Came here for some awesome weekend hh deals, and I'll have to try some of the other menu items some time soon! The deals were outstanding, and the bar seating was very fun. Our bartender was great, and service was super quick. We got the rib tips, wings, fries, sliders, and pretzel for apps. These were so filling and delicious, and we had plenty leftover. The drinks were okay- both my fuzzy socks cocktail and espresso martini weren't the best. Definitely a cool spot though, and it was popping on a Saturday!

We'd been wanting to go for a while so were very excited to finally go. It was a great experience, but with the price tag I feel like it won't become a regular go-to.We got the schnitzel and dumplings. The schnitzel was very tasty, super thin so it looked massive. It was still two meals-worth, just very wide on a plate given how thin it was. The breading was great, nice and thin too. But ultimately it's schnitzel which isn't meant to be some super expensive item. The dumplings were good, and I'm glad we got something a bit less standard as well, which is what Funkenhausen is meant to be known for. I wasn't like blown away but they were good and a bit of a twist which I liked. My cocktail was good not great, though I can't remember which cocktail it was. My wife liked her cocktail more. For sides we got brussels sprouts and fries. The fries were incredible. Well cooked, delicious, incredible sauce. The brussels sprouts were the opposite, devoid of any sauce, surprisingly bland.

I'd heard enough good things so I made a reservation for a Friday night-- we probably could have walked in when we arrived but they were hopping by 7. The cocktail offerings are super minimal (although I do think they have a full bar); this is way more of a beer and wine place but I was fine with that especially in the hands of Catherine (I may have spelled that wrong- sorry!), our amazing server who knew the wines inside out. I really liked that the fusion concept of this place was so well thought out-- they had German faves like spaetzle but then you could get delicious charred broccolini too. My favorite course though was DEFINITELY dessert-- we couldn't resist the bourbon pecan pie or the salted caramel pots de creme. I highly recommend saving room. I would definitely come back here-- the whole experience was spot on and Catherine was one of the best and nicest servers I've had in a long time.

Warm, inviting, knowledgeable and hilarious. Food is great and the won't list is stellar.

Great service, food and cocktails! The whole German inspired menu is delicious. I recommend the schnitzel but honestly anything you get will be great
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service! Huge fan of the pork confit.
The bartender, Dustin, made me a few custom NA cocktails and they were oh so good!

The atmosphere is great and the service is great every single time. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to.

We each had the pork loin schnitzel and it was.. just okay. The meat tasted fine, but was very tough and chewy. It was also served with butter knives, which made it next to impossible to cut through. It feels as though you're forgotten about once your food arrives and held hostage until they remember you're there.

We arrived for my birthday in time to finish out their happy hour at the bar, with the crab dip, two orders of creole butter shrimp, and a giant order of fries. I had the mini cocktail flight and my wife the black tea old fashioned. Then we moved on to regular seating and continued with the charred brussels, the black garlic celery root salad, and the impressive looking breaded pork cutlet. The cutlet was a little chewy and bland but the sauce gribiche kind of saved it. Desserts were the caramel pot du creme and the apple cobbler, fantastic. the Do Re Mi Georgian wine was a delight. A great space. We would go again.
