The interior is so cute with dim lighting and plants everywhere. Would be a wonderful date spot. The menu is easy to navigate. The burrata appetizer was amazing, best thing I ate all night. The squash main was good but nothing special and the desserts were not my cup of tea. This spot is still worth a visit, check it out.

The service was incredible and the flavors were delicious. The cocktails are yummy!
Be the first to ReplyTLDR: "It was good, for vegetarian food.
I left still hungry."7/10A great entry into vegan and vegetarian fine dining. Fantastic location, service and food. Omnivores & Carnivores beware. This isn't the kind of place I'd take my dad. I really wanted to like this place. No single dish really blew me away. I did not want to discount them too much because I do not think I am their target audience, a meat lover.THE DETAILS:It was a cold and dark and stormy night in December. We were hungry, tired and parched. Glas was our restaurant of choice.ATTIRE: Leave your crop tops and chanklas at home friends, this is business casual.PRICING:Simple and elegant fixed price menu-2 course menu: 40 euros 3 course menu: 49 EurosWith drinks, water, and tip we spent around 150€ for two.DINNER TIMELINE:9:15PM: Reservation8:56PM: Arrived9:04PM: Seated 9:20PM: Ordered drinks and food 9:27PM: Drinks served9:37PM: Appetizer 9:56PM: Mail course served10:02PM: Main 1 finished 10:05PM: Main 2 finished10:06PM: Cleared plates10:07PM: Served new dessert spoons10:31PM: Served dessert 10:45PM: asked for check 10:52PM: PaidTHE FOOD:Drink 1: Coconut Margarita (not on menu)** 10/10- amazing texture and flavor!Drink 2: Irish Spritz** 3/10- Made well, but it really tasted like Robotussin. Very watery Robotussin.Appetizer 1/2: Smoked Cheese Croquettes ** 9/10: Warm smoky taste, braised chicory paired nicely. Stay away if you don't like mustard.Main 1: Miso Parsnip** 8/10: what a perfect combination of flavors and textures. I am not vegan or vegetarian, and the words "carrot risotto" slightly terrify me. But it was executed well.Main 2: King Oyster Mushroom ** 7/10: Umami packed, hearty choice. A great choice, but the mushroom was slightly rubbery. I surprisingly did not enjoy this as much as the carrot risotto (never thought I'd ever write that sentence in my life).Dessert 1: Turnip Cake"I'll have the turnip cake for dessert! yum!!!" (Sounds great right?)6/10: it was an interesting concept, I could definitely tell it was a fancy turnip.Dessert 2: Honey Panna Cotta 7/10 it is more of an art piece than deliciousness. The tart fruit overpowered the cream below. When eating the dish, I suggest eating it right side up, with the cream hitting your tongue first, to reduce the fruit from overpowering the dish. Plating was fantastic.Other great detail about Glas:- the changed silverware at every course- dimly and artfully lit- chic jungle modern aesthetic- staff is diverse and friendly- they take your coats and shopping bags for you to store. The staff members even help you with your coat as you depart.Noise levels:- it's a busy restaurant, but noise levels were fine for conversation. The background music is just that- background music.
Be the first to ReplyMagnificent experience from the moment we arrived.
I've had vegan food all over the world and no one is making vegan food like this- fresh local ingredients, dishes presented like art, layers of flavor that are as interesting as they are delicious. Not your run of the mill vegan offerings, these chefs know what they're doing and do it exceptionally. Wonderful service and ambiance as well. Highly recommend! Will be back anytime I'm in town.

I've been to many vegan restaurants and this place is truly exceptional. Reminds me of restaurants similar to Matthew Kenney. Truly artful dishes made with plants, not fake meats. I really appreciated this meal.I had the fennel fritters with tomato jam and dill cashew cheese for starter, Swiss chard with risotto balls and pickled grapes (recommended by the waiter and great suggestion, and I normally wouldn't have chosen but it was a great one- the chard was interesting, grilled and tasted amazing), and chocolate mouse for dessert. Wow. It was a beautiful meal.If you go, keep in mind what you're getting into - this is a fine dining restaurant with multiple courses of small to moderately sized plates that are levels above any other vegan/vegetarian food around the city. If you're looking for that, I highly highly recommend it and it's deserving of the Michelin rating.

This is the best vegetarian restaurant I have ever had the luck to dine at! Also in general, hands down one of the best restaurants in Dublin!First things first, the decor is beautiful, floral and leafy designs and a modern bar. For starters, I had Apple-glazed turnip, with blue cheese mousse (delicious!) and nori seaweeds, and my partner had Spiced Butterbean Ceviche with orange gel, shiitake, grapefruit, and corn jelly. For mains, I had Roast Onion, with haloumi, watercress and buckwheat cake, morel vinaigrette, and dry-baked parsley, while he had Roast Beets, with a blue cheese frittata (amazing!), almond puree, burned apple, and pistachio crumb. For sides we got polenta fries, and the surprise STAR of the night: Roast Jerusalem Artichokes with roast yeast aioli, it was so delicious and moreish! Lastly, I had Pear and Rum Baba, with lemon sorbet, mint snow, and candied cucumber; an amazing and well-balanced dessert! My partner had Fried Milk, with cinnamon ice cream, apple and yoghurt salad, and elderflower gel.Great wine list, we enjoyed Grillo and Garganega white wines.Such a treat to come here, they have such tantalising, epic, well-balanced and innovative dishes! Every single dish blew our minds! Cannot wait to come back, top marks!

Came here for dinner when my friend and I were in town a few weeks ago. The restaurant itself is quite trendy, with lots of plants and soft lighting. We decided to share an order of their tempura shimeji mushrooms, and I decided to get their squash dish, while my friend decided to get their risotto. We both glasses of wine to compliment our meals as well. Our food came out pretty quickly after we had placed our order, and their tempura shimeji mushrooms may have been the best thing I had during that trip. They were perfectly battered and seasoned, and the sauce that it was topped with was just amazing. The mushrooms were chewy and the batter was infused with the mushrooms' umami-ness. Well worth a try! As for my squash dish, it came with a variety of other things, including pickled beet slices, braised ramps, and a breaded and fried soft boiled egg. Quite good, even if the ramps could've been cut or served in such a way so that it wasn't as stringy feeling. This definitely felt like a place that you'd go to for special occasions, and we did spy a few couples on date nights here. It's a bit pricey, but I thought it was worth it for such good vegetarian/vegan food. Would come back here and would also recommend to other veggie travelers, if they happened to find themselves in Dublin.

I tried the mushroom pate, beets and mango raw cake, everything was excellent. Service was friendly. Nice ambience. Reasonably priced.
