Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea Kihei Reviews from The Last Year
Always the best Vacation spot, now a perfect reception spot too!
We chose 4 seasons for our reception and it was perfect! Christina Andrews is phenomenal! Dream wedding for sure! We are still waiting for photos back since it was this weekend, but she made our wedding feel like a million dollars and look like it too! She did everything in her power to make it special from day one and did so for 9 months straight. The amount of effort she gives every couple is truly unbelievably great! Shes with you every step of the way and she makes sure to accomplish every request! Literally she said yes to everything or found a way to make it happen! The price might have been a bit more than other places on the island but it is worth every penny! If you want a dream wedding, this is the spot to have it! Our stay at the four seasons was amazing too! I also have to shout out Mr. Smiles! He will schedule a slot with you to take evening photos on your phone! We have used him every time we have been there and continue to plan to do so! Christina even arranged for him to help take photos at Feraros! It was a dream come true! I think our best candid photos came from him! Highly recommend! Also make sure to go to Spago! Its always great!
Paradise’s Favorite Resort
What a gorgeous resort ! I have never experienced this level of service and excellence in a resort! Absolutely lived up to its Four Seasons Reputation! Everything seems as though they have anticipated our every need and potential needs. I was blessed to come along on a business trip with my husband and boy i am glad i came! Absolutely stunning views of course from all angles it seems. Great experience from the room, food, pools and staff!
Five Star Luxury, Consistent, Always Impeccable, Absolutely Stunning!
My wife, daughter & I just returned from a magical 4 night stay at The Four Seasons in Maui!! Almira at the front desk was welcoming, lovely and helpful throughout our stay! Deanna at the Lobby Lounge was amazing. The resort, the property, the pools and the beach were pristine and beautiful!! The friendliest and most helpful employee was Doug at the beach who worked tirelessly to set up lounge chairs and umbrellas in the hot sun and was the most helpful!! Owen from Minnesota served us poolside and was lovely, funny, affable and couldn't have been NICER!! I also want to give a shout out to Chris @ Sugar Shack and one of the BEST waiters we've ever had, Terry @ DUO our first night was amazing, helpful, friendly and attentive. As you can see by all the employees' names, I have remembered The Four Seasons goes ABOVE and BEYOND to make certain you have a memorable, personal, five-star experience and they hit it out of the park!!
Our First time staying at FS Maui and won't be our last!
After my hubby & spent our 20th Anniversary there last week, we are determined to stay at more Four Seasons hotels and we'll definitely be back to FS Maui! What a picturesque experience that resort was. From being welcomed by leis at an open-air lobby with the tropical breezes coming through and that breathtaking view of the Pacific, to being led up to the Club Level Concierge for check-in. We seriously felt like royalty. Our room was phenomenal. A very spacious and beautifully-appointed oceanview room with a fantastic terrace – which we spent so many relaxing moments enjoying. In the evening, the hotel lights up all the tiki torches and it was so beautiful to sit on our balcony overlooking those. The food, the facility, amenities, and the resort staff were all over-the-top amazing. Location is great too...nice walking path along the oceanside and within walking distance to a nice little shopping mall too.
Average stay with a terrible view of the ocean
We arrived at the hotel and was not greeted at all. We started to pull our luggage up through the front area when one of the men working the area saw us. He was flustered and shouted let me get you a lai. he threw it over our heads stressed. It wasn't a great welcome. We got to the front desk and we were excited to check in. On check in the woman gave us our room, a luxury ocean view king suite. This was a big splurge for us, we had saved and was excited to be there. The woman says we have a special, for $700 more a night you can have this room starting tomorrow. Or for 2k more a night you can have this other room tomorrow. It felt embarrassing as we couldn't afford it and it just felt in poor taste. We were taken back and then once in our room there was no amenity waiting for us, as booked with our room. We did get it a couple of hours later but it was one tiny cookie and I took a bite and spit it out. The ocean view from our room was terrible. I will post a pic. We were just looking at the building opposite, if you stuck your head out over the patio fence and turned it right to the side then you could see, but sitting out on the patio you couldn't see the ocean. It wasn't worth the price for the room. The resort itself is tired and the pool area, fountains etc need updating. The service itself wasn't overwhelmingly great. The nicest people in the hotel work at Duo, and we enjoyed our breakfast there, very good friendly service. Treats were supposed to be served at the pool every hour. We only had two treats the 6 days were there. They were tiny like a small sample at Costco. Everything is expensive. I read that the snorkeling gear, body boards and beach toys - bucket s and spades were included. it wasn't, so had to pay $85 for snorkel and body board for 24hr rental and bought bucket and spade from the store. Except for the cabanas which were difficult to get, nothing is included as we thought it would be. People start to claim the cabanas at 6AM. It added stress to sitting by the pool during the day. Our stay here didn't meet expectations and I can't see us going back there.
Couldn't have been happier here.
From the moment you pull up, the service is amazing. I love that they have cabanas around the pool for guest use without having to pay extra, I know this saved my skin since I burn so easily. The food at the restaurants was fantastic our only disappointment was when we wanted to eat at Spago and asked if they take walk-ins the 3 people at the Spago desk looked at me like I was an alien for a good 30 seconds and then finally sputtered out they were full for the evening. I would recommend this hotel over others, we stayed at the Waldorf this trip as well and their service just wasn't the same.
Exceptional Resort, Amazing Staff, Exceedingly Well Managed and a Wonderful Family Vacation
The Four Seasons Maui at Wailea is an exceptional, and extremely well managed resort. Our stay exceeded all our expectations. Yes, we were there during Spring Break, but even though the property had high occupancy (including over 300 children), it did not feel like it was overly crowded or noisy. When we arrived, we were offered a room upgrade to an oceanfront prime double queen (at an additional nightly cost) which I gladly accepted. The overall room and amenities were wonderful and the view of the pool area and ocean was spectacular and well worth the additional expense. While the overall resort is extremely well appointed, and thoughtfully laid out with every possible service and amenity carefully considered and provided, what truly separates the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea from other world class resorts is the amazing service provided by each of the staff who were dedicated to making every aspect of our stay exceptional. Everyone at the Four Seasons recognized us and either knew or tried to learn each of our names, which made our stay even more personal and genuine. I want to recognize the Four Seasons staff for their tireless work to make each guest’s experience a memorable one. The front desk check-in, check-out and upgrade process took less than 2 minutes. The Concierge helped plan and schedule our offsite dinners (Monkeypod, Ekolu Kitchen and Mama’s Fish House), an outstanding van and helicopter tour of Hana, a terrific snorkeling trip to Molokini Crater, and a wonderful Luau at the Grand Wailea. The pool and beach attendants provided amazing service and took the time to get to know us. I got to know most of them every morning at 6:00am while trying to secure an unreserved sanctuary or prime pool cabana. They always made sure we were well taken care of and had enough towels, water, drinks, and food. The resort food was always very well prepared and delivered promptly (even though the resort was exceedingly busy). Every morning, the chefs and servers prepared and delivered our meals to a consistently high standard. Yes, the food and drinks are expensive, but you get what you pay for as everything was thoughtfully prepared and very high quality. The bartenders at Ferraro’s, Duo, and the infinity pool area were engaging, friendly, and made excellent cocktail and wine recommendations. They were even willing to try to reproduce a drink I had at Mama’s Fish House (Pau Maui). The room service staff were wonderful and delivered our food promptly (even quickly replacing a steak that had been over-cooked). The housekeeping staff quietly and unobtrusively went about their work and somehow managed to keep our room clean, neat, and organized every day. The ever-thoughtful car valets and bell staff who had our suitcases delivered and picked-up on-time and consistently had our car ready to go within minutes (along with towels and cold water. The gift shop staff were thoughtful and recommended several toys and activities for our kids. The roving beach/pool snack staff who brought us treats every day (pineapple, ice cream, mochi, ginger lemonade (to name a few). Those who staffed the Sugar Shack and made those amazing and enormous milkshake/donut/ice cream treats. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, those who run the complimentary Kid's Club every day who were so incredibly accommodating and patient in taking such good care of our kids (and 25 other children). I don’t know how they manage it on a day-to-day basis, but their creativity and positive attitude were infectious with the children. We had a hard time convincing my 7-year-old to join us at the pool and beach because he was having such a good time with all the daily activities that he could attend or simply check-in on at his leisure (on-property excursions, cooking, Legos, coloring, basketball, swimming, and afternoon movies before pick-up). The three-hour sunset crab catching on the beach (and dinner) was a big hit with the kids ($100 extra but well worth the expense). The Kid’s Club and excursions allowed us to have a break from our kids and some well needed “adult time” which allowed us to go to the adult-only infinity pool for a late afternoon swim and an early diner at Ferraro’s. My only two suggestions are the following: First, the room and pool area power/technology could be a bit better. The room outlets did not fit multiple rapid (and wider) USB-C chargers which are necessary when a family has up to eight devices to be charged. At the three pool/unreserved cabana areas there are no power or no charging stations (they may exist in some of the pricier cabanas that can be reserved for over $1,000/day). I know that many would say why look at your phone or iPad at the pool/beach when you are on vacation, but when you pay Four Seasons rates and spend your whole day at the pool having your phone/iPad is helpful when you or your kids need some down time and a break from the sun. Perhaps charging stations could be discreetly placed and managed in the attendant areas with adequate power for rapid device charging. Our devices drained quickly due to poor cellular service and insufficient Wi-Fi coverage. It’s also a long way back for some guests to return to their rooms to charge their phone. Second, there could have been more clothing storage space in our room. Since we had four people (two adults and two kids) sharing a double queen prime ocean room, the existing built-in drawers were too shallow and did not provide enough storage space for four people. There was certainly enough space on one wall (by the adjoining room door) for an additional 4 drawer dresser (which the staff could not provide when requested). Instead, we had the kid’s suitcases open for 8 days which made things a bit messier. Again, perhaps a nit-pick, but for over $2,500 a night, there should be sufficient storage if the room is permitted to accommodate up to four people. While these were certainly minor inconveniences (and did not detract from our stay or experience), the Four Seasons prides itself on thinking of every detail and I hope these suggestions would be carefully considered by management to improve the overall guest experience. Our kids affectionately called the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea "our hotel away from home" because they felt so relaxed, comfortable, and well taken care of during our stay. They were both sad to the point of tears when we had to say our goodbyes. This of course meant that the vacation and overall experience was truly an exceptional one for us all. The overall property, location and amenities will always be beautiful and high quality, but what makes the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea truly shine are the wonderful and dedicated employees who not only made us feel welcome but made every aspect of our stay so memorable. Five stars for every category. Thanks to everyone for making our family vacation so special. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. Mahalo.
FS Maui - fantastic family resort
The FS Maui is definitely an amazing resort for a family vacation. We just came back after spending a lovely week there and I truly can’t wait to go back. Maui, the people, and culture are just so amazing. Truly a pleasure to have been to that wonderful island. However, I have to say, that our experience was only made that much better because of the FS hotel and the staff. The concierge went above and beyond in helping us book a wonderful itinerary and dinners. The more you travel, the more you realize not all hotels and their concierge teams are made the same. FS takes the cake! The pool staff were great and so were everyone else who worked there. Always greeting you with a kind, warm smile. However, there is one small complaint. We were there during one of the busiest seasons of the year- spring break- and there were just not enough pool side chairs or even by the ocean. We had to be up at 630am to make sure we could secure a place to sit. Otherwise good luck! They really need to figure out a better layout so more chairs can fit and people don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn in their vacation to have a seat to relax. And some places by the pool look like they are overdue for a face lift. I have a feeling one is coming. Anyway, can’t wait to go back! It was a vacation to remember!
Perfection!
From pre-arrival to checkout, the Four Seasons at Wailea was truly spectacular. Each staff member was so hospitable and kind. I wanted to arrange the most for our first time visiting Maui and Akemi and Yuki, two of their concierge team members, were so accommodating with every request prior to checking in. We had an early flight and our room was not ready yet. They stored our luggage for us and recommended breakfast at Duo. It was fantastic and much needed after a long day of traveling. The hotel grounds are immaculate and truly breathtaking. We upgraded our room and were so happy we did. We stayed in the Ocean View Prime Suite and it was perfect for our family of four. We had two bathrooms, a dining area, separate bedroom and two balconies. Our views were amazing and it was so nice having space to relax outside early in the morning or after a busy day. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job. The sofa bed was made up every night and put away every morning so we could fully enjoy the whole suite during our stay. I loved that they had soap dispensers in the bathrooms. I know it's miniscule but a definite step up from the typical bars of soap. The whole resort was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and comfort. I was a little worried about the pool chair availability since we visited during spring break but we were able to find chairs every day of our stay. The pool and beach staff were very attentive. Unfortunately, due to weather, our outrigger canoe and scooter snorkel were cancelled. However, we were able to snorkel off shore during our trip and one of the guides from the outrigger canoe went out of his way to come up to us to show us the better spots to go. It was very much appreciated. They have quite a few dining options onsite. We ate at Duo for breakfast. The buffet is exquisite offering almost anything you would think of but if you're not as hungry the menu has a wide variety of choices. We enjoyed both options. We also did in room dining twice (once for breakfast and once for dinner) and both were terrific. We did appetizers in the lounge one night and they have live music which was nice. Ferraro's was a little disappointing for dinner but the sunset views could not have been better. The service was great but the food wasn't to our liking. We think there are better options on the island for dinner. The beach cafe is so cute and our daughters enjoyed gelato daily. It was nice to have something closer to the beach to grab a snack or drink if needed too. We cannot wait to come back and will recommend FS Wailea to everyone.
Great spot for anyone looking for beach front luxury!
I took a short trip to Maui to recharge for a few days. It was glorious to stay at the Four Seasons. The lobby smells amazing (like all Four Seasons hotels) when you walk in, and the beach in front of the hotel is lovely. I would literally camp out there for most to day. The pool areas are water front, but not that many lounges have direct ocean views so I preferred to just sit on the beach. The pools were lovely and had food service so that was great - the adult pool does fill up though and so go early if you want a lounge there. The gym was great as were the restaurants on sight. There's a few miles of beach front boardwalk that I enjoyed running on. And of course, since they filmed White Lotus there, it was fun to watch the series on the flight over! I would say it's a great spot even if you're traveling alone (and I am looking forward to returning with my family some day soon!)
Phenomenal at the Four Seasons
Had a wonderful recharge of the spirit at this amazing property. Staff were very friendly & warm. Love the pools, live music in the lounge, fantastic artist displays in the lower lobby. The food was spectacular, & there were many options for kids and adults alike.
We had drinks in the upper Four Seasons bar lobby area
We had drinks in the upper Four Seasons bar lobby area which were really good, very nice bartenders. We moved to the downstairs outside pool area for another drink and small plates in the Italian bar. We had a friendly bartender, the pizza was delicious and the wine selection was great. The downstairs vibe was my preference. We will be back!
It was a lifetime experience.
Everything in Four seasons Maui is excellent - location, beach, architecture of the resort, ambience, restaurants...However, what makes it really outstanding is service - care and attention, warmth of hospitality that every guest is surrounded with. All our needs and requests were met immediately and perfectly; everywhere in the hotel we met polite, warm and whole-hearted greetings from the hotel staff. It was so pleasant!

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui and it was an amazing experience. As soon as I walked in, they welcomed me with a lei, which is a necklace made of flowers. It was a really nice touch. The check-in went smoothly, and the cookies and drink they offered in the lobby were delicious. The view from the hotel is stunning. You can see the ocean, and watching the sunset and sunrise from there is just beautiful. They have a bunch of restaurants at the resort, and all the food I tried was really good. The room I stayed in was big and comfortable. They even had an air purifier in the room, which was a nice surprise. I chose a room with a balcony and the view of the ocean was great. The hotel staff made me feel very welcome the whole time I was there. One thing to keep in mind is that they charge for parking and only have valet parking. I'm not sure about shuttle services because I didn't use them. Overall, the hotel is super clean, very nice, and the staff really take care of you until you leave. It was a great place to stay and I'd definitely go back.

We decided to stay at the Four Seasons Maui for our honeymoon after a disappointing experience at another hotel. The staff at the Four Seasons not only greeted us warmly but also allowed us to check in a few days early, which truly turned our vacation around. From the moment we stepped in, the staff at Four Seasons went above and beyond to make our trip extraordinary. Our room upgrade was a pleasant surprise, setting the tone for a luxurious and memorable stay. The level of service we experienced was unparalleled, marking it as the best we've ever encountered. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our stay - from the pristine rooms and friendly housekeeping staff, seamless setup of pool chairs to the thoughtful gesture of delivering soup to my husband when he wasn't feeling well. It's these small touches that define exceptional hospitality. In stark contrast to our previous ordeal, the Four Seasons Maui was a haven of comfort, luxury, and genuine care. I find myself with no complaints, only gratitude for the staff who turned our honeymoon into an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a truly exceptional stay, the Four Seasons Maui is the epitome of excellence.
Top resort on Maui hands down.
Entire staff from arrival to dining to poolside and activities are all excellent. Friendly and attentive throughout the resort and all the time throughout the day. Room keeping staff are responsive to all requests and the room is kept tidy twice per day. Our third visit here in 2023. The best resort on Maui.
Best of the best Everything was on point.
Great service, beautiful beach to snorkel and I can't emphasize enough on the attention to small details like music dial in your bathroom to get the vibe right. The breakfast buffet was a must! And Duo for dinner is great too. Sitting a few tables over from Vince Vaughn was a perk as well
I just stayed at FS Maui for my birthday and while there
I just stayed at FS Maui for my birthday and while there were good parts, the bag/negative encounters were really outstanding unfortunately. After checking out and reviewing the bill, I noticed extra charges of overnight parking that I was not told about upon staying here. When calling the front desk later that day after arriving home, I was transferred over to staff member after staff member. Finally, they offered a one time courtesy to remove the parking charges per night. Their reasoning for having those charges was because they do not have a resort fee?? I don't understand the logic behind this l. Additionally, the women front desk members I spoke to were talking over me and being passive aggressive. While I did enjoy my time for the most part, it's situations like these that really put a damper on the experience. Now I am very weary and cautious about staying here next time.
A gorgeous resort with the most beautiful pools and views.
The staff is so friendly. We had a fabulous dinner at Dos Hombres Cucina!! I'm coo koo for the Coco Crush! A Mexican twist on a Pina Colada' with dehydrated pineapple and the mini sombrero was over the top! My husband had to order an extra one for himself! Oh, and the food was perfection!!! The yummiest ceviche, the crab enchiladas, the duck tacos, and the first white fish dish with greens and rice were all incredibly delicious! We'll be back!

I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday with a staycation at this five star resort. The property is immaculate and the service is over the top amazing. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind because it is so calming and serene. At check in you receive a resort wristband that opens your hotel room. One of the unique features in the hotel room is a mini iPad that contains all the resort information at your fingertips. You can chat with a live person that will help you with anything you need. You can order room service or make housekeeping requests all through the iPad. Pressreader is loaded in the iPad so you can read a huge variety of newspapers, magazines, and books. The Lobby Lounge is a nice place to get drinks and small bites in the evening. They have live Hawaiian music and hula dancers. There are multiple pools on the property, including an adults only serenity pool complete with swim up bar and infinity edge pool looking out over the ocean. There is an Aloha Suite for guests to use before or after check in and a Swing Suite for guests that want to enjoy interactive games. They also have tennis courts and a game room, as well as a kids club. I hope I can come back one day soon to unwind and relax again!

Good Afternoon. It looks like you have requested a name transfer for Carbone NY. Unfortunately, this is one of the restaurants that is almost impossible to do name changes for. They don’t accept phone calls so they are difficult to change the reservations that were booked online.
