Get the duck!! Fall of the bones tender and incredibly well seasoned. The mezze feast was also lovely - smoked eggplant was the star here. Service was prompt and friendly. Would recommend for a nice meal with friends or a date.

The food is shareable and unassuming, but oh-so-good. Delicious cocktails. It's a casual, unpretentious vibe. Overall this place really impressed me and I will be back
Be the first to ReplyVery cool place.
Hummus pita were out of this world. My daughter and my husband love this type of food. I am more of a Peter Luger girl but it was delicious and made my whole family very happy. The decor was so interesting so much to look out. The waiter was very helpful. I never knew Greenpoint was so cool. I'm behind the times

Terrible experience, overall awful! Starting from seating to cold food, to snotty stuck up staff. Stay away!

..ok. Of the three plates we ordered, I enjoyed none. We ordered the smoked eggplant, the branzino, and the baklava. Overall, everything was bland. I have had modern Mediterranean cuisine before, with strong, complex flavors that surprises and delights. No such strong, complex flavors here. The eggplant was all smoke and not much else (although I did enjoy the accompanying pita). The branzino lacked spices or any kind of flavor, other than its natural fish taste. And most disappointing of all, the baklava. Baklavas, in my experience, are fully soaked, resting in a bed of honey. Press down on a Baklava, and it oozes with sweetness. It is cloying, but in the best way. This Baklava, with its layers of filo dough and various nuts, was bone dry. It was not soaked. It desperately needed to be soaked. Eating it was akin to chewing cardboard. Utterly joyless. My fiance liked everything though!

Hummus, carrots, falafel, shawarma, chicken. Will remember this meal for the rest of my life!
Be the first to ReplyThe epitome of industrial chic on the border of Greenpoint
The epitome of industrial chic on the border of Greenpoint and LIC. Used to be a glass factory, the vibes are intimate and cozy, surrounded by brick walls, plants, and the hipster vibe that Brooklyn is known for. Amazing for a date or small group! One of the many Mediterranean spots in Greenpoint and Williamsburg, their food is a hit or miss. The Labne and Griddle bread is a MUST 10/10. Skip the kingfish crudo and coconut panna cotta. The combination of flavors is surprising and courageous but doesn't always work out. I'm a big fan of cilantro - addicted even, and I could not get pass it the combination with coconut. Service was great and the owner himself came to check on our tables, and clarify any food allergies and there were a few at our table.

The food's good but I don't like waiters who push extra items on you so I'm taking a star off for that, and for me the restaurant is overpriced. But the quality of food is quite good.

If I had to choose a personal favorite restaurant in Broolyn, it'd hands down be Glasserie; During my summer living in NY, it was the only spot I visited twice. Once a glass factory, Glasserie embodies a hipster-trendy vibe with exposed brick and candlelight (And true to the millennial taste, we love a converted industrial space). Its cozy and perfect for couples or small groups. Tucked away at the upper edge of Greenpoint towards Long Island City, it requires a Subway change from the L to G, making it a hidden gem of sorts. Reservations here are helpful but I wouldn't say essential. If this restaurant were in the heart of Williamsburg, I guarantee it'd have blown up by now and would've lost its underground appeal. Greenpoint overall is the epitome of up and coming; Grab a drink next door at the neighborhood favorite Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co pre dinner and bar hop along nearby Franklin Street afterwards. I'd come here for the ambiance alone, but the real draw here is the FOOD. Mediterranean is up there as one of my top favorite cuisines, and Glasserie's modern take on it does not disappoint. I highly recommend doing family style here, as the dishes are designed to be sharable. Some standouts: - Smoky Eggplant and Pita (the perfect amount of smoky) - Scallops, favoe & roe (melts in your mouth) - Maitakes, barley & black garlic (surprises you with its flavor) Cannot recommend Glasserie enough - Impress your Manhattan or Williamsburg friends and take them here immediately!
Be the first to ReplyI found this place in the Michelin guide and immediately
I found this place in the Michelin guide and immediately went there. I really wanted to try their smoked eggplant appetizer and after reading the menu I decided to take a Mezza Feast. The mezze feast had a lot of options and every one of them looked beautiful. I immediately reached for the eggplant and, oh no, that was my first disappointment. It was like I ate a spoon of liquid smoke. Lots of smokiness and not a drop of eggplant flavor. I began to taste other appetizers and almost all of them had one thing in common - an oversaturated taste of seasonings and the lack of the ingredient's taste. Such aggressive taste enhancers simply did not allow you to enjoy combinations of appetizers, they just overwhelmed you taste buds. We didn't finish our mezze feast, even though we were quite hungry. On the bright side, the hummus was good. Also, this place has an interestresting interior and pleasant staff. But I wouldn't come back here, after all, the food is the deciding factor.

This restaurant provides the diner with an opportunity to experience Mediterranean cuisine on a much higher level. For people fearful of the new this restaurant should be assigned therapy. Wow! This place is too great to miss. Recommendation-order what you fear. You'll be delighted. The chef takes everything from beets to ice cream to an entirely new level. As to service- it's just so friendly: Freddy's Daniel and Stephanie are the perfect combo of helpful, enthusiastic and poised. As to ambience: The restraint sits inside and out of a large nondescript old brick building. footprint. Once inside you'll be telling yourself how smart you are. The interior is a combination of old grammar school chairs, accent pieces and modern wall and ceiling coverings. Some of you reading this review won't take my advice and order what you fear. So be it. You can still find an assortment of wonderful standard dishes. Everything is taken to the next level. You'll be talking about Glasserie for days. Book early. Reservations are recommended.
Be the first to ReplyHad brunch here with Mazes and a fried chicken sandwich.
The Mazes were great but the fried chicken was a bit undercooked. The ambiance has a unique Brooklyn feel to it.
Be the first to Replythe lamb is EVERYTHING.
you can't leave here without trying the lamb and griddled bread/labne. the hummus and halibut also delicious.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was great, but the service was subpar at best.
Our waitress didn't seem very happy to be serving me and my parents, who were celebrating their birthdays. In fact, she seemed annoyed that their English wasn't perfect. She also made strange assumptions, asking them if they are sharing one meal for dinner, and one drink? For a $250 dinner, plus tip, no one should be rushing us, rolling their eyes, and asking if two people are splitting a single dish when it was clearly stated that they want two. Not a welcoming experience at all. I had a great experience when I previously came about two years ago, but this time was the complete opposite.

Food was delicious, but the post-Covid no menu thing has gone too far. Glasserie doesn't even have a QR code to offer guests, they just tell you to "go to their website" for the menus. For a pricey restaurant that is ridiculous to me. How do restaurants like this not realize that people don't want to be on their phone on a date? But of course, at the end of the meal, they are happy to provide paper dessert menus - when it comes time to upsell you suddenly they can print menus.

This spot is AWESOME!! Probably my favorite in all of greenpoint - it is Mediterranean fusion. The hummus, sweet potato and lamb are absolute musts. These dishes were so unique and had so much depth in their flavors. I was thinking about them for days after leaving the restaurant and can't wait to go back. Also the old fashions with the chunk of ice were 10/10. The vibe is old warehouse with simple but really cool decor and charm. This is a really special spot and highly recommend if looking for amazing restaurant in GP.

Lovely Mediterranean place at the edge of Greenpoint! Came in on a Sunday night with a reservation, but would say walk ins would have worked as well. Ordered the eggplant and pita - pita was well spiced with zaatar and delicious. Crispy yams were my favorite for the night, paired well with a lime aioli. Also got the tilefish fillet, which came with a nutty brown butter sauce that was good. Very filling amount for two people and would definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyThe concept here is excellent, but the execution imperfect.
On a Sunday fall afternoon, what could possibly sound more appealing than a "mezze feast" paired with cocktails or a cold brew in a beautifully converted factory at the far end of Greenpoint?Indeed, there were some items that lived up to the narrative, including the environs, which were indeed charming, and the unexpectedly delicious "griddle bread," read: scallion pancake without the scallions. The falafel was also excellent. As for the cold mezzes themselves, I couldn't help but feel a bit underwhelmed - the labne was adorned with some tasty spices, but otherwise joined the hummus and eggplant mash in being rather unmemorable. My shakshuka was nicely textured with the egg, but served with a toast that was hard enough to break a jaw. Service was also "leisurely," so don't come here if you're in a rush.

A lovely and trendy spot in Greenpoint near the water with great service, cute decor and Mediterranean food! We came with a reservation for dinner on a Friday evening and got the fried and stuffed olives, hummus roasted tomato and pita, half chicken, and duck. The food was definitely pricier than what we felt like it should've been - but everything was good, and the hummus and pita was especially amazing! I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit, but we had a really nice time here and I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area and don't mind splurging a little.

Glasserie is my absolute favorite restaurant in Greenpoint! This is my go to spot for special occasions, a casual drink, or a delicious meal for a visiting friend. Their labne with honey and griddle bread is to die for, as is the Mezze feast for lunch! My partner and I have been long time fans because of their impeccable service, menu, and ambiance. Every time we go, we're met with new, fresh, local combinations and we can't get enough.Although on the more expensive side, it's consistency in quality makes it worth coming back to.

Cute spot!! Beautiful interior with amazing food! Food was pricy however. Very vegetarian friendly and food tasted fresh and flavorful!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is almost good.
Portions are small & a bit pricy for what you get. I'm all for that if the food is very good, but it misses the mark. Carrots are served cold. Cauliflower had close to no flavor. The labneh was probably the best part, sadly the portion on that was very disappointing. I'd probably only come back for the pita. I had gone somewhere after because I was still hungry. I did like the decor & atmosphere of the place.

A bit of a trip to get over here, but had a delicious meal with friends. The outdoor space was really nice. The cocktails ($16) were top notch. We shared some apps (labne, eggplant, and yams stood out to me) and then I had the lamb and eggplant, which was super tender. Riley was taking care of us and was extremely friendly and helpful throughout. Great meal!
Be the first to ReplyYou can't miss Glasserie.
It's too good. Authentic, delicious, fresh food paired with excellent, warm, and thorough but not overbearing service, I love coming here whenever possible. Also, get the Pita Bread. And the Yams.
