one at Le Bil which was a huge disappointment. If you're going to serve the same dishes at least make it the same, while I was there another couple left when they heard the chef cooks differently than Le Bilboquet's.

The cost of the bakery as been horrendous, I was going for years and I am chocked by the price now over expensive , also they do not serve anymore the Coffe or expresso in an China but only paper cup ย this is not acceptable for a place like that ย St Ambroeus next block is much better now

If you fancy that chic lunch or dinner on the UES of Manhattan look no further. Fleming has it all, chic outside space under umbrellas( perfect for those sunny sex and the city lunches for ladies of leisure) smooth waiters who will complement your new ( or old)Prada shoes and decent food. Expect to pay the price though. Avocado on toast will cost you more than bowl of pasta. But sure enough you'll enjoy your time just like myself and my girlfriend did.

Unfortunately this place has failed to meet my expectations when it comes to fine dining. My fiancee got us a reservation and I was honestly excited to eat at a full service restaurant after the pandemic. Uber Eats has satisfied me more (which is saying a LOT). They have the price right for fine dining -- but not the service. Will not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and service.
We ordered soup of the day, mushroom and celery with truffle soup, head of cauliflower, and pear salad for appetizer. For entree, we had duck special and beet risotto.

Came here with a friend for lunch when indoor dining was still allowed. Plenty of COVID precautions, every customer got temperature checked before being seated, enough space/distance was reserved between tables. Very classy ambience and attentive service. The food was delicious, love the creamy squash soup and the mushroom risotto, fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned, we ended with the fig meringue that balanced the taste buds with a mixture of sweetness and sourness, very satisfying.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice dinner.
ย Excellent food and service.Plenty of COVID precautions.Friendly staff and elegant comfortable atmosphere, and unlike Bilboquet no LOUD nightclub music!
Be the first to ReplyThe Food is ok; certainly not the quality of Le Bibloquet.
The bigger disappointment is the arrogant attitude of the management and the poor service. Certainly not worth the money or the experience.
Be the first to Reply'Rude service Fleming' that is what this place should be
'Rude service Fleming' that is what this place should be called. My husband and I dropped into Fleming by Le Bulboquet because it's a hop, skip and a jump away from our house. We were excited about trying a couple cocktails and potentially an appetizer, however, that quickly came to a halt when we were greeted by bad service. We stepped into the restaurant which only had one table full and no one else busting down the door to get in. A gentleman approached us and we asked if we could get a few drinks... he chuckled to himself and said, no. I love to check out new local restaurants by having drinks first (we would have had at least four drinks) and it looks like the place could use the business.First impressions are everything and we will not be coming back. This place will be out of business in no time if you keep turning away business.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome dining experience !True to all of his ventures .
