-An exceptional site and villa, beyond dreams
A third stay as amazing as the first two - The staff are always attentive and go out of their way to please you. - A restaurant as remarkable and original as ever, with dishes full of freshness. - And the very special atmosphere of the villa, whose renovation has preserved the soul of the original setting.

We visited for lunch and were blown away by the beautiful and historical chateau and gardens. The lakeside setting is perfect and peaceful and the ceilings and artworks and memories of past times are fascinating. Lunch was very good - tasty, fresh and delicious. The service was outstanding and we compliment Federico who was so helpful and charming. It would be a dream to stay there one day.

This hotel is superb! Set by the lake with beautiful grounds, which include a croquet lawn, pool and boat dock, this is a wonderful setting. You can swim in the lake which is clear and refreshing, sit and have tea, drinks or dinner with a view of the mountains or relax in the grounds. The staff are attentive and friendly, the food by a 2 Michelin star chef and beautiful rooms. Gargnano is just a short walk away. We could have stayed longer and hope to be back!

This hotel, our stay and the staff were all PERFECT! I can't say enough about how beautiful the villa and grounds are. We really enjoyed our stay and Georgio, Sigrid and Ilenia, and the entire staff made our stay very special. Highly recommend a visit!

Service was seamless, food excellent, our room with its large closets inviting. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace with a view of the Lake, savouring the good coffee as we enjoyed the view that Il Duce had before the Americans (and his own angry people) came. Pool is slightly small, so you may have to interact with some boorish guests, but- sigh!-- that happens everywhere. Quite pricey but you appreciate that the staff is so well-trained. Recommend as a splurge.

Wonderful hotel located in a paradisiac place. It’s very difficult to find a better place to spend four days with family. Exceptional service, delicious menus with the right wines, everything were perfect. Thanks a lot to the team. Coming from Cannes, France, by car the road has been difficult.

I have wanted to stay at this hotel for years, ever since an English blogger I follow got married there. I finally got my chance after I had to cancel my original trip planned for May 2020. If you are looking for a one of a kind hotel stay in the most beautiful location, this is it. Stunning property, fantastic staff, excellent food, worth every moment. One of the best hotels I have ever been to in the world. Thank you Villa Feltrinelli for a stay I will never forget.

It is probably one of the best restored and most beautiful villas in Italy in a wonderful location with manicured peaceful gardens. Welcome and check in was more like coming to a friends house - hospitality and service were seamless and best in class even for the most sophisticated traveler. The food is outstanding with many local and fresh ingredients from the own garden. The setting allow so much privacy that you almost feel like it is your private villa. Nice pool to swim laps. Only a solid buoy is missing to keep the boat overnight.
Our thanks go to the whole staff for the wonderful days and to the owner for maintaining this unique place.
We will be back regularly. Heaven in Italy.
Most beautiful hotel!
This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever been!
The service, the hotel, the food- everthing was amazing.
Words can’t describe how perfect it is! I will for sure come back! Thank you for that amazing experience!
BEST Hotel in the world!
we’ve been staying at Villa Feltrinelli since the opening and we have never been disappointed! This time it was extraordinarily outstanding as my nephew arrived two days after me and my partner. Mr Ottoman treated him like he is part of the ottoman family and he is a very warm gentlemen and extremely generous. The restaurant is absolutely stunning and definitely a must dine in experience. The staff is just amazing and so welcoming you will feel like you just have to be part of the family!

We found the gate! Tucked away in the small town of Gargnano on Lake Garda, behind an unassuming gate, locating the Villa Feltrinelli was not particularly obvious. But what lay beyond the gate was a wonderful discovery! Beyond the gate a narrow, wooded drive led to manicured gardens and a bright, marvelously ornate villa. The greeting and check-in was more akin to a welcome home rather than the typical hotel check-in procedure. Like the unassuming gate leading onto the property, this small hotel is all about quiet, discreet luxury.
As lovely as it appeared from the outside, the villa itself is even more spectacular inside. The intricate interior and furnishings are things of awe inspiring beauty. The pristine upkeep is equally amazing. Although many of the guest rooms are located in the main building, we elected to stay in the newer guest room buildings at the edge of the property that we felt might be a little quieter and provide more seclusion--although additional privacy was certainly not something needed here. Our room was almost like its own mini-villa with a patio seating area and, as far as we could tell, no neighboring guests.
Our yellow themed room had a large bedroom / sitting room, a walk-in closet dressing room, a vanity room, and the dreamiest of hotel bathrooms. The unique decor--framed black and white portrait photographs, flower bouquet, and included snacks and drinks--left me with the impression that I was staying in someone's guest house rather than a hotel room. The housekeeping and maintenance of the room were superb. As I said, the bathroom was among the dreamiest I've seen in a hotel--a marble oasis with an oversized tub and enormous walk-in shower with a perfect rain showerhead.
Strolling the peaceful, lakefront grounds: lemon grove, olive trees, flower beds. Although there were other guests it felt like it was our place alone. The pool and surrounding lounge chairs were well attended. Drinks were offered on the terrace. Seating or lounge chairs could be placed throughout, including on the several docks. The cold lake water made for an invigorating swim. Took an excursion around the lake on the house Aquariva. All around, service was attentive without being obtrusive. We did not make it to the spa.
The restaurant in the villa and adjacent terrace is formal but not stuffy. Our breakfasts and dinner were al fresco on the terrace. Our vegan and vegetarian diets were well accommodated with advance notice. The included breakfast was excellent and somewhat of an absurd scene with waiters bringing a new addition to our table addition with each additional item (newspaper, tiered bakery tray, tea service, etc.). Dinner was at an even higher standard, as expected from the accolades the restaurant has received.
If you're looking for a quiet, private retreat with the feel of a luxurious home away from home, look no further than the Villa Feltrinelli. They have perfectly nailed it.
Italian version of Heaven
When our driver pulled into the gates of this property, the natural beauty of the landscaping and setting opened up before our eyes. I was so overcome with the Villa , that I was tearing up as we walked in. Upon our entry into the immaculately refurbished villa, I knew right away we were somewhere VERY special. We had booked our reservation about three weeks before so space was quite limited I believe the best rooms are in the actual villa, we were In the back end of the property, a bit secluded , and the views were not straight onto the lake as they are in the villa. But the rooms were very well appointed and very tastefully done. The best linens, all the comforts, etc... The food was EXCELLENT, the Michelin star chefs food was consistently very very good, and no over the top"strange", no foams, or poems, just excellent quality and cooked perfectly. The service was seamless throughout, from housekeeping, concierge services, to dining. To have cocktails on the patio in the evening before dinner, was superb, the setting, 10 star. (I thought Villa d Este in Lake Como was beautiful....) We will definitely be back... but be aware , if you are someone who likes to see an itemized bill, and every detail, you will not see it here, I am not saying in any way that there were any erroneous charges on the bill, but the bill is a bit vague. The prices were high, as to be expected, but not ridiculous like the Hotel de Paris for example ( they don't charge you 70 euro for water). It was honestly one of the most spectacular places we have ever stayed. But if you are looking for a vibrant social scene. to be "seen", this is not the place. It is low key and elegant, those who understand this, will feel right at home.
