Mason location charges $15 a day parking.
Handicap parking also. Even when you booked before this policy went into effect and did not agree to these terms in your booking. Even when the lodge tells you they will waive it they will still fraudulently charge your card and refuse to refund it. They don't do what they say they will do and don't actually care about their customers. It's all about money. We will not be returning because of this. A $15 parking fee is a weird hill for them to die on but it's killed it for our family.
Be the first to ReplyWhere do I begin.
... First let me start off by saying check in was easy, we stayed a total of three days. When we received our room my wife and I brought the kids in to the room to change to get just a few hours left before it closed. We had a decent time at the water park but the kids however, did have fun. After the water park we ordered pizza so we didn't have to leave again, the prices were somewhat on the steep side but the pizza was actually good. We brought the pizza back to our room to eat. While eating my kids noticed toenail clippings on the floor. As much as I found it disgusting I just grabbed some toilet paper and got most of them up off of the rug. After eating we were going to get baths and showers but in order to take a shower we had to clean out the tub due to lots of hair on the wall and laying in the tub. We cleaned the tub not a bid deal and moved on. While washing my youngest child off in the bath a centipede ran next to me while I was kneeling on the floor, I of course killed it and decided to mention it to the front desk (I had pictures to show). They did try and remedy the situation by crediting a little bit of money back to my card and gave us free breakfast, they also assured me that the following day they would send someone in to clean the room. The second day, we spent most of the day at the waterpark and when we came back we noticed no one entered our room to clean. Nothing really worth mentioning the second day besides the infestation of gnats by the front door. The third day we decided we didn't want to stay and swim and just get home. After we got home I had to visit the doctors due to staph infection in multiple areas. The doctor mentioned that if you are someone who gets sweat bumps from wearing pants they create open wounds and can be infected by dirty environments. I showered prior to entering the waterpark and when exiting like it mentioned when walking in but clearly it didn't work.
Be the first to ReplyThis place yes is geared towards children.
Also yes they may need some updates but honestly I understand the pairing being $15 which was a huge thing I saw people complain about. Being as close as they are to kings island they don't want people parking for free and walking. Could they do it a better way for guests.....yes. We stayed for a night and didn't have any issues. It was a nice getaway.
Be the first to ReplyThe front desk was a great help.
Came from New York made it simple to get to my room and everything. Then I went to my room. Had an awful smell of cat pee. There were bed bugs in my bed. So i took my kids and my wife to the water park. It was fine. Then we ordered at buckets. My fries were limp and no seasonings. my burger was raw. I talked to one of cooks named Ashley I believe she said she'd make me a new one and it came back over cooked. Don't even get me started on how they do the drinks. I had to get 6 new stickers for my souvenir cup which costed 20$ which is out ridiculous. Would not come back here if I was paid too.
Be the first to ReplyThis was an ups and downs experience.
The kids (9,6&4) had a fantastic time. The adults could see that the facility was aging, the mysterious and bogus fees kept piling up, the food was over-priced & below-average, the service was spotty, the kid's activities were OK, the water park was quite safe (lifeguards do a great job) and the building was mostly clean (except for disgusting hallway carpets). AVOID the Lodge Restaurant in the facility. Our expensive meal there was below average and our servers were confused about everything. There is a new parking "fee" that the front desk staff could not explain. They won't tow or ticket your car...just don't pay it.

I got a deal on a room, and my daughter had a blast at the lodge. Sign up for the emails to check out deals. As an adult, I went for her and thought it was a little gross... because most kids are gross. - get the app before you come and try to do paperwork before so that you have the QR code and can skip the line - there is a fridge and microwave in the room. Bring snacks/drinks. The food is a bit costly and not good - bring towels or a cover up. You can rent towels there, but you have to return when you leave the water park. So you might want to bring your own so that kiddos don't freeze on the way back to the room. - aside from water park. There is a magic quest, mini golf, bowling, build a bear, arcade, and activities in the main room. The dance parties are fun, if you have bubble wands at home, bring them. Or you can buy them for $30 there It's cashless, you can link your credit card with the band that you use to get in the park and get in your room. But you need a credit card for the arcade downstairs. Try to go on a weekday, and early. We got there At 10:30 on Friday (park opens at 10) and the only free chairs available were the ones right up against the wave pool. It's $15 to park, and about $74 in resort fees and taxes.
Be the first to ReplyWatch out for hidden fees on that great advertised rate.
The most recent is adding $15 per day parking on top of the hotel and resort fees to the base price. Otherwise had a good time. Very crowded even on a weekday but you can't fault them for having good business. Only negative related to that is it doesn't seem like they are prepared with check in counter and food areas overrun (at least during peak time).
Be the first to ReplyWe got an amazing deal for one night at great Wolf Lodge
We got an amazing deal for one night at great Wolf Lodge and were so excited to go . The check-in process went smoothly, and the people at the front desk were very informative as to the activities of the day. The adults receive a wristband which is connected to your credit card, so you do not need to carry your wallet around which is nice. It is a cashless facility. Bowling and mini golf were seven dollars per player which is pretty reasonable. There are about five restaurants on site, including a Dunkin' Donuts. The breakfast buffet had decent food, and I was happy to see an omelette station. It's nice, because there are activities happening almost every hour or every other hour for the children. My girls favorite is the dance parties, which is like a kiddie rave. All in all the hotel could use some updating as it appears to be fairly old and outdated, but we had an enjoyable stay. Well aside from the family upstairs that were having a stomp party at 11 PM and again at 6 AM. Without the discount, I'm not sure if I would come back to this location because paying full price is quite costly for what you get without it being an updated facility. Also, do not bring any type of floatable rings or pool toys because they do not allow it.
Be the first to Replythey were the most accommodating hotel I had ever been to
they were the most accommodating hotel I had ever been to their coffee is absolutely amazing and worth the stay alone my husband travels a lot for woron and I travel with him. They wereveryaccommodating to me having to stay an extra hour to wait for husband to arrive. They have the ultimate breakfast on their breakfast buffet. They are the nicest set of peoplle i have have met in a very long time. These people really made my day very special. Not to mention these people made the best cup of coffee I have ever had really ever had in my entire life.
Be the first to ReplyWe love going to Great Wolf Lodge Mason.
We go 4 times a year! But honestly with the 14.99 parking on top we might have to reconsider. We usually go for 3 nights. So thats an extra 45 dollars on top of what we are already spending on the room and all the extras that we do. Definitely upsetting because we love going! But its silly to have to pay for parking when they charge enough in the extra fees anyway.
Be the first to ReplyCame for two nights for Spring Break 2023.
We had a great time. Everything was expensive (as expected). Here's why we only gave them 2 stars...1) Prepaid Breakfast - We "prepaid to save" on breakfast when we booked our room. Once we were on site, we learned that the savings were based on the adult price. We actually paid $4 more per kid per breakfast. No problem...until I asked for a price adjustment for the difference. I was informed by the manager that there was nothing she could do. No price adjustment, no credit toward other activities, Nada. Shocking since we probably would have accepted a free round of bowling, which costs them next to nothing. Then she added insult to injury by saying my kids (6, 9) were close to the age that they'd pay the adult amount (over age 10), so I shouldn't care about the difference. By that math my 6 year old was closer to the age where he should be free (under age 4)!2) Poor Orientation - It was our first stay and there was no explanation of how anything worked. I was lucky a friend told me about the free wolf ears, because no one on staff would have mentioned it. What are the hours of the activities? Where are things located? Is there a map? What inner tube color do you need for each water slide? Why are there set tube colors?! We figured things out, but our initial stay was confusing when it didn't need to be.
Be the first to Replybeds were trash and people snatched up our drinks.
workers didn't seem like they wanted to be there lol. Overall bum lookin place ong.
Be the first to ReplyIt was pretty loud at night with people banging around all
It was pretty loud at night with people banging around all night it sucked. So we didn't sleep good. Also the water park closes at 8 pm. That's really early & very disappointing when you check in at 4 & finally get to the pool 6 with only a couple hours to swim. Marnee the manager took care of us after we complained. She took the time out to come our room personally and resolve & clear up the issues and I do appreciate that.
Be the first to ReplyPurchased three rooms for our family to all spend a week
Purchased three rooms for our family to all spend a week end swimming. Park and events were great. Kids and grandkids had a wonderful time. Problem came because we stayed over the next day. Towel rental the second day our children were able to get towels under their room number. When I returned all of the towels at the end of the towels at the end of the day the attendant asked me my room number. I told him we checked out this morning so he asked my name. Never counted the stack of towels only directed me to throw them in the cart. The next day we had a 180 dollar bill. Called and unable to get it removed. You would think a place like this for families that allow you to stay over after check out would have a better system. The rooms were expensive then adding this bogus charge is ridiculous. Be warned.
Be the first to Replyits good place beds kind of suck but its fine the water
its good place beds kind of suck but its fine the water park is good the slides are good and other than the beds its a pretty good place
Be the first to Reply6 people of our party of 12 ended up sick from this place.
Pinkeye and vomiting. I'm sure that the water park area is to blame. We have visited the past and have had wonderful trips. It's definitely going down hill. The fireplace in our room didn't work, there was no lighting in the living room area where there used to be a lamp in previous years and you couldn't even see to do anything. There were muddy shoe prints on our sheets and what looked like blood stains too. I couldn't wait to leave. Never going back which is a shame because we have had great trips in previous years. They need to put some money back into the place at the amount they charge. We also rented a cabana and didn't receive the services explained. Nice to have a dedicated space to put your stuff and for people to meet up, but way overpriced.
Be the first to ReplyI wanted to surprise my daughter on Christmas and we got
I wanted to surprise my daughter on Christmas and we got evacuated before we could even eat our breakfast!!! We were shoved outside in 8 degree weather for over a hour. We left. The employees where inside pushing guest out the door!! When a lady said she didn't even have pants on he said that sucks and locked her out!! So let me get this straight bc I also call cooperate who has not called me back and after I left I called the manager who said your out of luck. You could have came back in after a hour or so so get over it. So I spent 250.00 to have my daughters Christmas ruined without an apology. It was welp this sucks and we are not willing to do anything for you. Yep I even sent them pictures of the employees inside the warm lodge while all the others were forced outside. Oh and the supposed fire was all the way on the other end... and it wasn't a fire!! Hmmmm they have lost my business for good!!!
Be the first to ReplyHere now and this is stay #23.
Every time we have stayed here in the past 2-3 years, it's gone downhill. The bed is probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever attempted to sleep on. The sheets feel like a can of starch has been used on each one and the bed isn't even made correctly or with the correct sheets. There is a flat sheet where a fitted sheet should be and since it's too small, it keeps balling up every time someone moves. There were rude teenagers spitting off of the water slide stairs down into the lazy river and trying to hit people. Told a lifeguard but could not tell if anything was done. There was food and wet napkins everywhere in the water park and the floor was disgusting to walk on. Resort is understaffed and in desperate need of a makeover on the insides of the rooms and not just the pizza area.

Be the first to ReplyGreat adventure and room for kids.
We had a great time. Some of the Wolfpack could use a lesson in hospitality but we all have our days.
